Pictures are originally from: Spartoo.nl

‘’I wish, I wish…’’ Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a bottle to rub so that a friendly genie comes out, who let all your wishes come true? Especially when the genie has an Anna Wintour fashion mind!

Wishlist’s perfect to make for the upcoming holidays. I don’t know about you Loves, but these lasts months of the year equals sale, sale, sale and sale! Think: Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas shopping. Hello, discounts! Even more perfect when you can do your shopping online, while sitting comfortable in your pajama feeling the warmth of your fuzzy socks under your blanket. To make it even more comfortable, at Spartoo.nl you’ll find everything in one place.

So, let me share with you my wish list. I got this beige trench coat from Michael Kors and Levi bootcut jeans on top of my list. I love how chic the trench coat looks! It’s a perfect office style coat, which suits perfect with the bootcut jeans. Further down my list comes the Levi T-shirt. It’s weird, because this basic piece was always on my mind. However, when my paycheck comes, I always seem to forget it when I go shopping. I hope I don’t forget it because of this list. A golden watch comes next. This timepiece is from Michael Kors, I like the details of the watch and if you know me, you would know I like golden arm candy. It just never goes out of style!

The Ugg boot, you either love or hate it. And I love it! Years ago, I had one. I was so obsessed with it that I wore it the whole fall and winter season for….* drumrolls * four years! Don’t judge, those boots are expensive! The next piece on the list, is also a timeless item. The leather jacket is from Guess. I love the faux fur collar, inside the jacket is also layered with faux fur. Keeps me perfectly warm.

The beauty item on my list is the makeup pouch from Furla. I like that shade of red, suits perfect with my Guess red wallet. My list wouldn’t be complete without a bag on it. Yes, I’m a bag-a-holic and no I wouldn’t go to an AA meeting, if there was one! Next item on the list a Tommy Hilfiger wallet. Why? I don’t have particular reason, but I like it has a sophisticated chic look. Also, I’m obsessed with big wallets where I can put all my passes in. Last, but not least: biker boots. I already have one, but I want to update it to a new one. I have mine for quite a while and even though they are still perfect, it is time for a change.

What is on your wish list?

Event Report | BuyLau – Influencer Closet Sale.

I went with my sister to the influencer closet sale hosted by Laura Ponticorvo. She is a Dutch-Italian media personality. I was invited by the sweet owner of LabelDeluxe.nl. Not only do I feel blessed for getting the opportunity to attend an event, I also get to meet new people and I love this the most. So, back to the event loves, clothes! Clothes! Clothes! I wandered in a stalls Walhalla of different goodies. From makeup to hair extensions to cupcakes. It was a mix of everything!

They thought about everything. A DJ fixed the music, a small food truck was available and plenty photograph backgrounds and boots to shoot pictures. As the name of the event says it: there was a lot of Dutch influencers holding their closet sales. I saw some familiar faces who I sometimes watch on their YouTube channels. Some I didn’t have a clue, but it was nice to see a glimpse of their closets.

The event had a dress code, it was black and white with a touch of gold. On my Instagram you could see the white that I wore with the touch of gold. Of course, I wore my Just Cavalli golden heart bracelet!

I saw many colorful clothes and this bohemian style caught my eyes. Same goes for denim, I love denim! A good pair of jeans just never goes out of style.

Of course, I visited the stall from LabelDeluxe. All those arm candies were a joy to look at! Did you know that they also sell Furla, Versace and more luxury items? Definitely your time and purchase worth. Not only does a good jewelry piece add flair into your outfit, it stays always as a classic item in your jewelry box if you decide not to wear it.

Have you ever attended an event?

COLLAB |Fashion| My Luxury Pieces.

Who doesn’t love luxury? And it can be a high-end beauty product, shoes and even taking a bath with your favorite bath bomb after a long stressful day. Or that last macaron piece you graved since your quick breakfast before work. We all love those heavenly moments!

But this blogpost is dedicated to shameless gasping at fashion accessories I recently purchased, two goodies from my favorite brand Guess. I even dedicated a blogpost about my humbled Guess collection. Adding this bag into it…Oops! The handbag called: ‘’Jacqui.’’ Say it in that fake French accent, I don’t judge. I promise! Has orange straps that I quite love. I can wear it as a crossbody bag too, perfect! The combination of golden details with the camel color of the bag and the logos on it, gives that extra luxury vibe. Like sprinkling shamelessly salt in salt bae style.

Statement pieces, that little bit over the top vibe to give your outfit that last bit of extra. This is what I feel with these Just Cavalli from Labeldeluxe.nl arm candy. First, let me talk about the round package it comes with. Doesn’t it give you the chic feeling of having them stalled on a vanity right next to your other luxury pieces?

As you know me Loves, I like when you add some flair into your outfit. The snake ring gives the illusion of crawling around my finger. The pattern and details, it even got little dots as eyes and a tip at the end of the tail, makes the ring definitely a statement piece. Silver and gold, who said it can’t be a combination? I like that only the snakehead is gold, like it jumps out of the bracelet and holds the strap with his mouth.

Writing about gold, the heart of the bracelet has also a ssssnake pattern with a keyhole in the middle. It is finished with little white stones on top of the heart, I like this little detail. So sophisticated!

Jewelry comes next to bags as luxury pieces you can keep forever. Years will pass by and it always come back in trends sooner or later. So, take care of them and mostly enjoy.

I always said that black and gold is such a classic combination, it just never goes out of style. Summer can be over, but the sunglasses is perfectly useable for the next. I wanted a sunnie from a good quality and UV protection.

Since my favorite brand had sale on their sunglasses the choice was easily made. It is the perfect cat eyed sunnie for my oval face, what more could I wish for?

Fashion | GUESS Obsessed.

As long as I can remember, is GUESS one of my favourite brands when it comes to accessories. My first designer bag was a small crossbody blue bag. I was obsessed with it! Since then my love for the brand grew. What I love about the brand is that they have different styles in bags, shoes, wallets and more. From edgy to chic to bohemian, every woman or man will find her or his dream item. I never bought something and later regretted it!

When it comes to bags, I prefer shoppers or handbags with a strap. The first thing that I think about when I look for a bag, is the size the perfect size? I have the habit to take more than I need. So, it has to be a perfect! The shopper is called the Isabeau, I have written a blogpost about it. I wanted an edgy bag, a bag I usually don’t chose easily. But, this time I thought why not? The baby blue snakeskin detailed bag caught my eyes instantly, edgy and yet chic!

My second love for accessories is on the wallets from GUESS. The grey wallet suits perfectly with the Isabeau bag. The wine-red small wallet is perfect for when I decide to take a small bag. My latest purchase is the red wallet. It has many card compartments, an important thing, and golden details. I love that combination, it just never goes out of style! Same goes for the wallet, it has to be the right size. I put cards, of course money and my business cards. I also have coupons and pictures in it. I always make my things personal, especially when they are new. Only then I have the feeling that it’s truly mine.

I always have believed that jewellery makes an outfit complete. The watch has been given to me as a gift by my sister. The bangles have quotes engraved in them. The gold one has ‘’believe in yourself’’ in it and the rose plated has ‘’always & forever’’ in it. Such cute quotes! Definitely ones to remember.

What is your favourite brand?

Fashion | Let’s Go To The Beach!

During summer I feel that the sky is the limit. I feel more energetic, confident and my skin glows. The weather is getting hotter, I’m getting active and love is in the air. I wish I could have summer all year around! Summer wouldn’t be summer if you plan at least one trip to the beach to enjoy your leisure. So, dream with me about going to the beach Loves!

I’m going to the beach and I’m taking with me without a doubt a good fitting swimwear. My tankini did his job, I’m in love! Of course, it should be blue it’s my favourite colour and I like the combination of a tank top with a bikini slip a lot. It adds flair onto your beach day outfit when you wrap a scarf around your hips. The tank top fits perfectly on my pear-shaped body and the bikini slip fits just right on my bum. Hunkemöller is such a paradise when it comes to swimwear, with their diversity of it you’ll find your dream piece. Super model Doutzen Kroes launched her swimwear collection and they are stunning. Don’t even let me write about the accessories they have: heaven!

Sun equals fun and sunscreen, it is so important to use a SPF protection. Sunburn is the downside of a beach day. So, don’t let it ruin your day! When the day comes to an end you feel like you don’t want to go home and you’re in need of a quick refreshment, is a water bottle spray a true holy grail. Perfect for those stuffy nights. Beach day equals also less is more, no makeup because of the natural glow you’ll getting, flip flops and sunglasses to enjoy nature (read: checking out sun kissed six packs).

Fashion | My Go To Summer Essentials.

Spring and summer are my favourite seasons. It goes so far that I literally wear oversized clothing during autumn and winter every single day. Nothing wrong with that, I can wrap myself in my oversized sweater like a burrito. However, it isn’t much exciting as spring and summer clothing! Aside from floral dresses and stripes, am I sharing with you Loves my go to summer essentials that I always wear during summer.

The weather in the Netherlands has bipolar moments so, my number one item is a blazer. It’s perfect for those warm/cold days if you wear a jacket it’s too warm and if you go without one it’s too cold. Same goes with ballerina’s flats, without a doubt you will find a black pair in my shoes collection. As you all know me Loves, I like details! I was pleased to see the golden details on the back of the flat heel. Don’t forget the denim jeans, we ladies have a love and hate relationships when it comes to finding the perfect fit jeans. When we have one, we hold onto it like Frodo and his ring. Right Loves?

Sunglasses an item that is fashionable and practical in one. Perfect way to hide those bags under your eyes because you enjoyed the typical summer night a day before. Jewellery also belongs to my summer essentials list. Especially golden jewellery because it matches with a tan perfectly!

Share with me your essentials. Maybe I forgot a key piece!

Fashion | Statement Earrings.

Move over statement necklaces, there is new statement jewellery in fashion town. They have been risen from the neck to ears and are here to stay! Well, at least until a next trend shows up and claims the town. As you know me Loves, I’m hooked on accessories that make an outfit complete. That’s why I like this trend as much as the statement necklaces hype.

Even though you wear your favourite denim jeans with just a white tee these beauties will add some flair onto your outfit. Statement earrings are the perfect fashion item that comes in different styles and sizes next to bags and don’t forget, SHOES! I truly feel in my element if I see a good piece. Who is with me? As much I love to follow trends, how outrageous they can be: I still be close to my own style. That’s why I picked earrings that have a statement vibe but are still simple and sophisticated.

I am a firm believer that golden accessories give a chic appearance. The colour gold in fashion items is timeless and can be worn at many occasions. The upcoming holidays is the perfect time to shine! I like the feather details on the earring, it looks like a dreamcatcher. Rose gold accessories is also a colour that is stepping up on the ladder of timeless fashion items. I see it more and more in stores and I’m not complaining! I chose for a long leaf earring, it looks so good when you wear your hair loose with it. Same goes with creoles earrings, it gives that extra flair to your hairdo.

As I already have written before, I still am close to my own style. I wouldn’t be me if I don’t have a pair or two of simple statement earrings. I like the pink flower one because it comes close to ear studs that I daily wear, it accentuates my jawline. The long silver coloured ones are perfect when you want to keep it down but still want to have your earrings noticed. It looks great with your work outfit and you must go straight to a dinner or party.

Event Report | Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. #MBFWA

Fashion week Amsterdam has come to an end and I still have an ecstatic after feeling. This was my first fashion week attendance and I loved every bit of it. I went to the catwalk show from Sophia Bentoh and Sunanda Chandry Koning. Both designers showed their collection with a message and it was loud and clear.

Sophia Bentoh went back to her roots. Her collection Ibileye which means ‘’beautiful as a precious piece of fabric’’ is a contrast of African prints meets pop/punk. It was beautifully outspoken on the catwalk. It is a mix and match of colours and clothing pieces for men and women. She draws the prints by herself and prints it with a screen-print on the clothing. Not only she makes figurative prints from African origin, but also symbols that we all know like peace signs, spikes and safety pins.

Sophia comes from a creative family. Her father is a sculptor and her mother a doctor that makes her own clothes. Her passion for fashion started right from her home. With her personal memories, culture and hard work: Ibileye was born. I like that she got inspired by her roots. As a Moroccan, I can truly appreciate traditional clothing that represents my culture. Because of this I felt a connection with her collection.

The models she chose for the catwalk are individually unique, not the models you used to know. Same goes for the models from designer Sunanda. Her clothing collections comes with messages like make love not war and gender acceptance. She uses many twins as models with the thought to represent connectivity in her clothing. She showed her capsule collection Behemoth. Unfinished clothing pieces were at the end free to take because she stripped her models into white tops and underwear. Expect for two twin models who she let walk topless on the catwalk. It was not clear what to do with the clothing that she left. I looked it up online and find out that the unfinished clothing was free to take to make it your own by her or yourself. I like the thought behind it, nothing is perfect. Make it your own. Too bad it wasn’t clear for the audience.

I had such a lovely day! I went with my sister and made it a girl’s day out. It was interesting to experience the event. Even if you curious just to see how a fashion show looks like, you would be impressed by the music you hear and the people around you.

New In | GUESS Isabeau.

I gave into my addiction: bags. I get so easily persuade just only by looking at them. The joy that I find in them are that they come in different styles and sizes. The most of all, no matter which style you wear: you will find a bag to match with. Just perfect!

I like the light grey colour of the bag. It gives it a chic look. You can adjust the belt handles at your choice, which is nice. You can wear it on your shoulders and take it with you by hand. What I also like is that the bag is a shopper size and since I take items with me that I basically don’t need, is the size great for me. It also has four small inner pockets. One with a zipper where I put my id in. Two small ones, one for my business cards and one for my favourite lipstick and of course the usual small pocket for my phone. This is so ideal because I can get sometimes frustrated if I can’t put the small things neat in my bag that I frequently need. How about you Loves?

I am lately into the minimal style. I’m still wearing black, white and grey lately. I am even turning my room decor slowly in these colours. So, this bag is a new addition for my change to minimal style. I probably will do a room tour on my blog when I finish it. Back to my bag: I am a bit in love with it because it was a while since I bought something for myself that came with a price.  Under the guise of good grades, I gave myself a go.

GUESS is well known for their brand logo at the front of their bags and chains. I like that they are in golden. I like the combination of light grey and gold. It also makes it a true GUESS bag.

What do you think Loves?

Fashion | Head Over (Heels) Shoes!

‘’I have enough shoes’’ said no woman ever! It’s a fact that we ladies always say to ourselves ‘’I don’t have this one yet’’ or ‘’it is on sale’’ while we have many from different styles and colours. Don’t forget the many pairs we have from the same style but in different colours! Shoes are like black little dresses, for every occasion we need/have one. Every season needs a new wardrobe well, the same goes for shoes. Right Loves? Spring equals no-more-fuzzy-socks-in-boots attitude, time to wiggle our toes!

As much I enjoy living in the Netherlands I wish I could change the weather with a blink of an eye. During spring the sun comes behind the clouds with the wind chasing after him. We sometime have a beautiful sunny morning that turns into rain and thunder and makes our hair like cotton candy. Even the weather app can fool you. It would be such a bummer when you are wearing open shoes and the rain pours out of the sky right on top of your freshly nail polished toes. Thank god for Oxford shoes! I fell in love with the pink and the black lacquer one. This is what I meant with same style, different colour. I even walk so comfortable with them. What more can I say!

Now, it is obviously that I am a shoe-a-holic. I am having lately a crush on suede/velvet shoes. I wanted a good black loafer and a cute block heels shoes. Making the decision to put the loafer and sandals into the virtual shopping basket was easy made. You can wear the loaders as slippers just by letting the heel parts down. It reminded me of the fluffy slippers from Gucci. I mostly walk on flat shoes because of college and whenever I run for small errands. Sometimes I feel bad for not wearing heels, quite a waste because I have them collecting dust in my closet. With these I am trying to change that. Now I must wait until summer to wiggle my toes in them.

Watches are the perfect accessories that you can wear with any style. They are timeless, fashionable and because of the many designs it is a style chameleon of an item. I like it! Even if you wear it with no other accessory it can make your outfit complete. Simplicity with a twist is than my favourite go to when it comes to fashion.

I recommend you Loves to start with your own watch collection. They always come in good use. Not only they are practical they are a great accessory to add flair on your ootd. They are also a good investment when it comes to having a collection of expensive bling.

img_5115

img_5119

My watches are very diverse from chic to edgy. They match with the many outfits I wore and still wear. Find your own style and match the watches with your own taste. My newest addition is the brown gold watch from Rosefield. It is truly my latest obsession! I did not have a brown one yet, so the decision was easy made. What I love about watches is that I see them as something that I use with my daily essentials and it depends on how I feel, what I wear which one I want to wear it with. When I wear, my golden Guess watch I feel a bit special because it is given to me by my sister as a birthday gift. This one has an emotional value.

img_5132

img_5134

Simplicity is truly my statement, so I fell in love with my black Daniel Wellington watch. I have it for a while now and I still can’t get enough of it. A black coloured watch is to me like a little black dress; it is a fashion item that you need to have.

img_5136

img_5139

img_4969

I’m not the most difficult person when it comes to purchasing stuff. I can be easily happy with an inexpensive product as with an expensive one. So, I was happy to see beautiful watches with good quality and wallet friendly. On top of that; they are perfect for my style!

img_0753

I like the colour pink a lot, it looks sweet and yet again the choice was easy made. To make my basis colours watches complete I added of course a grey one. To keep it edgy I wanted a watch that has a striking look. My silver Guess watch with leopard print on the side was my perfect match.

Fashion – Tips | Sunnies All Season.

img_4915

It is all about the details, this is my well-known motto. When I have this kind of moment I get all tingly inside because I have that thought that nothing is perfect unless you look closer to details and then style it on your own.

img_4823

You would understand my thought just by looking at these Solo-Solis sunnies. I fell in love with the cat eyed frame, it reminded me of the popular sunglasses from Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Since I’m writing about details, the golden parts of the sunnie got me hooked! Black with gold never goes out of style and the combination together is just perfect.

img_4911

The beauty of sunnies is that you can use them daily, to me they are just like wearing your favourite lipstick. It is always good and it doesn’t even matter what you wear or what your style is. Solo-Solis means in Latin ‘’Only Sun’’ but that does not stop me to wear it all seasons I mean, how could I? They have many sophisticated frames that even I couldn’t pick just one!

img_4912

What I truly love about this Sunnie is it is light weighted, perfect when you put it on your chest when you wear a shirt or on top of your head to give your whole look that extra flair. They are very thoughtful when it comes to their eyewear, they have a UV400 protection. You can cheerfully enjoy your view during sunny days and how can I forget what we all secretly do; staring at that hottie who crossed your path. Right Loves?

Fashion | Crossbody Bags & Clutches.

img_4632

When it comes to diversity in fashion, style comes in different items and sizes. You will always find something that truly belongs to your style, to me that is the beauty of fashion. I define my style as “not perfect”. This means to me that my style comes in many names, from minimal to edgy to bohemian. I like oversized, layering and neat. I like, chic, casual and girly. When you could look into my closet you would see what I mean when I write that fashion can be a Walhalla for mixing and matching and I love it!

Today I’m showing you Loves not my all cross body and clutches collection. I promise you would love it especially when you have “fashion is more than clothing” in the back of your beautiful minds.

img_4636

I don’t stick to one colour when it comes to my bags. I believe that bags are just like shoes you can match them with many styles. I do stick with chic, minimal and bohemian designs because they come close to my own style. I wanted to add a bright colour into my collection with a chic yet edgy touch. When I saw the pink one at Primark I liked it instantly! This is the clutch that I had in mind. Normally I keep my taste save but I had ‘’why not?’’ moment when I saw the beads cross body bag. I hold it in my hand with this ootd because the sound of the beads was a bit overwhelming while walking. Holding it in my hand the sound was slightly less.

The bleu Guess bag was my first designer bag I bought. I remembered the day that I bought it, I was with two of my best friends and just got my first pay check. I was so excited! I have it for years now and even if it contains traces that it is worn a lot, it is still dear to me that I don’t want to throw it away. I think that this is what they mean when they say you cannot forget your first love hihi..

Imagine yourself in colourful Morocco with many colours around you, Moroccan architecture, their traditional clothing and the souks with little mountains of spices. Are you imagining it already Loves? This vibe I’m still having when I look at my orange leather bag from Morocco. I fell in love with the beauty of the colour orange and the details on it.

Fashion – Style Tips | Basic Love!

IMG_3830

Fashion is important, your own style defines who you are. I always say and think that fashion is like falling in love at the first sight that grows into loving the inside. At the very beginning you search what your style is. At some moments in your life you go with the flow and it can turn out ugly or straight up beautiful. When that stage is over you are going to feel comfortable in your own skin that results into maintaining in your own style creation.

It doesn’t matter what kind of style you have, from bohemian, to modern or to preppy. We all need the basics to start with. If you have a style like mine that is minimal and less is more, am I going to tell you Loves what my style tips are.

IMG_3825

The perfect denim jeans, we cannot live without them. Yes, literally! We all own one or two pairs that we wear daily. The one that uplifts our butt, our confidence and even let us think about our memories: the jean that you wore on your first date or the one that you wore on your break up. Our beloved jean: we wash you, throw you on the floor and even tear you apart but we adore you!

The second clothing piece has also a place in our hearts and wardrobes. The black blazer. Perfect with the jean, dress and skirt! A versatile garment that everyone should have. The endless combinations that you can make with it is just amazing. One of the combinations is wearing it with a blouse. It can be a beautiful white one, chic black or a stripped one just for that extra flair!

IMG_3827

Not only with clothing you need the basics, accessories play a big part too. Not only they make an outfit complete it gives also that last boost up! I bet on it that every lady has at least one black handbag or clutch. The same as the black blazer Loves, you can use and take it with you and it doesn’t even matter which style you have.

Pumps! The heeled shoes that never goes out of style and to be honest, any black heeled shoe. From round noses and yes, even flats. They are perfect for any style and it belongs into the list of many other dream pairs like the sneakers and ankle boots.

To put the last finishing touches, I recommend every fashionista to invest in a good watch that has the basic colours as black and silver. To stay in your style, you always can add it up with a print or edgy details like leopard spots. Don’t forget the silver rings, yet again with an edgy touch like a black gemstone or adding a pendant on a simple necklace.

What are your basics?

Fashion – Style Tips | Making A Statement.

IMG_3819

IMG_3731

I just love when fashionable pieces keeps coming back in all fashion seasons. The statement necklace is one of them and as a representative of details makes an outfit complete; I’m right up in my alley.

My all-time favourite way to style a power necklace is when it peeps out from a collar that is all buttoned up. To me its gives a mysterious playful look to your outfit. The second way to style an eye candy is wearing it with a high turtleneck sweater. Whenever you put your hair up in a bun or in a ponytail it gives an open look to your whole outfit. Wearing it this way makes your necklace truly an eye catcher.

IMG_3743

IMG_3782

IMG_3798

How about wearing it with details on details? It sounds as a mouth full but trust me it is beautiful. Do not hesitate to wear it with a detailed top; as long you keep the rest of your OOTD subtle it is not too much and certainly not a problem! Besides in fashion is everything possible.

IMG_3812

IMG_3817

There are many ways to style a statement necklace a round closed neckline belongs also in the list. I like to combine the colours of my outfit with the statement necklace. This way it brings back to colours in your outfit so it doesn’t have to be so ordinary. Just like I like to try things out, same goes for my hairstyle whenever I’m wearing a statement necklace. It is called a statement necklace not for no reason; flaunt it!

In my previous #ootd I told you Loves I threw a glimpse at my shoes to wear with the outfit I posted. Now I’m giving you a look at my shoe collection! I’m having quite an addiction and collected over the year’s shoes. I have shoes that are more than five years old! Having lots of shoes is an advantage since you can often change with your outfit or even just with your own mood. Shoes come in many colours, shapes and sizes so every woman or man will find their dream pair. Besides clothing sizes changes a lot but feet sizes will always remain the same, right Loves?

Let me start with my black coloured shoes. As you can see, I have many ankle boots. I think it is because I prefer them the most. That’s the beauty of shoes; I have from flat soles to heels and simple to detail. Same goes with my brown coloured shoes. Wearing Uggs can be sometimes a relieve, especially in the winter month!

IMG_3470

IMG_3472

Shoes are for all occasions. I can be so happy with just watching them displayed in my closet just because the heels are too high for wearing it all day. I keep this torture for special day’s hihi…

Speaking about occasions, Summer shoes or Moroccan loafers, do I need to say more? And I even did not show you my whole collection of it. Ballerinas, sandals and slippers are during Summer nice to wear. Imagine wiggling your nail polished toes in them!

I went to my first press event I was very excited and still am about it. If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (SaidaSnaps) you could get a glimpse of that day, which I believe that you would love. Otherwise let me give you a quick reminder of which brands I got introduced at.

OPI.

The perfect nail polish to every woman. They focus on beautiful coloured fingernails and taking care of them. Using a base coat and a top coat after you use the colour of your choice is very important. O.P.I. is a professional nail care industry that is committed to give their users safety and innovation. The brand is also well known of their exceptional formula, fashionable colours and iconic names!

Silhouette.

Authentic eyewear since 1964, Austrian made. The eyewear is based on beauty and harmony. The designs are sleek and timeless. What impressed me the most is the frame of the glasses. It is weightless! Whenever you put it on you feel that you have no glasses on at all. And with the many designs there is something for everyone.

Omoda.

Omoda is an online shoe web shop for fashionable women, men and children. Something for everyone! It is a truly shoe Walhalla for online shoe shoppers. From different brands to colour and sizes you’ll find your own dream pair!

Swarovski.

The brand I truly got impressed by! Their well-known crystals shine like little stars. You can imagine why I’m very happy with the gift that is been given to me on the press day. Whoop! The rose gold colour is very hip and trending and I like it!

Event Report | New Collections & Brands. MooiPR.

I was invited to MooiPr Happy Day where I got introduced to new collections and brands. If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (SaidaSnaps) you would see a glimpse of the beautiful new collections of Swarovski, Omoda, Silhouette, OPI & Mi Moneda. I was truly impressed by Swarovski from the moment I walked in! The sparkles of the crystal made me feel like a kid in a candy store. So many colours! I love it!

Swarovski.

Not only is Swarovski well known for their crystals but also till today a family company run by 5th generation family members! Such a beautiful loyalty. Their new collection is inspired by the many coral reefs. You would see different colours than you used to see from Swarovski. The colours like sea blue, golden brown and sweet rose pearls are eye candy’s.

Atelier Swarovski is known of their high fashion collections. They collaborated with Miranda Kerr and H&M and having new collaborations with Jean Paul Gaultier and Frederikson Stallard. I know Jean Paul Gaultier as a designer who focusses on the beauty of imperfections. You can see this too in the collection with Swarovski. The golden brown necklaces have imperfect crystals that I truly like. It shows me that imperfections are beautiful too! Frederikson Stallard wanted to show with their Swarovski collection that you should protect the things you truly love. It is shown at their design. The crystals are saved in a ‘’cage’’. What a beautiful thought.

Silhouette.

Authentic eyewear since 1964, Austrian made. The eyewear is based on beauty and harmony. The most demanding requirements in terms of design are to let the individuality of the wearer shine. The designs are sleek and timeless. What impressed me the most is the frame of the glasses. It is weightless! Whenever you put it on you feel that you have no glasses on at all. And with the many designs there is something for everyone.

Leren Connor, she surprised me again! Her artistic expression I can see again in her festival collection. Her originality and attention to detail proves to be her trademark which I truly appreciate. When I see this collection the first thing that comes to my mind is happiness. The typical festival mood laid back and relaxed. Skirts from strips of fabric, tulle and crop tops anything goes!

”Over the last few months, Leren Connor and the team have taken a dramatic turn on the route to achieving their goals through the fashion industry and now the Festival scene.

This year LerenHQ Has spent a lot of time getting to know the Comic Convention industry which has also enticed the start of costume design through both Leren Connor and GYGO (get your geek on) the sister brand. Taking a step back from usual routine and embarking on a new path this small independent label has been making some big steps in all the right places.

So much has changed and due to this the team is thoroughly excited about the next year to come. Back in 2012 Leren attended her 1st Festival “Wilderness” as a trader, from this the team has been eager to get stuck in with the festival scene, this year it happened. At the end of August this label travelled down south to attend Into the Wild Festival, with the designs selling like hot cakes Leren is even more determined to get the Festival wear out there. Festivals are a great way to express costume design as well which is why it will also be a great marketing place for GYGO the sister brand which specializes in geek wear and costume design.

80% of what this label does is recycled and upcycled, the free fabric skirts and headbands you see are made from all the scraps collected in the Leren Connor studio.”

Her hold on environmentally friendly design also applies to this collection and that makes it yet again unique. You can see that she loves what she makes and it also radiates from her collections.

The growth she is experiencing is noticed. Hard work really pays off. Her devotion will bring her to high places that she deserves. We will hear from her again!

Do you love this collection as much as I do?

Fashion Sketch By Me | Nature Love.

I’ve noticed that it has been a while since I sketched. My portfolio was not up to date at all and I decided to work on it.

The first thing I wanted to do is to get inspiration so I surfed the web and flipped through many fashion magazines. I saw a lot of beautiful pieces that caught my eye but I truly found my peace with the nature ones. When I saw the nature pictures on the web I instantly saw how the dress would look like! So I started to sketch.

I’m very pleased how they turned out. It is exactly what I had in mind! I even noticed that I’m growing in my sketches. It is more detailed than before.  I enjoyed every bit of it and told myself I should pick it up more!

Event Report | DRKS. Dreams Do Come True.

IMG_1653

Last Sunday I attended the DRKS Bloggers Contest. I got impressed from the moment I walked into the trend show of DRKS until the end.

The hosts gave me and my sister a warm welcome. I imagined myself in a jewellery Walhalla! As I tried the jewellery on, with the help of the cute host, I felt like a princess!

MoiDRKS3

When the trend show started and the models walked on the catwalk too show the beautiful pieces, I did not get bored. So many various items that make the jewellery complete. Freshwater pearls, crystal and many more! Except nickel, you cannot find it in the collection. This makes it unique!

As I get to know more about DRKS, I knew this brand is a success and it will stay a success. The story behind DRKS is a dream came true. Miriam Derksen the designer and founder of DRKS ended her job as a lawyer to go after her dreams. With her 15 years of experience on designing she created her own style.

While trying the jewellery on, I noticed that the jewellery are so light to wear! She thought about this so well, wearing heavy jewellery, especially in your ears can be so annoying. Amazing that she thought about this little detail!

IMG_1621

What I love about DRKS is that Miriam has an eye for details and a thoughtful thought towards her production and collections. Not only is the jewellery handmade in the Netherlands, she wanted her creations to be pure and honest! No mass production in low wage countries! How amazing is that?

It was so nice to meet her! She took her time to give answers to me and my sister’s questions. She even gave me advice to talk with other designers for a possible collaboration. Talking about women empowering!

Fashion Collab | LEREN CONNOR.

Watercolour3web

Fashion is to me an artistic expression of defining who you are. Through clothing you’ll get to know a bit of people just by looking at their first sight.

Whenever I see the work from LEREN CONNOR I see refined modern art. The fashion and jewellery designer based in Derby England has an eye for details. She has truly magic hands.

Her focus on every clothing piece can be seen on the fabric and shape. The thoughts behind her collections is that no fabric is a waste. She believes in recycling, charity shops and second hand clothing pieces which makes her collections more and more beautiful.

Collection Spring/Summer 2015.

I’m gladly to introduce to you LEREN CONNOR Spring/Summer 2015 collection Colour Pop.

This collection truly pops! I really like the combination of simple with edgy details. The colours gives a spring/summer vibe and the details are perfectly chosen.

Leren Connor
S/S15 – Colour Pop
“He who knows how to appreciate colour relationships, the influence of one colour on another, their contrasts and dissonances, is promised an infinitely diverse imagery.” ~Sonia Delaunay

”For S/S15 we bring you the colours of spring and summer, the vibes of the festival season, those relaxing summer nights, day trips out with the girls and the atmosphere of the heat and that inner rainbow we all have inside us. We all rejoice in the sun and bask in the fresh smell of blooming flowers and the cool breezes that pass through the freshly cut grass and moves through the trees. They’re the seasons of adventure and spontaneity, the months of relaxation, but also a time to get your best summer attire out the wardrobe and show the world your vibrant self.”

”S/S15 for us was all about mixing colour and print together, the atmosphere of summer and the calm of spring inspired me, inspiration from warm memories and the blissful moods of spring and summer, everything is always brighter and colour flows frequently in every direction. I began with pantones and began to bring in neutrals that contrasted well when the prints were brought into play, making sure the collection was versatile and capsule collection was key, it needed to target a wider audience.”

DSC_0591

”I wanted to create simple yet eclectic garments that you can wear either in the day and then mix it up in the evening, the collection ranges from festival wear, casual wear and evening wear. Fabrics through out the collection are a combination of recycled material and also fabric from our suppliers, I also had the pleasure of making our own fabric for this collection, in two of the jackets we see our free fabric which are made up from all the scraps of fabric used through out the collection. Three of the dresses are made from free lace with each piece having their own colour way. Recycling is and will always be a huge part of what we do here at Leren Connor and what a better way to show it off through our S/S15 capsule collection.”

The more I look at the collections the more I like it. Leren Connor has a distinct style that she express in a beautiful way. Her work is thoughtful also towards her customers. Every original piece is handmade, if you see a piece that you truly love you can contact her to pass your clothing size. This shows to me adhesion to her customers and devotion to her collections!

I’m obsessed with the trend statement necklaces! I’m seeing them everywhere, from sophisticated to chic to truly eye catchers! I love the way it sparkles your outfit especially when you wear it under the collar of a blouse.

Statement necklaces, the name says it, it really does give you a statement. You can wear it on a school/college day or a chic one at the office. Don’t forget the holidays, just for the last finishing touch on your Christmas outfit.

Of course I like all my statement necklaces, every time I want to wear one is a true surprise which one I want to wear!

Fashion Sketch By Me | Oscar de la Renta Inspired!

IMG_0869 IMG_0870 IMG_0871 IMG_0872

I was looking through my phone on my fashion related apps and I saw on all the news feeds that Oscar de la Renta passed away. As a fashion lover I looked him up on the internet, I already knew him as a fashion designer but had no clue what he all created. As I was looking through his dresses Walhalla, I was impressed! It looked amazing and mostly original! He surely left a fashion legacy.
So I started to take my pencil and draw Oscar de la Renta inspired dresses.

‘’Valentino Feather’’ a sweetheart neckline and a feather waistline style line skirt.
‘’Classic Feather’’ a high neckline and an A-Line split skirt with black details on top.
‘’ Strapless Fishtail/Mermaid’’ an strapless neckline with see trough fabric on the waist with bleu stone details.

I really like it! Do you?

Event Report | Grazia Magazine Fashion Masterclass.

Blogpost Fotos

I attended the fashion master class of Grazia magazine! I saw the event at the Facebook group Blogger Community Nederland. I was very curious about it!

As days went by before the day of the master class I felt very excited about it! I also was nervous because I never went to events like this. I am a social person but when I’m not familiar with something I attend to back off. But since I started to blog I taught myself to meet new people and stand in front of the line to talk about my blog because I am very proud of it and that’s it is oke to show things that you love to do.

The master class started at 09:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam. I signed myself in and they showed us the way for a nice cup of coffee or tea. The class started at 10:00 a.m. Dutch stylist Manon Meijers talked about the in’s and out’s of her profession. You can visit her website at MonStyle then there was Cara Schiffelers she is the Fashion Director of Grazia. She told us all about behind the scenes of the magazine. I always wanted to work for a fashion magazine but due circumstances I put this dream away. What she said stayed with me: ‘’working for a magazine is not like The Hills! Keep on dreaming!’’ I instantly thought about Ugly Betty! It gave me a smile on my face because I really liked the show! But it also made me realize to get back to the reality!

After these two lessons we had lunch in the beautiful restaurant of the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel. As I sat down to enjoy the meal Tamara Tuithof from Holland Style joined me. Such a sweet girl! She is the founder of Holland Style and gave me a lot of tips about blogging and the whole packaged. I’ll definitely go to use them for in the future!

The lessons started again. This time Bridget Maasland television host and Fashion Designer talked about her in’s and out’s of her profession and how she started in the fashion business. What was very nice to hear that it is a family business. She took her parents with her and they answered a lot of questions from the audience. You could see that they are a very loving family. I recommend you to take a look at The Daily Lady It’s worth your time!

After a break, Fashion designer Bas Kosters came in to tell his story. From the moment he spoke I could see that he was very passionate about his work. He talked about his collection Love, Fuck Yeah! How it started and what was the idea behind it. His style is very daring en even provocative. You either hate it or love it!

Editor Hilmar Mulder attended the master class too. She thanked all of us from coming. She looked very stylish in blue! Keep updated about her on social media. It’s too bad that she’s going to be the editor of ELLE magazine. I truly believe that she will be missed!

When the classes were over we all went to the Sky Lounge were we mingled while enjoying a small snack and a drink. Grazia did not leave us empty handed. They gave us a full goodie bag as a gift! It’s always fun to open presents!

At the end of the day, I surely lost my fashion virginity. I left with a lot of experience and blisters on my feet! TOTALLY WORTH IT!
