Collab | Beauty | By Dash Beauty.

NEWS FLASH: gather around mua’s and makeup lovers, its time to take notes! Meet vegan and cruelty free cosmetic brand By Dash Beauty, as their motto says: ‘’where beauty becomes magic’’ I couldn’t agree with it more. Say hello to high quality and pretty prices!

What I love about By Dash Beauty it is so feminine. If you look at their Instagram account, you’ll know what I mean. A feed with love for pink, shades of red and boss babes! When you want to see how the lip gloss colours or different eyelashes look like on a pretty face, you know where to go. From a classic red lip gloss to dramatic Betty Boop eyelashes to makeup accessories, to the perfect dress: it’s like a walk-in closet. Everything is right in front your eyes.

On my lips I used lipliner shade On Fire. Just to line my cupid arrow and the sides of my lips. I did not over line them, I don’t like an unnatural look. The pigment is so good, it does not smudge after hours. I love how it matches perfectly with the lip gloss I’m wearing. It’s called Flamingo and it looks exotic as it sounds. The shade gives me classic vibes, you never can go wrong with red coloured lips. The lip gloss contains shea butter and vitamin E, my lips stay moisturized during my day. A lip balm is not needed!

Are you also into cruelty free and vegan makeup?

Collab | Beauty | “Ice Ice (globes) Baby.”

‘’Ice ice baby…Ice ice baby.’’ Sorry I couldn’t help myself! It is exactly what I think when I look at the ice globes. Just like the song, I like it! Tried it on my lovely mother and she likes it too! Overall, only positive vibes when it comes to the ice globes.

First, eye candy meets the eye. The package looks amazing in a firmly baby blue box that you can close with a ribbon. Love the idea behind a reusable box! When you open it, you feel like Cinderella who sees her glass heels for the first time. It fits perfectly in the cut-out form of the ice globes. You will not worry that it will break when you put it back in the box, to use it again during your skincare routine. You can enjoy the experience of the ice globes in the comfort of your home. All you must do is put it in your freezer for 30 minutes and if you have time or leave it overnight.

You must have seen ice globes on your social media feeds, they look intriguing and colourful! The benefits of using the globes are reducing swelling or puffiness, minimizing of pores for a smoother complexion, radiant glowing skin, improves chronic skin conditions and soothes the skin after intensive facial procedures. Quite a list for what it’s good for! Personally, I love it for my swelling and puffiness around my eyes, cheeks, and neck. Especially in the morning when I wake up. During my night routine I love using the globes on my eyes, to relax my eye muscles because of my work. I stare 8 hours for three days in front of a screen. I wear subscription lenses and at my work I mostly wear my subscription glasses. So, resting my eyes after a long day is much needed.

Lastly, The FRAÎCHEUR ice globes are made from high quality freezeproof borosilicate glass. It is filled with an antifreeze liquid, which makes the ice globes easy and fast to use. They are also hypoallergenic, cruelty free, vegan, alcohol free and suitable for all skin types. Hello sustainability!

Disclaimer: the ice globes has been gifted to me, I tried it on myself, and my mother and they are beauty approved!

Beauty | My Beauty Tools.

What I truly like about everything beauty, is the diversity you’ll find. There are many options available for your skin, you will find a product that suits you the best. From high end to drugstore to vegan to cruelty free to products for all skin types and colour. Thankfully beauty brands are very dynamic and changes a lot!

I don’t know about you guys, but I like to have items that I can use for a long time. If you had the opportunity to visit my room, you would find stuff I have for ages. My little brothers say that I have a store in my room, because I’m such a hoarder when it comes to reusable stuff. Or anything stuff…I’m just a person who takes care of her belongings. I believe I’m not the only one, after all we work for it.

If you are a everything beauty related addict like me, I would like to introduce you to my beauty must haves. First, I would like to start with a basic must have, makeup brushes. Having makeup brushes from good quality helps a lot with applying makeup. I like the brushes from Real Techniques, the hairs/bristles don’t come off and feel soft. When I apply my makeup with it, it goes smooth over my face and eyelids. I also like that they have written on the brushes what you can use the brushes for. Perfect for when you are a newbie in the makeup game. It also doesn’t cost much; it comes in sets. So, you have a couple of brushes that are worth your money. I have been using it for quite a while now and they are still in a good shape.

I have been thinking about my skincare routine a lot lately. As I’m getting older, I want to change or add products into my routine. When I was younger, I didn’t care much about skincare. Now I love to put a mask on, use vitamin c, eye serum and more! However, once in while or when I’m not too busy or tired, I like to use beauty tools for that extra bit of care. I’m hooked lately on my heart shaped rose quartz from H&M. I use it after my vitamin c serum, just to relax my muscles and for the blood circulation on my face and neck. I also love to put it in my refrigerator for that cold touch under my eye. The roller, also from H&M, I use it when I applied a sheet mask on my face. This way the ingredients of the sheet mask get absorbed through my skin. The tool with the rose quartz round vibrates. I namely use it on and around my eyes. During my day I wear contact lenses or glasses when I work behind a screen for 8 hours. Sometimes my eyes feel dry and irritated. So, I like to take care of them too. When I put a sheet mask on, I sometimes use a derma roller from Swiss Clinic on my jawline. Just to give my skin a boost and let it heal my acne scars, that I still suffer from due to PCOS. But that is a story for another day!

When I really want to pamper myself, I use the big guns. The light therapy device from Touch Beauty heats my skin gently and increases the production of collagen. It gives my complexion a youthful look. For those annoying and stubborn blackheads, I use Pore Perfection. The gentle suction helps to remove blackheads on my forehead, nose, and apple cheeks. When I’m finished my skin feels soft and has a natural glow. What I love about all the tools, is that it is easy and quick to use.

What is your beauty tool that I should try?

Beauty | 2 Makeup Brands I Love With A Small Price Tag.

Who doesn’t love the small things in life? A smile that is given, buying yourself or getting flowers from a loved one, a walk at the beach…Small prices for good quality. If you know me, I love a good item that is worth the money, small or big.

When I was younger, I tried makeup out to see which shade suits my skin tone. I started with brands that didn’t cost much. I tried many brands to find hidden gems, it felt like I was searching for a needle in a haystack. So, I was pleased to find Kiko Milano and Essence Cosmetics.

The price range from Kiko Milano starts at €4 and ends at €25, unless it is a limited edition set, collaboration collection or special occasions collection, a little disclaimer here. From the buys I did, I never got disappointed. It has good pigment; it doesn’t smell toxic or bad and the structure of the makeup feels soft and easy to apply. I’m using the Green Me hydrating BB Cream in shade Porcelain for more than a year now and when I have nothing left of it, it goes straight into my virtual shopping basket. I’m also obsessed with their lip glosses. Not only does Kiko Milano has beautiful shades, but it also has a non-toxic smell or feel. Which is amazing, you don’t wat to apply something on your lips that doesn’t feel right, right? The bronzers are also pretty goodies that I love to use, same goes for their highlighters. The bronzers are not too dark for my skin tone and the highlighters are good pigmented and gives that perfect glow during my day.

When it comes to nail polishes, eye and lipliners is Essence Cosmetics my BFF. Love the many colors I can use while I play with my makeup. I’m a sucker for eye looks, so the eyeliners are perfect to start with. I only use the lipliners when I want a full makeup look, I mostly do when I’m invited for parties. In my case: Moroccan weddings. When I visit the drugstore, I always walk by the makeup aisle. I always look if Essence Cosmetics has a new collection. When it does, I look at their lipsticks and glosses. Nine out of the ten times I put it in the shopping basket. If I urge myself, I don’t need it I put it back. If not, I lost to the urge.

Which small prices cosmetic brand is your favorite?

Beauty | My Favorite Perfumes This Season.

Perfume is next to bags and shoes my favorite obsession. My collection includes drugstore and high-end goodies, I don’t discriminate! I’m truly a fan of beautiful perfume bottles, they are so nice to look at, definitely eyecatchers. My obsession for perfume started at first with sweet girly scents. My preference was flower scented perfumes with a sweet touch. As I’m getting older and look further than my horizon, I tend to go for perfumes with a wooden undertone. This doesn’t mean I gave up sweet girly flower-scented perfumes. It’s more like I upgraded it to a more grown woman flower wooden scent. If you know what I mean? I also change my perfume like my wardrobe during the seasons. It’s like I’m adjusting it to my mood and weather. How colder the season, how warmer and sensual my perfume gets.

I don’t have a top 3/5/10 list because I like them all. However, I would like to start with Dior Pure Poison because it was for a long while on my mind to buy. My sister bought it for herself and I got hooked on it too.  It has a flower oriental scent, which makes the perfume feminine and sensual. It gives that warm feeling whenever you smell it. It also stays so long; you don’t smell it but the people around you will. So, don’t forget to shine because you’ll get random compliments during your day!

I received Perfect from Marc Jacobs from Glamour Magazine NL to review. I fell first in love with the bottle! It’s so pretty and cute. Even the story behind the name of the perfume is something that is amazing. Marc Jacobs got Perfect tattooed on his arm, to celebrate being perfect just the way he is and wanted to share with you all that you’re also perfect the way you are. What I love about the scent is that you smell the warmth of cedarwood, and it ends with a sweet finishing touch.

s.Oliver Black Label is yet again a flower scent perfume. However; it has an undertone scent of fruits. It starts first with the nuts from an orange, mandarin and a peach. After that comes the scent of flowers roses, jasmine and lilacs. It ends with the aroma from vanilla and musk. It’s just perfect, the feeling of warmth and sweetness in one! I also like the bottle; it looks simple and yet chic.

Chloe Nomade is the perfume I bought for myself for my birthday. As I have written in my blogpost, it became a tradition to buy perfume for my birthday. The bottle reminds me of the water bottle cowboys take with them when they ride their horses through the desert. The scent has a subtle flower and fruits scent. But the smell is not girly at all. It feels more like a warm day and out of the blue you feel a cold breeze. You know the smell is there, but it will surprise you how the smell changes when you smell it during your day.

Last but definitely not least, is L’Interdit by Givenchy. I fell in love with in since visiting Glamour Beauty Festival. It is also my first ‘’grown up’’ perfume. It is the first one I bought with more a wooden undertone. This one also stays long that you don’t need to spray much. L’Interdit means forbidden in French, it was created in 1957 by Hubert de Givenchy. It was made for Audrey Hepburn; she wore it for a year before its release to the public. She became also the first actress who got to be the face of a perfume. Now such a thing is indispensable, gorgeous actresses representing a perfume everywhere!

COLLAB | BEAUTY REVIEW| Touch Beauty; Get Your Light Therapy Device With Code Saida For 20% Off!

You see them everywhere, those beauty devices that makes you very curious about them. Well, at least I am. I caught myself looking at them when I see their advertisements randomly on my social media timeline. It’s like my FBI-agent behind my laptop camera, is trying to say something to me. Not that I’m afraid to get a wrinkle, but who doesn’t want to age beautifully. Google Meryl Streep and you will know what I mean.

I was happily surprised when TOUCHBeauty approached me to review their Anti-Wrinkle RF & Microcurrent & Light Therapy Device. A mouth full, but it caught my curiosity. First, I looked online to inform myself what kind of brand TOUCHBeauty is. The international brand is established in 1999 in the UK. Their main focus is on design, research & development, manufacturing, and sales of beauty & personal care devices. And wants in the future to provide valuable services of healthy beauty care solutions for everyone. This introduction made me think that it is amazing to see that a brand wants to give their customers the opportunity to use a beauty device privately and with comfort from their own homes. No need to spend weekly or even monthly at beauty salons, while you can invest one time for a lifetime!

The device has 4 different skincare treatments. It includes RF, which means radio frequency. It heats my skin gently to increase the production of collagen and gives my complexion a youthful look. Secondly it has microcurrent. It stimulates my muscles to improve my facial contours and reduces my fine lines. The 630nm red light delivers wavelengths to improve my skin health and appearance. The infrared lights works together with the red light to penetrate deeply into my skin, for an effective treatment. Also, the RF and microcurrent has 6 adjustable intensity levels so I can adapt the treatments to my personal skin needs. Perfect for when I tried it for the first time. I wanted to get to know the device first. So, I tried different levels and treatments.

It came with a hydrating gel, exclusively for the TOUCHBeauty device. You apply a bit on the electrode pole and use it on your face. The gel has a scentless smell. I love this about the gel! I am very sensitive for cosmetics and beauty products that has a chemical scent. To me it doesn’t matter how good or how expensive a beauty product is, if it smells bad, I don’t use it. So, this is definitely a big plus for me. What I find thoughtful from TOUCHBeauty, is that they also added small safety goggles to protect your eyes from the red lights. The small dust bag and cleaning cloth comes in handy. Not only does the dust bag protects the device, it also gives that chic look. The device has also a convenient charging system and a direct USB charger which is perfect for when you travel.

Writing about the device makes me excited to use it again. I even showed it to my sister, and she was impressed too. I want to share this excitement with you. You can use code Saida for 20% off on the device. Happy shopping!

COLLAB| BEAUTY | My Skincare Routine With Pixi Beauty.

As I’m getting older, I’m getting more and more aware of what my skin needs. I have an oily skin which equals open pores and breakouts. Dr. pimple popper would be happy with my face. From all the skincare products I used, I found out that my skin gets less breakouts if I use a moisturizer that doesn’t have a thick substance. The one from Pixi Beauty is truly my holy grail!

At this moment I’m using their Vitamin-C range and I love it! When I use their Vitamin-C beauty cleanser, I literally smell the soft citrus melting in my skin. Which I understand because it’s made of orange, grapefruit and lemon oils as well as hydrating olive oil. The benefits of the ingredients are definitely amazing. You can find olive oil in every Moroccan woman skincare routine. It is passed on from our great grandmothers to our grandmothers to our mothers to us. It probably will be passed on to our daughters.

Pixi Beauty is well known for their amazing tonics. The Vitamin-C tonic helps to create my skin smooth and glowy. Who doesn’t want that natural glow? It preps my skin perfectly for the rest of the Vitamin-C range products. I always thought never use an oily serum when you have an oily skin! I thought wrong because afterwards I feel that my skin is fresh and soft.

As I said at the beginning, a moisturizer that I use on daily bases needs to have a soft watery substance. If I use a thick one, I get out of the blue a pimple invasion. Those intruders aren’t welcome! I finished the Pixi Beauty Vitamin-C lotion and use their bestseller moisturizer. Both are ideal for my skin. The last step of my skincare routine is using the Vitamin-C caviar balm. It’s a leave-on mask that hydrates my skin while it boots my natural glow and collagen production. Perfect for youth-preserving. Advice coming from a club 30 member: the sooner you start with it, the better.

Disclaimer: I received the products as a Pixi Beauty Ambassador. Before I wrote this blogpost, I’ve been using the products for weeks.

Event Report | Glamour NL Beauty Festival 2019.

It has been a while since I have been to the festival, but I’m still excited about it! It seems I have a every year turn back to this event policy. I liked it in 2018, 2019 and definitely got it this year on my planning.

The festival was powered by Zalando Beauty, which means a lot of new introductions of brands and their latest collections. Also, there were brands that was familiar to me and they showed their newest goodies. If you know me, I fall easily in love only by looking at their brand appearances. Yes, judging a book by its cover!  You can imagine I felt in my element. The venue was like last year at the Tropen Museum in Amsterdam and ladies: yellow and red marble with golden details everywhere! Perfect for shooting your pictures for Instagram. My influencer thoughts are speaking now, feel free to judge. Sorry not sorry!

There were stands of different brands showing their new collections and shared their latest news. You could experience the new product by looking, touching and by using their testers. There was also the possibility to buy products with a discount. Perfect for when you want to try something new! I also took a moment with my sister to pierce our ears. The stand was there, and my sister pushed me over the edge, I don’t regret it at all! I always wanted a second hole right next to my hole in my earlobe. I had that one since I was a kid and on my 30th I had the nerve to pierce a second hole.

You also could attend workshops about how to apply eye makeup, foundation and many more. There were masterclasses from Dutch influencers about how they use Instagram. I found my way already, but it was interesting to listen. I was impressed by the masterclass from power ladies who are leading ladies at their businesses. It was definitely a festival for beauty and brains!

During breaks you could buy healthy snacks and drinks. Or you could go and have fun at the beauty products grabbing machine and other fair like games. I got a makeup touch up by a makeup artist from NARS. The most important thing I did is having fun with my sister and a dear friend!

Beauty | My Top 3 High-End Make-Up Brands.

As a beauty fanatic I get butterflies in my stomach when I see beautiful makeup. I’m definitely a fan of attractive cases and packages. It’s like judging a book by its cover, with emphasis on judging. It’s like a kid in a candy store, like using lipstick as a little girl from your mother who said not too use it.

Let’s start with my number one, Chanel. From all the brands I used is Chanel definitely worth the prize. Everything is just perfect: the package, the quality, the structure and its non-chemical smell. The pigment has a good pigment and stays perfect during my day. Even when I don’t use it for a while, it ‘’doesn’t get old’’ like drying up. I also love the classic look. Black with a touch of gold and the white logo. So simple, yet so sophisticated.

The second brand on my list, Estee Lauder. I love the lipsticks of this brand. The pigment is perfect and goes smoothly over my lips. It’s also long lasting; I only do a touch up during my day. To see if I don’t have it on my teeth. Imagine smiling to your office crush with lipstick stains on your teeth, such horror! What I also like from this brand, is their beauty products. The Night Repair makes my skin soft and moisturize my skin perfectly. The Day Wear moisturizer gives a tint when you apply it. It’s like it melts into the shade of your own skin color when you use it. Quite impressive! I use it for a touch up or when I see dry places on my face to blend it in with the rest of my makeup.

Last but definitely not the least, Dior. J’adore Dior! To me this brand comes close to Chanel. Together with Chanel I call these brands the ‘’grownups brand.’’ The older I get, the more I treat myself with high-end quality products. Not that there is something wrong with drugstore brands, I’m an addict for those too! I mean it more as treating myself in a selfcare way. I’m obsessed with their perfumes; Dior Poison is my favorite. It has an oriental floral scent that makes you feel you’re wandering in Tokyo in a blossom forest. Like a fairytale! As you can see Loves, my color is pink red. I feel it comes close to my natural lip color. Even though I love makeup, I keep my daily makeup routine simple. When I do feel like let’s step it up a bit, I add eyeshadow and an eyeliner, a highlighter and instead of a BB cream I use a foundation. Writing about eyeshadow; a Dior eyeshadow palette is on my wish list. I know, I can’t help myself! Hihi…

What is your favorite high-end brand?

Beauty | My Favorite Nail Polish Colors This Season.

New season equals new colors! I love how the earth changes its color pallet during the seasons. It looks like that the world changes its ‘’home interior’’ to make you feel new and refreshing at home. This refreshing feeling, I also feel with changing my wardrobe from summer clothes to autumn and winter friendly clothes. The color changes from light to dark and vice versa. Same goes for my nail polishes. I tend to paint my nails in pastel or light colors during summer and during fall or winter, I tend to paint them with warm tones. Preferably in red pinkish shades.

On this picture I painted my nails in a dark orange/reddish shade. I love this color, because it reminds me of the color of leaves when they change during autumn. I got this one for quite a while and it is still perfect for use. The polish goes smoothly over my nails, perfect for a budget goodie!

As I mentioned before, I prefer red pinkish shades, like my lipsticks. The two reddish shades are my favorite red color for nail polish. One looks to me as warm sweet red, not too red not too pink. Right in the middle! Of course, there should be a classic red shade in my collection. It is like having a black blazer hanging in your closet. Or the perfect jeans that suits perfectly around your booty! Just unmissable.

If I want to change my red pinkish routine, I mostly use brown shades. It looks amazing on my small hands. To exaggerate for my sake, I paint my nails in a different color like the grey shade on the picture. Purely to get out of my comfort zone! Next day I mostly go back to red pinkish shades. What can I do…It’s a habit!

What are your favorite colors during the seasons?

Beauty | My 3 Go To Hairstyles.

Who doesn’t love getting things done at the first try? Like, throwing a piece of paper in the garbage can as a basketball player and it goes in and you say to yourself goal. What does this have to do with hairstyles? Well, Loves: everything! Ever tried to make the perfect messy bun, low ponytail and low braid at the first try? Simple hairstyles to go and simplicity is my life motto without a doubt!

My favorite hairstyle after wearing it loose is a messy bun. And I confess: it does not always look pretty at my first try. When it does, it definitely feels like I threw that piece of paper in the garbage can the first try. Goal! I like how it suits my oval face and when I left a pluck of hair over my ears. Having long hair helps a lot with this hairstyle, but also when I didn’t wash it for two days. It gives it more volume, at least with me.

With my oval face I can do a lot of hairstyles. Separation on the side of my head and putting my hair in a low side ponytail, is one of them. I love how easy this hairstyle is! I twist my ponytail in my hand like one big curl. It gives that extra flair and volume to the ponytail. What I like about this hairstyle, is that it looks at the front like I have a short pixie cut and then I turn around, hello ponytail!

What are your favorite hairstyles to go?

Beauty Look | Green Smokey Eyes.

Hello, Loves. I’m here again. You have no idea how excited I am at the moment! This moment of writing a new blogpost after weeks. My summer break started and that equals more blog time. I still have to finish some college work, but It’s not that I can’t handle it together with my blog. Thank God!

I did a makeup look that was in my mind for quite a while. I was in search for a specific shade of green. The B.A.E. Gemstone Eyeshadow palette from Hema, a Dutch store, caught my eye. It has such beautiful warm tone shades. The pigment is for a budget brand good but, not perfect. I felt like I need to be a bit rough to blend it. The next budget brand I used is from Max & More and it works perfect. I love when an eyeliner pen has a pre-formed eyeliner point. When I apply it, it goes smoothly over my eyelid without smudges! Under my eyebrows I used Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette Pink Sands Edition, in shade Santorini. On my inner corners of my eyes, I used the shade Azores. This Huda palette is so perfect; the shades, the pigment, the formula, everything! For my eyelashes I used budget winner Essence Cosmetics Lash Princess mascara. Such a winner and I don’t intent to change it any time soon. Why change a winning team.

For my face I used Bobbi Brown BB Cream in shade Medium. It has a SPF of 35 in it and I love this so much! It protects my face from the sun, it has the perfect coverage and that just for a BB Cream. On my cheeks I used Essence Cosmetics Sun Kissed Bronzer. This blush is definitely my all-time favorite. The bronzer has the right shade for a sun kissed touch. It also gives that glowy look you get during summer. Suits perfect with the Huda highlighter in shade Azores that I used on my cheekbones. Perfect match!

I kept my lips subtle. I used Dior Addict lipgloss in shade #653 Sequins. It comes so close to my natural lip color. It also suits perfectly with all that glow of Huda and the bronzer.

Do you like it Loves?

Beauty | My Currently Favorite Makeup Products.

I just love when I buy makeup products that I truly use and not letting collecting dust on my shelves or vanity. I have been looking through my makeup collection and I noticed that I either use one brand the whole time. I even buy a new one if I almost finish it, while I have the same product just in another brand laying right next to it! It is quite a waste of money and we all have to know that some makeup products won’t last forever. When the expiration date is over, we need to accept it’s over! I know, it can be hard. We all have been to that point in our lives and I’m not only talking about makeup, if you know what I mean *kuch…kuch…that denim jeans we fitted before those extra pounds…kuch*, so time to step back, reflect and make better choices!

So, instead of running to Douglas to buy goodies that I already have, I went shopping into my own makeup collection. Since I saw the best Essence Cosmetics mascara budget mascara on Reddit, I’m hooked too! It does what it says, you feel like princess with your long eyelashes. I had my Bobbi Brown BB Cream in shade medium for a long time hiding in my makeup drawers. I did not think about it, until I caught myself buying the same BB Cream I use for ages. Time for a change! I’m so liking the Bobbi Brown BB Cream, it has such a good coverage for a BB Cream. I don’t even have to use a concealer to blemish my impurities. How great is that!

Dior, one of my favorite high-end brands. The quality is so good that you don’t need to use a lot for a perfect look. The lip balm moisturizes my lips very well and it leaves a sweet pinkish glow behind. Just Perfect! If I could let you smell Miss Dior perfume, I would Loves. It has a sweet yet wooden smell. A feminine scent with the good of two worlds, sweet and strong!

Makeup brushes, also a thing that I buy when I see one. It’s crazy how many I have. The only good thing about it, is having it back hand when I need to wash my brushes. Even though I have a lot they work very well. The ones from Primark is such a budget goodie! So why change a winning team, right Loves?

I have been looking for ages for the right peachy blush. It was quite a journey, I wanted the right shade. Whenever I thought I had it, I end up with a too orange pigment! Looking like an Oom-pah Loompa is not my intention to be. Glad I found it with the Coral Spectrum blush palette from Zoeva. It has a good pigment, a soft formula and not a chemical smell. The right things I need in makeup. Also, such a holy grail: Huda Beauty 3D highlight palette. I have the Pink Sands shades, the glow it gives is just amazing! To finish it off Loves, MAC Prep + Prime in Rose scented fix pray is such a good product that does what it needs to do: securing makeup all day long!

It was nice sharing with you my currently favs Loves, I’m curious about yours!

COLLAB |Beauty| Going Natural With Ziaja – Currently In My Shower!

Loves, I told you in my blogpost about my facial care products that I since I’m getting older, think more about which products I use. It is not like all of a sudden, I go vegan or ecofriendly. However, I do want to explore my options and maybe in the future I go all the way in. They say the older, the wiser, right!

Let me introduce you to mine currently in the shower goodies. I want to start off with the Argan & Tsubaki Oils hair products line from Ziaja. I know the brand for a while now and I love their products! Loves, this is a genuine collaboration as was the first one. Their products are based on natural products which equals to no skin irritations. Unless you are allergic to something, let me put this disclaimer right here! So, back to Argan & Tsubaki oils, sounds exotic right! Argan oil is the liquid gold from Morocco. Tsubaki oil is made from Japanese Camelia and Rise oil. The scent smells so good! Love it! I wish I could make you smell it trough your phones, tablets and desktops! The shampoo cleans not only my hair but my scalp too. It makes my hair feel soft and pliant and it restores my volume. On top of that, it contains no silicone and parabens. The hair mask of the line takes care of the hair without weighing it down. I felt it when I used it for the first time. The hair conditioner smoothing spray can be used on wet hair and dry hair. I like this because I apply it on the ends of my hair for that extra shine!

During showering I use Sukin foaming facial cleanser. It contains no chemicals at all! Their ‘’no list’’ contains no artificial colors, sulphates, parabens, silicones and many more. Without rinsing my face, I use an apricot scrub creme from Dutch drugstore Kruidvat. The apricot pits are grinded and mild to use for exfoliating dead skin cells. Sometimes I use a round facial brush with it, but not all the time. I love this scrub crème, it makes my skin feels soft and not tight, if you know what I mean Loves.

For my body I use Rituals Ritual Of Sakura. I love the smell of cherry blossom, it reminds me of spring and the trees look so beautiful! I like the luxury of their products, they look so chic! You really feel like you’re in a luxurious spa resort. It is also great to hear that they are trying to make their journey to greener practices. It makes me feel a little less guilty!

What kind of products are you currently using in your shower Loves?

Beauty |Skin Care Products I Use Daily.

As I’m getting older, am I thinking more about the products that I use. When it comes to my facial care, I think about it even more than about other products like for my body. The first thing that I look at when it comes to buying facial care products is, does it suit my oily-dry combined skin? I have the well-known oily t-zone and dry upper jawline dryness problem. It was difficult for me to find the perfect one. One that doesn’t have a greasy formula and does not leave greasiness behind.

I have learned at the skin care masterclass at Glamour Magazine NL Beauty Festival, that the smell doesn’t say anything about the product. Whether it smells like roses or like chemicals, it is literally the inside that counts. I immediately understood why I like the drugstore cream from the Dutch brand Kruidvat Originals. It is made of tea tree, it works for my skin very purifying. At first, I couldn’t stand the smell, but now I can’t live without it!

I am truly amazed by the Cellular Beauty line from Lidl. I mean, who doesn’t want to try a dupe from La Prairie? Again, I like the formula of this serum. It’s not greasy and it absorbs quickly into my skin. During my day I feel that my skin is well moisturized, it feels soft too! On top of that, it has a lightly citrus scent. Perfect! I use this one when I feel that I need a break from the other one. I thought my facial skin wouldn’t handle the switch, once in a while. I thought wrong!

Break outs, who doesn’t know those annoying intruders. As fast they come, as fast I want them to leave! Clearasil Rapid Action Pads is my saviour! I apply the pads on the break out and rub it out. I feel that it stings and in a couple of minutes I feel that the pimple shrinks, the next day or two it’s gone. Sleeping with no makeup helps to prevent break outs and I always use a towel only for my face. This can be a small one, perfect to store in my room vanity.

I have heard a lot about the products from Paula’s Choice. I got curious and I was happy to see one in the goodie bag of the Glamour Beauty Festival. I like that it has a 50 SPF. Products who has a SPF of 30 or more, are good for preventing signs of ageing. It also defends skin against sun damage. What more do I need?

Once in week I try to use my Swiss Clinic Derma Roller. I love how it goes through my skin, it makes my pores open and it boosts my collagen production. My skin turns a bit red however, it glows afterwards. I love this roller! I feel that it ‘wakes’ my skin up after all those dirty substances from outside.

What are your favourite facial care products? Share with me your secrets for a that beautiful glow!

Event Report | Glamour Beauty Festival.

Last Sunday I went with my sister to the Glamour Magazine NL Beauty Festival. It was so amazing! My sister and me had a wonderful time, not only we spend quality time together but wandered trough a beauty heaven! They also chose the perfect location for it, marble and wooden, gold details everywhere. If you know me, you’ll know that I’m marble obsessed! So, imagine my feeling when I put my first step into the location. The fun part of it is, that I knew the location due to my studies. I paid more attention to the architecture than to the lecture, oops! Just by looking at the pictures I took, you would agree with me.

During the festival you could do many things like paint your nails, get a massage, do your hair and makeup! There were also many workshops, from skincare to food to men talk and brands stalls to inform you about their latest products. My sister and me did a lot, we almost forgot the time for the skincare masterclass. Oh, I’m forgetting fries! With pink mayonnaise! Seriously, pink!

There was a moneybox, where you go inside and have to catch a pink ticket while wind blows in the box. If you catch it, you’ll get a surprise gift. I felt like Charlie in the chocolate factory, my inner child woke up and I went in. I didn’t win, but it was fun to be in it!

My sister and I wandered through the stalls and informed ourselves about their products. I was curious about Moroccan oil, Cluse and Zadig & Voltaire. While I was at it, I got a touch up at the Givenchy stall. The makeup artist did so lovely that I took a selfie!

As I said, I attended a skincare masterclass. The speaker talked about all the ins and outs of skincare and it was good to hear the information. She talked about acne, preventing breakouts, natural products, chemical products and how important it is to use a day creme with SPF. She also answered a lot of questions and said that it is not scientifically proven that you get spots from eating chocolate. Good news right!

The main act was *drum rolls* Nikkie Tutorials with a live Q&A! She and her tutorials are pleasuring to look at. She gave honest answers and was down to earth. We also had a great laugh because during the Q&A she made jokes and references in which you will recognize yourself. Of course, she came all glammed up and it was so lovely. By the way, the rumours are true, she is tall!

It was such a fun day, I hope I can share my experience trough the pictures I took!

Beauty | Luxurious Lips.

When it comes to beauty products, I can get so excited just by looking at them! Most of the packages and casings have a luxurious appearance that I feel like a kid in a candy store. So much to choose from!

As you can see Loves, I prefer pink-red shades of lipsticks or glosses, because I believe that they match my skin tone. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it gives me a radiant look. They also come close to my natural lip colour especially the lip glosses. Perfect for a daily look!

I added new MAC Lipsticks into my MAC collection. It’s getting bigger and colourful! I even added a brown/wine red shaded one, a colour I normally won’t choose. I’m wearing on this picture MAC Liptensity lipstick in shade Eros. The pigment is so pigmented that I only used a bit, I put my lips together and it was all over my lips. I applied it then on the corners of my lips for a whole look.

Matt lipsticks does not have my preference, I prefer glossy ones. The ones that you can put easily on and remove quickly. I found that perfect one with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in shade #340 Envious. It goes so smoothly over my lips and it has the perfect red shade! I get a girly vibe when I apply Chanel Rouge Coco in shade #448 Elise. I have written a blogpost about it and I’m still in love with it. I mean, just looking at the Chanel logo makes me excited. Writing about being excited, I also had that feeling when I bought my first Yves Saint Laurent lipstick. I have chosen a sweet pink shade number 43. This sweet pink comes so close to my own lip colour that I don’t need to apply much.

Lip glosses are my ‘’on the road hero’s’’. Perfect for those days when you are in a rush and don’t have time to apply your makeup. Having one in my bag comes so handy! I apply it on my lips to distract it from my tired eyes. Or on my cheekbones for that quick glowy look.

Christian Dior is also a brand I fell in love it. They have such beautiful makeup that I couldn’t chose which beauty product I want. So, when I decided to buy a lipstick, I chose Rouge Dior Baume #568 in shade Rose Rose. It even smells like roses!

What is your perfect shade Loves?

Beauty | Oil My Hair Softly.

I have been on vacay to Morocco and I wouldn’t be from Moroccan origin if I don’t bring back oils. They can be used for anything, face, body and hair. Every Moroccan beauty queen swears by argan oil, the Moroccan liquid gold. Black seed oil for getting strong hair, rose oil for moisturizing your face and applying a drop on your hair for that sweet rose scented smell. Two birds in one stone!

As long as I can remember, oil belongs into my haircare routine. After I shower and let my hair dry for a bit, the first thing I do is use argan oil or blackseed oil on my hair. I have written a blogpost about argan oil and its benefits. I still swear by it because it is a truly holy grail when it comes to my hair.  Argan oil is proven to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. It is the ideal hair conditioner, and it can even help to treat split ends and tame frizzy hair. Due to its ability to tame frizz and give hair shine, argan oil is also commonly used as a styling agent. It makes hair more manageable and adds a healthy, attractive shine to any hair style. This is an ideal step to add to my daily routine after blow-drying or shower. I rub a few drops of argan oil over my palms and then comb my fingers through my hair.

Black seed oil is such a powerful oil, it truly does its wonders. It’s well known for its purifying benefits to clear acne prone skin. It nourishes the skin and within weeks your skin gets clearer! It smells like wet wood in a forest, at first its heavy and then its only leaving his nature vibe. A drop is more than enough, add it with your favourite conditioner for a quick hair mask boost or in your favourite facial creme for that natural healthy glow.

I use rose oil after I style my hair to get it shinier. It also gives my hair that perfect rose scented smell, like perfume. You also can use it as a bath oil to nourish you skin. It’s makes your body feel so soft! I sometimes use it on my hands and feet’s when I go to bed. It makes my skin softer and my cuticles are because of it, easier to manicure.

I cannot live without my oils! It’s truly rooted in my hair and facial routine. I remember when I was a child, that during my holiday in Morocco my aunts and niece comb my hair and use argan oil for my hair. Back home in the Netherlands my lovely mother would do the same. As a grown up I continue to do so and even pass it on my daughter!

Beauty Look | Full Cover #MOTD

I’m back Loves, I missed blogging so much. On my Instagram I told you the reason why and I’m happy to see you wished me a welcome back. I appreciated it a lot! I’m going to focus on my blog because during my ‘’sabbatical’’ I have been inspired to work on upcoming blogposts. First blogpost that popped in my mind is a beauty look. I haven’t done one for a while, it felt good to play with makeup for a full cover look. Especially when I kept my makeup simple during my college days.

Let’s get right into it Loves. After I rinsed my face with lukewarm water I applied Farsáli Rose Gold Elixir 24K infused beauty oil. Such a mouth full, but it works heavenly! It has a sweet peachy smell and it moistures very well. Then I used Essence Anti Redness Colour Correcting liquid concealer. I used it to blemish my impurities, it’s a truly holy grail because it neutralizes redness. The foundation that I used after the green concealer is, KIKO Milano in shade Cool Rose #20. For a sun kissed glow I used Lancaster Infinite Bronzer in #001. Not only it has a 15 SPF, it feels like luxury on my skin. Also, a plus: the smell. I also contoured my face like I did here. Since I’m having the hang of it, I enjoy when I do a good contour. I used Primark PS Contour Shade Crayon paired with Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting concealer to highlight the parts I wanted highlighted. On my cheeks I used Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in shade Medium 2. I used a little bit just to add more volume to the sun kissed glow. On my cheekbones I used KIKO Milano Glow Fusion powder highlighter in #02. Also, a little bit because I don’t want to dominate the glow. I also used ICONIC London Illuminator in shade Original to have that warm glow you always get when you visited the beach.

For my moving eyelids I used first L’Oréal Paris eyeshadow in shade Pop #410. From the middle to the outside ends, I used L’Oréal Paris eyeshadow in shade Smoky #306. I also used it on the inner corners of my eyes for an open look. On top of my eyelids and under my eyebrows I used H&M eyeshadow in shade All White Already to finish the open look. For eyeliner wings I used MAC Modern Twist Kajal liner in shade Cat’s Meow. For my eyelashes I used Primark PS Amplif-Eyed mascara. I love the brush of this mascara, it’s covers all my small lashes perfectly. To tame my eyebrows, I used Tweezerman Transparent Brow Mousse.

Now comes the cherry on top of the pie. I used on my lips Christian Dior Rouge in shade Rose Rose #568. I love this shade because it comes close to my natural lip colour.

Tell me your thoughts about this look Loves. Happy to read them, I missed it a lot!

Beauty Review | Sparkles In A Tube.

Highlighters in a tube are to me a great beauty invention! When I’m in a hurry I just grab one and put it in my bag without getting worried it gets broken or it opens in my bag and make a mess. Since it’s fluid I only use the tips of my fingers to apply it on my cheekbones, no brush needed. On top of that they are such eye candies! As you all know me Loves, I’m rose gold and simplicity obsessed.

The first thing I did is smell the product. I definitely buy with my nose and if makeup smells chemical I don’t buy it, no matter which brand it is. With these highlighter creams I am not worried about it. The first tube I swatched is called Pearl. I like this light-yellow highlighter a lot. When you apply it on your cheekbones and blend it with your fingertips you get an instant glow, it’s good pigmented. It even looks like that natural glow! Which is perfect for daily use.

The second highlighter cream is called Oyster Pink. I like this tube because it gives that shy glowy look, it suits perfect with my beauty look Sweetheart. This shade is also perfect for under your eyebrow to create an open look. On top of that, the tube has a perfect size, you can keep it in your bag for those quick touch up days.

Honestly Loves, I am impressed by these highlighter creams from Primark. Both are well pigmented and easy to use.

Beauty Look | So Glamorous.

Loves, I did a new makeup look. It has been a while since I posted my everyday look. This time I chose to do a simple glamorous look, perfect for the upcoming holidays. This look is for all the ladies who prefer spending more time with their loved ones than in front of a mirror.

First, I started with my all-time favourite concealer from Essence. This long-lasting concealer is truly my holy grail when it comes to blemish my impurities. The shade #10 Natural Beige suits my skin tone perfectly! After applying the concealer, I used the next budget topper, BB cream from Alvira. What I like is that it matts without me using a compact powder. For someone with an oily skin like me is this great for an BB cream. It also has an SPF 15 factor, it is moisturizing and gives a healthy-looking look. A slightly dislike is that it doesn’t give a full cover. It doesn’t bother me, because I only use a BB cream to tone down redness and eye fatigue.

The next thing I did is my eyes. I used the middle colour from Makeup Revolution baked eyeshadow palette in the name Pure & Innocent. This colour comes close to my own skin tone. It looks like a natural glow when I applied it and look back at the pictures. I also applied it under my eyebrows. On my brows I used Chella Transparent Defining gel just to restrain it. The eyeliner pen that I used is from Starlooks Pro. This luxe long wear eyeliner has a burgundy shade. I like it, it is a good different than black! On the part where my tear duct is I used PS… Primark Strobe Highlighter in the shade Sand. I used this highlighter instead of my cheekbone on my eyes for an open look. On my eyelashes I used Ace of Face Eyerule #3 Volumizing Curling Mascara +. It has a high-volumash formula. It does curl my eyelashes perfectly. I like the hairbrush that it has. The hairs are small, I don’t make a mess because of it.

Here comes my cheeks part. First I used PS… Primark Blusher in shade Amaretto. I normally use a peach coloured blush. But this coffee brown shade I fell in love with! The pigment is great, it gives a soft look. On my cheekbones I used BeeBee Highlighter powder for a subtle and glamorous look.

On my lips I used MAC cosmetics lustre lipstick in the shade Lady Bug. It has a red-orange tone that I like. I am lately in love with my MAC lipsticks, I use them more than ever! I also think that this colour is perfect for Loves who find red lipstick a bit too much.

What do you think about this look and are you excited for the holidays? I certainly am!

New In | Balmain X L’Oréal.

I was so in love with the Balmain X H&M collaboration that this match made in heaven with L’Oréal got me shook! I even pre-ordered it. When I got it, I was so curious about it that I opened it immediately! But, my first impression about it was: it looks good. Yes, just good. Even though from the outside it looks chic and edgy, just like all things from Balmain and I truly like that vibe. I suddenly felt a ‘’oh’’ feeling. The lipstick package felt fragile like, if I dropped it on the floor it would break. It even came with a small damage onto the cap so my hyped feeling slightly changed. But I learned don’t judge a book by its cover

When I opened it the first thing that you will notice is the smell. I loved it! As I told in my first impressions blogpost, I buy when it comes to makeup with my nose. Since I bought the lipstick online was the smell a pleasant surprise! The smell reminds me of autumn, a wood scent with a twist of a scent from lilies. It even sounds like a fairy-tale.

The lipstick comes with different shades and I couldn’t choose. The shades are so daring and so fierce! The opposite of me. I watched Balmain’s promo videos about it online, more than once and I still couldn’t decide. At one moment, I thought let me choose a shade that I wouldn’t chose easily. So, I chose Confession. It comes almost close to a nude shade and as you know me Loves, have I a love and hate relationship with nude colours. I am glad to find out, when I swatched it on my wrist that the shade has a peachy colour as a sub tone.

When I applied on my lips, the creamy lipstick went smoothly over them. The lipstick gives a matt effect which makes it long-lasting. I am happy to say that the lipstick has a place between my MAC Collection and high end favourite Chanel lippie!

Which shade from the collection would you chose Loves?

Beauty Review | Chanel #488 Elise.

After my MAC Cosmetics lipstick collection, I got the hang of buying high-end makeup that I caught my eyes on Chanel. Chanel is after Elie Saab my favourite brand. Chanel stands for me, as chic and timeless beauty. I chose for Rouge Coco lippie in shade #448 Elise. I don’t know about you loves, but I automatically speak with a fake France accent when I pronounce Elise. Since it’s an attack on my wallet, can we enjoy it with our noses up? I don’t judge!

The outside package looks like typical Chanel. Black with golden lettered details. I always liked that colour combination. When you open it, you’ll get that tingling feeling that we all know. Like when you open presents during Christmas, or in my case, during Eid. The first thing you see is the usual white Chanel logo on top of the lipstick cap. You also can see the logo in the inside of the cap, which is black. The lipstick is surrounded with a golden sheath. I like how a simple looking thing can have a chic appearance.

I hope that I’m not the only one who says that I also buy with my nose. It is kind of habit to smell makeup before I buy it. Chanel past the odour test! The smell can be the best described as the scent of dried rose petals. The lippie has Chanel stamped on it, I like this detail. I was at first a bit sceptical about the colour. I have a love hate relationship when it comes to colour pink. I hate the colour Barbie pink and pale pink, but I like the shades between them. Does it make sense? Anyway, I like it turned out well! Definitely my favourite lippie at the moment.

It went smoothly over my lips when I applied it. I felt instantly the hydration, it lived right up on my lips. Same goes when I swatched it on my wrist. The pigment is so great and long lasting! The shade also surprised me. It has a small amount of glitter, perfect for that last extra sparkle.

Beauty | My MAC Collection.

Today I’ll be showing you Loves my MAC collection: so far. I remember when I bought my first MAC. I felt like a kid in a candy store, I couldn’t choose! I wanted them all. I fell in love with the sweet pink highlight. It suits my skin tone very well, it gives me that healthy glow. The pigment is so good that you don’t need much. A strobe or two and you are good to go.

After the Soft & Gentle highlighter came my first MAC lipstick. I was wandering across the MAC counter and I saw so many lipstick colours! Yet again I couldn’t choose so I looked at the names. Many caught my eyes, but this one the most. Fresh Moroccan! Of course, I felt that cheesy connection as a Moroccan. It was also autumn when I bought it, the deep brown/red-ish colour is such an autumn colour. It reminded me visiting Morocco during winter. When I was walking around like a tourist in my own hometown. So, bohemian! This Frost lipstick has a bit of a matt finish. It also has a bit of shimmer, but when I applied it on my lips it gave that chic feminine touch instead of that ‘’glitter girl’’ vibe. I like it so much!

Since I had the hang of it, my choice of getting more MAC items was easy made. Oh, Darling golden highlighter was the third beauty I bought. It truly has that extra dimension skin finish! Yet again the pigment is so great, it gives me that golden glowy look. Like I’m in love! When you apply it on the right places of your face, it accentuates the strong parts of your face that you love. Perfect with a contour.

The third lipstick I bought was Lady Bug. Not only is it a cute name, this Lustre lipstick goes so smooth over my lips whenever I apply it. I also wanted a red shade colour, but not too red. Lady Bug is perfect. Since it was sale on the MAC Cosmetics at that moment, I also put Captive in my shopping cart. Shamelessly. I wanted a shade that I can use daily and I found it in this Satin lipstick.

What I like about MAC is that is has a good quality for the price you pay for it. I also like that even though the packages are simply black, it has a classic look. The forming of the lipsticks reminds me of bullets. Certainly, they are killer items!

Which brand is your favourite Loves?

Beauty Look | My Daily Look.

It has been a while since my latest beauty look for you Loves. I have been lately so caught up with my studies that I don’t find the time to work on the love of my life: my blog. Yes, you hear this every time when I don’t post for a while but believe me when I write, this is the only reason why. Thinking about it now, I probably dedicate a blogpost about my studies. This said Loves, let’s get right into my daily look!

As you know me: simplicity is a bliss. First, I start with my daily skincare routine then I apply H&M BB Cream Beauty Balm in colour Rose Porcelain. It is quite hard to find a blemish balm or even a foundation in my skin tone because sometimes I’m pale like Casper the friendly ghost than sometimes redness shows up like an intruder. Basically, hallelujah for makeup!

My daily look contains less work than when I go to a Moroccan wedding. So, after the BB Cream I start with my eyes by using Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel mascara that I received from Loreal to try it out. The brush is a truly holy grail for your under eyelashes! No more messiness. Because of the small brush my eyelashes separates very well while applying. However, you need many layers for a falsie look.

On the apples of my cheeks I used Essence Silky Touch Blush in #30 Secret It-Girl. I use this peachy shade for a healthy blush look. On my cheekbones, I used budget topper Fashion Professional Mosaic Blush in #02. I use this blush more as a highlighter because it is perfect shimmery pigmented.

I have a love/hate relationship when it comes to liquid matte lipsticks, but with DOSE of Colors in shade Truffle I have an obsession! As soon as you apply it, it turns quickly in the well know matte pigment. I usually don’t have the guts to use a brown or nude colour on my lips but this shade got me surprised. It even tastes like chocolate!

This is my daily look. Well, for now. Sometimes I change my blush or lipstick colour but other than that, this is my go too.

What do you think Loves?

Beauty | Winter Love.

img_5141

Winter comes almost to his end and I’m not complaining. The weather in the Netherlands is quite crazy, just a week ago, there was snow and now it is vanished like a ghost. Winter doesn’t do good to my body and skin. Sometimes I feel like a hamster with sandpaper hands and knees that prepares itself for hibernation. To make it easier for me I used these lovely goodies, they were such a great help during this winter!

img_5145

I want to start with my UGG Australia boots and gloves, you either hate or love this brand. To me they are the perfect fashion items to wear during the cold, so warm and cosy! During the cold I, really don’t care if I would look like an Eskimo, they look good to me! Whenever I use Ziaja Coconut Hand Cream they stay extra moisturized when I put my hands in the gloves. I really like the smell and texture of their creams. Since my collaboration with Ziaja I use their Manuka Tree Cream daily. It smooths my facial skin just perfect!

img_5146

My skin tens to dryness during winter. Especially on my elbows, knees, heels and ankles. It feels so annoying! I’m glad I found my holy grail with Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Oil. The shea butter and warm vanilla makes my skin moisturized for a while, it nourishes perfectly right after a shower. What I love about this one is it is non-greasy and it feels light on my skin. Same goes for The Raspberry Kiss from Treacle Moon. I use it on places on my body that needs extra moisturizing. I love the cute little texts on the package and the smell. It smells like forest fruit ice cream, instant summer feeling!

Chap sticks! Oh my, can’t live without them. I have them everywhere! From two in my bag to three on my desk and on my nightstand. I always use them before I go to sleep or I must run for small errands. They are useful but then again I always get them lost. Who is familiar with this too Loves?

Since the sun only comes when it wants too, am I glad that we can get the sun in a ‘’package.’’ I apply it only on sun kissed places like my cheekbones, the sides of my forehead like a contour, the tip of my nose and chin. All for all, I’m glad that spring is right around the corner!

Beauty | Bad Impressions. #1

img_4322

I normally don’t get many bad impressions when it comes to buying new makeup. I mostly use the same products, when I need new ones I stick mostly with the products I am familiar with but I wouldn’t be a beauty addict if I didn’t try out other brands. That’s why I loved receiving the Style Tone Boxes. In the future I, will try other beauty boxes out!

Before I start Loves, I have a little disclaimer about the products that I don’t like. It doesn’t mean it is a bad brand, I can be in love with other products from the same brand I just got a product I didn’t like due to scent, pigment etc.

img_4324

Let me start first with Aveda Stress Fix Soaking Salts. I got it from a goodie bag at the Glamour Magazine Fashion – Vintage Live Event. At first I liked it. It has a lavender scent and lavender is well known as a stress relieving aroma. It got my attention, everybody has their own moments of stress and taking a tub can be indeed relieving but when I used it, I didn’t like the scent anymore! It turned into a lavender chemical ‘’smelly bomb’’ it hit me literally out of the blue and on top of it my skin stayed oily. When I rinsed it of the salts left oily residue behind. I like lavender but I don’t want the be a walking sticky lavender plant!

I love the beauty products from Max Factor, too bad I stumbled on a bad one. The package looks simple yet chic, I like the colour combination black and gold! When I first used it, the first thing I noticed is the scent. It was so harsh and too chemical! It smelled bad. Even so, I thought let me give it a try. It was too pink for my skin tone and the pigment made my facial skin look dry while it wasn’t.

img_4327

When I have breakouts, I want immediately them gone. To me the most effective way is to dry them out and after that moisturizing it. I thought I found with Garnier Pure Active my holy grail but no it wasn’t. The smell was too chemical. Not ideal if you smear it on your face. It doesn’t work at all and it made my facial skin not moisturized like it supposed to be.

I use my favourite concealer daily and I wanted to give it a rest and try another one out. I shouldn’t have done it! The concealer from H&M was too pale for my skin tone, even If I wanted to fix it by applying a sun kissed bronzer or compact powder it didn’t help. This was a typical ‘’stick with what you know moment.’’ Never again!

img_4330

I am not a frequent nail polish user but I was a bit hyped about the OPI nail polishes. Just a week later from when I purchased it I saw it dried out. Shaking it and pouring a bit of nail polish remover in it didn’t even work. I threw it away and it felt like I threw money into the garbage can…Literally!

I found in some budget products truly loveable products that they deserve more than the price you purchased it for and then some products I can understand why they are budget. The lipstick from Cien was just a bad colour, it didn’t suit me. In my opinion. Max&More has many good products but their lip glosses are bad. Not good pigmented at all and the scent smells like it is too old for usage. The brown bronzer was too dark for my skin tone. Whenever I used it to contour my face it stayed like dark spots, more like shadows on my face even though I blend the hell out of it! The anti-redness concealer was also to pale for my skin tone. The only thing good about it is it reduces indeed my redness but it changed me into a minty ghost. Too pale!

img_4331

I think that in the future I don’t purchase these products again but it doesn’t mean I’m not purchasing nothing from the brand at all. That is the beauty of cosmetics, every beauty brands have its wide range of beauty assortment and I as a beauty addict will always get my shot!

Beauty Review | Ziaja.

img_4929

As am I getting older I’m getting more and more idle. I think it is because you feel your body is changing, like it is upgrading towards adulthood. Your body, your mind and skin changes into a ‘’shape’’ that is called ‘’you’’’. You will get to know yourself better and you will anticipate to it. Whether you like it or not! It is just something that you cannot change because it is called life.

img_4930

During my life, my facial skin became important to me, I suffered from acne my whole teenage years and they still pop up every now and then. We all are familiar with those annoying intruders on our faces that are caused by stress, diet and even cosmetic products. Because of this, am I always pleased to get to know new brands. Especially when you discover them spontaneously. I met Ziaja through my latest unboxing blogpost and I fell in love with it ever since.

The beauty of Ziaja is that it is based on natural active ingredients and their pharmaceutical experiences, it has a refined and pleasant fragrance and light texture. All their products are carefully dermatologically and allergy tested in their own labs, never on animals! I have been using it for a while now and I am very pleased with it. The moment I opened it for the first time, the smell was such a pleasure to smell! Not chemical at all. The preservatives are reduced to the essential minimum making it enjoyable to use.

The assortment of Ziaja is tremendous; from woman to men to children. Something for everyone! Their focus is on skin, so you will find a range of facial care, body care and even hair care. Because Ziaja has a wide range of beauty products they have thought of all skin types and this shows that they are thoughtful towards their customers.

img_4932

Lately wat also has been important to me is where I get my beauty products from and if it truly works. I enjoy it every time when I use it. Whenever I’m done with showering I use Moisturising Body Lotion with Silk Proteins. It absorbs quickly and my skin feels soft right away! Because it is moisturising and it reduces skin roughness I use it also on my elbows and knees for that extra soft touch. During my day, I use the Manuka Tree Purifying Normalising Day Cream. It has an SPF 10 factor and it is for an oily/combination skin type which matches perfectly with my own skin type. My facial skin goes from oily, especially on my T-Zone (forehead, nose, chin and the apples of my cheeks.) to dry at my jaw line. The smell of the Manuka Tree is refreshing on my skin and what I mostly love it doesn’t make my face oily at all!

When I want to pamper myself after a long day I remove my makeup with the Cucumber Cleansing Milk, yet again for an oily/combination skin type. The smell of cucumber makes me feel like I’m in a spa resort relaxing with a towel on my head and two slices of cucumber on my eyes. Perfect!

Are you already imagining it Loves?

Beauty Look | Look Book Of 2016.

fotorcreated

I must say; 2016 was a beauty year. I loved experimenting with makeup for beauty looks. Contouring and highlighting was my main goal to get the hang of it and to me, it turned out pretty lovely!

fotorcreated5

I focused also on my eyes. I wanted to get more confident in making smokey eyes, because of my small eyes. I don’t want to look like a panda. Till this day, I am saluting all makeup lovers who uses their whole eyes, from under the eyebrow until the whole moving eyelid as their perfect canvas! Because if I do it, I will look like a clown. I just don’t like the whole eye look on me. On my moving eyelid, I will use any colour but on top of it I limit it only to light colours. I guess you could say that I’m a bit insecure about it, but then again; for everything is a first!

fotorcreated

When it comes to lips I use mostly red to fuchsia to pink shades. Those are my favourites lip colours, I don’t like nude’s colours or Barbie pink.  I have carefully tried to use dark colours such as dark red and I was surprised! I never thought it will suit me.

As I look at my makeup stash I see that I use products that are low budget to high end. From all the variety, I have I stick always with one or two budget toppers from Essence Cosmetics. Their orange packaged mascara and concealer are truly my beauty budget must-haves!

fotorcreated2

fotorcreated3

I think that for my upcoming beauty looks I will be more openminded towards making new looks then before however I don’t want to follow trends that are just a waste of good beauty products. Like, #100 layers’ foundations? Or silicone bra makeup sponge? No thank you!

I have a new look for you Loves! Its been a while since I did one, when I finally had the moment to do it I was instantly in a beauty mood! I hope I can give you this feeling too so you can try this look out or one of my many other looks that I have done. Let’s start!

img_4870

I used my daily favourite Essence Stay All Day 16 Long Lasting Concealer in shade #10 Natural Beige to blemish my impurities. When I let it for a minute I used MaxFactor Xperience Foundation in shade Beige Linen #50 with SPF 10 to set a base for my look. Yet again I let it for a minute and then used Essence Stay All Day Translucent Fixing Powder for a matt and natural finish. I let it bake for a minute and started with a simple contour that I mostly do. For this contour, I used the budget beauty contour stick from Max&More. Not to look like Casper the friendly ghost I used Essence Mosaic Compact Powder in shade #01 Sun Kissed Beauty. It gave my look indeed a sun kiss!

img_4882

img_4888

For my eyes, I used L’Oréal Paris Colour Pop in the shade #410 Punky Turquoise. I just love the colour blue! I started from the middle of my moving eyelid until the end of my eyebrows. I used a darker shade of sparkly blue from Boulevard De Beauté palette for the rest of my eyes and to blend it in I used the white sparkly shade to tone the blue down. For the perfect eyeliner wing I used Max&More Gel Eyeliner in the shade Pure Black. For my lashes, I used Ace of Face Eyerule Volumizing Curling Mascara #3 that I received with my first Style Tone Box. On the side where my tear drops come out I used Douglas Jumbo Pen for an open look.

img_4890

img_4896

On my cheeks, I used Essence Silky Touch Blush in shade #30 Secret It-Girl. I really love how it turned out together with the use of the compact powder, using the right colours can truly do so much! For that extra glowy glow I pulled out my MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skin Finish for indeed that perfect finish!

img_4894

Last but not leas, my lips. I’m very pleased about the new KIKO Milano 3D Hydra Lip glosses! I have it in the #3 this peachy colour is just right for daily use.

Beauty Review | Cheeky Highlights!

img_4437

Since I’m having the hang of it, from contouring and highlighting I’m getting more confident in it and that includes buying makeup. I notice that when I’m going to shop or go for some errands I always end up in a makeup aisle to look for that eye-catching item that I honestly don’t need. We all have been there right!

img_4439

I had that moment when I was looking for a highlighter that is budget and good pigmented to use daily instead of my MAC Soft & Gently highlighter. I end up with budget brand goodies; Essence Strobing Highlighter in shade #10 Let It Glow and Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder in shade #010 Light Infusion. Both packages are what you are used from the brands: ordinary and minimal. Essence has a more pinkish colour that comes close to my MAC but the pigment doesn’t come close to MAC. You don’t even see it when I swatched it on my wrist and that is okay because I don’t need to look too glowy for a daily look. The pigment from the Catrice highlighter is a bit better then Essence. This shade is perfect for daily use. The shade is pearly and that gives a more natural look, just like that summer glow we all know and want.

img_4452

img_4450

When I don’t want to use my MAC highlighter for a more covered look, like for Moroccan wedding or other parties as in for the upcoming holidays I can use another beauty! The Sleek Makeup Precious Metals in shade #029 is just heaven on your cheeks! The pigment is so great and it stays long! Even with the swatch I made on my wrist it was not easy to wipe it off. This palette has four shades: Platinum for your browbone, Antique Bronze for your cheekbones, Royal Gold for the bridge of your nose and finally Renaissance Gold for cupid’s arrow which is the little small hills on your upper lip. Heck, you can even use it on your body! Think about a slightly touch of the highlighter on your collarbones. Beautiful!

img_4441

I am very excited about all three of them. Because of the number of highlighters, I have now I can experiment safely with a peace of mind!

img_4551

img_4549

I have a new look for you to see Loves. I am so excited about it, not only I used nice new products I also get more and more great in contouring and highlighting. Even tough after shooting every new beauty look my make-up get rinse off right away just as fast as shooting with my camera and I still enjoy every bit of it! So let me make you excited too.

img_4536

img_4535

I first started with Etos Skin Smoothing Primer to set a base for my L’Oréal Nude Magique Eau De Teint in #100 Porcelain foundation. Before I went further with my foundation I used my all-time favourite Essence Stay All Day 16h Long Lasting Concealer in #10 Natural Beige to blemish my impurities. When I let it for a minute or two to dry I started with contouring. Max&More Contour Stick is such a budget goodie! I contoured my facial parts that makes my face a bit smaller. After contouring I highlighted the facial parts that I wanted to stand out. Yet again I let it alone for a minute before I started to blend it with my H&M Angled Buffer Brush. It is such a fine makeup brush; the bristles are so soft!

img_4543

Now comes my eyes. To set base for eyeshadows I just H&M Fidelity Primer. I did not only use it on my moving eyelid but also under my eyebrow. On the middle of my moving eyelid I used eyeshadow H&M Blueberry Swirl to set a shade. On the inner and outer parts of my eyelid I used Max Factor Colour X-Pert Eyeshadow in shade #7 Vibrant Mauve. To blend it all together I used Max Factor Colour X-Pert Eyeshadow in shade White Satin. I used this shade also under my eyebrows for an open look. For mine under eye waterline I used my new goodie from my Style Tone Box of September Note Luminous Silk Mono Eyeshadow in #10. I wanted to express my eye colour more, purple suits brown very well!

img_4539

img_4553

I know making winged eyeliner can be a struggle to make. If you use a winged eyeliner brush you only have to need a steady hand so, move over sticky tape! The brush that comes with  Max&More Gel Eyeliner is perfect for it. On my lashes I used Ace Of Face Volumizing Curling Mascara Eyerule #3. It makes my eyelashes perfectly black with just one swipe!

img_4554

For the last finishing touches, I used Essence Silky Touch Blush in shade Secret It-Girl #30 on my cheekbones and on my lips I used Max&More Lipstick and lip liner in shade Dark Red #004

I am very happy about the results! How about you Loves?

Beauty – Tips | Beat The Last Heat!

IMG_4461

I still enjoy from my late summer in the Netherlands after my holiday in Morocco. Even here the sun shines like the beginning of summer and I’m not complaining! Summer is one of my favourite seasons and I always take good care of myself more than the other seasons. This is my confession; I think it is because my energy level or better yet my happy thermometer is increasing.

The beauty product that I swear by is my all-time favourite rosewater but I wouldn’t be a beauty addict if I’m not trying other goodies out so I expended my fav list!

IMG_4464

Let me start with a great beauty invention; dry shampoo. This goodie is ideal to use on warm days. You’ll sweat during your whole day no matter how many times you shower so to stay fresh and presentable spray dry shampoo on your hair namely on your scalp where the creasy part is. From my own experience whenever I use dry shampoo I wear my hair never loose. My hair structure is then different, like puffier. That’s why I prefer another hairdo like a ponytail, messy bun or a braid.

What I also like during warm days is not only a deodorant but also a body mist. When I was in Morocco this goodie never left my bag. I sprayed it during my day just for a quick fresh up before I shower. Because it is a body spray I use it easily over my whole body then perfume, it would be a shame if your perfume bottle gets sooner emptier because of it. Right Loves?

IMG_4465

My face has its own routine that I stick with and lately I asked myself what am I doing to moisturize my eyes? Well, nothing! So I bought a hydro eye roller from my local drugstore to try it out.  It contains caffeine, this ingredient stimulates your blood circulation and reduces puffy eyes. It also has hyaluronic complex to prevent dark circles and wrinkles. A great moment to start with because if you follow me on Instagram you would know I turned the big 27 last Tuesday!

I didn’t use a lot of make-up during my holiday or even during summer but when I do it I always finish it with a make-up fixing spray and honestly I thought it wouldn’t work, this goodie must be a fable. I guessed it wrong! It works perfectly and I recommend it to every Loves who are die hard make-up users!

IMG_4467

The main reason I prefer no or a bit make-up during summer is because I have an oily skin. Whenever the heat touches my face I look like a melted vanilla cookie. To prevent an acne break out, which I suffered from many years is to use a sebum-reducing cream. The one I’m using contains salicylic. Salicylic combats the existing and the formation of new pimples and this goodie truly works! I use it as my day crème and the control stick of the same brand I use it only on pimples that are already there to dry them out

IMG_4462

This is it Loves! Which products do you love to use during the heat?

Beauty Review | Brush or Sponge?

IMG_4224

Brush or sponge? The new phenomenon in the beauty world and I tried it out to share it with you Loves. When I first saw it the first thing that came into my mind is ‘’well, that’s interesting.’’ The second thing that came into my mind is: ‘’quite expensive!’’ I just wanted to try one out so I began my search. I stumbled on the online store called Wish, you probably heard about it. It takes a while before you receive it but then again I paid only two euros for it. So, if I don’t get it in the end I won’t make a fuss about it.

IMG_4227

IMG_4238

I did receive it and I was curious from the moment I opened it! I truly thought while seeing YouTube videos about it that it is a sponge because of the coverage. It turned out that the hairs of the make-up brush are so close together that it looks like a sponge. The brush has a small difference than other brushes you are familiar with; the hairs are thicker. The brush also comes in different sizes and I chose the small one.

IMG_4229

IMG_4239

When I applied it on my face I felt a soft feeling that you mostly feel when you use a normal foundation brush. Even though I used a little dot of foundation it covered my face just the way I like it, a bit natural. Since I have it, it is easy maintainable. I removed the excess foundation with a face wipe and it cleaned easily. Imagine when you use a make-up brushes cleaner!

IMG_4226

I must say that it is a perfect tool to apply foundation with but I do want to add that it is not different then a normal foundation brush, the hairs are only thicker and that’s it. If you want to try one out I recommend a cheap one first just because they do the same work as a normal one. You would think that the oval form of the brush will make it easier to contour your face or go smoothly over your face because of our natural face structure but, trust me it doesn’t change a lot.

I can say now that I tried one out though!

IMG_3981

Oh gosh…I’m liking the contour technique a lot now! I even enjoy it more if I use it together with the strobing technique. I’m having more a better feeling about applying make-up, I was a newbie and started with make-up in the beginning of my twenties. I used mainly just a mascara and lip balm. When I was ready for it, I ‘’upgraded’’ into the rest of make-up.

IMG_3982

IMG_3939

So let me start at the beginning Loves. First I used H&M Beauty Balm BB Cream in the colour Rose Porcelain. I forgot to place it in the flat lay, since I visited the New H&M Beauty Department I’m growing into their beauty goodies. When I finished applying the BB Cream I used my all-time favourite Concealer from Essence in the colour #10 Natural Beige. I applied it under my eyes as the well-known upside down triangles for a natural look. Now comes the contouring part! I used Max and More Contour Stick to shade the parts I wanted to express. I have an oval face so I applied it on my forehead, nose, under the line of my cheeks and my chin line. When I was done I blend it with a beauty blender sponge.  When I’m done with my face I always leave it for a minute or two to start with my eyes before I highlight it.

IMG_3944

IMG_3958

Naamloos

On my eyelids I used first an eyeshadow from Essence in the colour #11 Tiffunny. I truly love this budget brand. Their eyeshadows are always super soft and long-lasting! Right under my crease I used Max Factor three colour eyeshadow palette in the colour #08 Precious Metals. I only used the black colour of the palette to make my Smokey eye pop. I also used this colour under my waterline, just a little bit. I would make it heavier for a night out. To make a small eyeliner wing I used Essence Eyeliner Pen. It is long-lasting and smudge-proof and I can confirm that. For my eyelashes I used my yet again all-time favourite Essence Maximum Definition Volume Mascara. I love the flexibility the brush has and it separates my eyelashes very well, it doesn’t clump. On my inner lid I used Douglas Jumbo Shadow Pen for that extra open look. Last but not least, I used Catrice Cosmetics Kohl Kajal Eye pencil in the colour #040 White to express my eyes even more.

IMG_3983

Back to my face Loves. To highlight my cheeks, nose and my cupid arrow. For the Loves who doesn’t know what the arrow is, that’s the little hills of your upper lip. I used MAC Soft & Gentle and I wasn’t careful with it. I just love this glowy look!

IMG_3984

To keep the rest of my face in tone, I used Catrice Cosmetics Beautifying Lip Smoother in the colour #020 Apricot Cream. I’m surprised about this beauty goodie! I thought it would be a peachy coloured transparent shine gloss, but the cream does his work. It leaves that subtle sweet colour on my lips that I truly like.

I don’t know who invented a make-up fixing spray, but I salute you!  For that last touch I sprayed on top of my face Etos Fixing Spray for that natural finish and long lasting effect during my day. Perfect maximum fixation!

What do you think about this New Look Loves?

Beauty Review | Pretty Long Glamorous Hair!

IMG_3906

Oh my gosh! I tried for the first time hair flip in extensions. Yes, me! I never thought I would do it because it never crossed my mind. Or rather I should say that the only crazy thing I did to my hair is cutting it short. No, not an extreme pixie cut but from the middle of my back to the end of my neck, like an A-line bob. This was two years ago and since then I’m letting my hair grow back. I only cut the dead-ends and that’s it. So when I got the opportunity to try hair extensions I said yes!

Before.

IMG_4010

IMG_3909

In my hair I’m wearing the layered deep dark brown synthetic hair. It is 60 cm long and weighs 160 grams it also has a wavy structure. You have to attach the hairpiece with a wire. It sounds crazy but it is possible! The hair extension has a wire on top of the left until right ends of the hair extension. You flip it on top of your head like a hairband and with a tail comb you flip your hair over the wire. Simple, easy and quick! The wire is thin and transparent, perfect because you can’t see it in your hair. Very glamorous, whoop!

After.

IMG_4024

IMG_4030

I chose on purpose a wavy structure the reason behind it is that I never style my hair in all the way straight. I prefer a natural stroke and with these hair extensions my hair naturally blends with the synthetic hair. What I also love is that they are easy maintainable. You can comb, style, curl and wash it. As long you comb it from the bottom to the top, use a heat protector first when you want to style or curl it. Never use a hair tool that is higher than 160 degrees! Let the hair tool no longer than 8 seconds in your hair and last but not least wash it in lukewarm tap water and fabric softener. Yes, the one that you wash your cloths with. Let it soak for five minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm tap water and squeeze out excess water from the hair. When you are done with the ‘’hair bath’’ add a number of drops from a serum or hair oil and pat it dry with a towel before you let it lay or hang to dry naturally.

IMG_4034

IMG_3907

From the moment I got in my hair I felt like a mermaid.  My hair had suddenly length and volume! When I opened the package I was a bit sceptical about the hair colour. Even though my hair is dark brown I didn’t know how it would look on synthetic hair. So when I flipped it in my hair my sceptical thought flew away when I saw a smile on my face! I take good care of my hair and surprise myself with a new hairdo once in a while is just amazing!

Beauty | My Beauty Love.

IMG_3820

IMG_3821

Today I’m giving you Loves an update from my previous blogpost about my beauty favourites. While that blogpost was more about my basics that I always have in my beauty stash, am I going to share with you what I daily use. While my beauty routine changes with the season; this beauty love I always keep using. Although the brand and colour changes but otherwise they are here to stay.

IMG_3822

IMG_3823

When I can’t wash my face thoroughly due to lack of time, these face wipes come in handy. I use them first before I use water. When I buy these wipes I always search for the ones that is intended for sensitive skin and is PH neutral. The reason behind it is because I want to prevent a rash or a breakout. You never know. My daily make-up routine is quick and easy, I use an BB cream, a highlight pen for the corners of my eyes for an open look. A mascara, lipstick or a lip gloss and a highlighter or a bronzer. I prefer to sleep those ten minutes than to stand in front of a mirror.

My hands are the only body part that requires intensive care every day, especially my nails. Sometimes my nails break easily so I cut them short and when they grow it stays good for a while and then they break of. It is a vicious circle! To give my nails a ‘’hard’’ layer I mostly use a nail polish that has a natural look. These from Cairuo that I bought in Morocco is perfect for it.

IMG_3824

My oils! I just cannot live without them. Yes, it sounds extravagant but I mean it. After a shower I use drops in my hair. Lately I’m using Black Seed Oil instead of Moroccan Gold Argan Oil. Both have miraculous benefits and as a frequent heated tools user I cling to it!

Last but not least. I don’t go out the door without a spray of perfume. Either it is my Calvin Klein or this Guess bottle. Both are floral and wooded scented and radiate femininity. Love it!

What is your beauty love?

Beauty Review | Calvin Klein IN2U.

IMG_3486

Maybe it is just me, but when the seasons are changing I automatically change not only my wardrobe, my make-up routine but also my perfume. During winter I mostly use heavy scented perfumes and gradually changing it to citrus and flowers to summer sweet smelling eye candies. I am now in the ‘’citrus-floral stage’’ and I found in CK IN2U Her what I wanted.

IMG_3488

The bottle reminds me of a champagne bottle, although I do not drink alcohol but a fancy bottle on my dressing table I truly can appreciate. The minimal design is simple yet attractive. The fresh floral with a woody oriental base scent starts first with a fresh pink grapefruit and bergamot with a note of red currant leaves scent. The citrus smell of grapefruit gives you throughout your day a surprise gust whenever you move. Just when you thought the smell is gone it surprises you when you just simply get up from your chair behind your desk to freshen yourself up or to get a hot cup of cappuccino.

You would think that the scent is odd and elderly people would like it a lot but the perfume is launched in 2007 as a duo perfume instead of their well know unisex fragrances. This duo Her & Him is intended for the young generation, that Calvin Klein christened as the expressing freedom and possibilities of young people to explore the world. With these thoughts Calvin Klein wanted the world to know that he knows what the younger generation wants and that they can expect it at CK.

IMG_3489

I have the bottle for a while now and I must say that I’m very pleased by it. I can safely spray just the right amount because of the 150ml bottle and like I said Loves, I change my perfume seasonally. So, I probably will use it next year!

Beauty Look | Double Up!

IMG_3520

IMG_3522

New title and look! From today all blogpost about a make-up look is going to be called new look instead of beauty. I’m going through some blog changes Loves, you will notice it soon.

Anyway, let’s get started!

IMG_3508

IMG_3516

I did this look when I went to a Moroccan wedding last year. Today I want to show you how I did it. I started first with my favourite concealer from Essence. As you can see it is time for a new one. I applied it on my impurities and under my eyes as an upside down triangle for a natural look. After concealer I used H&M BB Cream Beauty Balm in Rose Porcelain. I am so glad I found this gem! I finally found a good cream that matched my skin tone. It truly covers very well for a BB cream; it also doesn’t feel heavy on my face like a foundation. Since the new beauty department of H&M Beauty I’m falling more and more in love with H&M.

And now my eyes. I always used an eyeliner pen because it is easy to use. This time I tried a Gel Eyeliner from Max & More. It came with an eyeliner brush and I must say I’m impressed. Not only is Max & More a perfect budget brand and cruelty free, it has good make-up! The Gel Eyeliner is waterproof so it stayed perfect all day. On top of the black eyeliner line I used H&M Liquid Eyeliner in Green. Perfect double up! To finish it off I used Maybelline New York Illegal Definition Mascara on my eyelashes, which I forgot to place with the others for pictures. Sorry Loves!

IMG_3524

IMG_3523

On my cheeks I applied MAC Soft & Gentle with the strobing technique. To do this I used a Butterfly Brush by Kruidvat Professional. This brand is from my local drugstore. It is so easy to work with. It feels light in your hand, different then an ordinary brush.

For my lips I used Max & More Lip Liner in Dark Red. I applied all over my lip line. Also this lip pencil came together with the Dark Red Lipstick. Even though it says Dark Red, I expected it would be like the colour Velvet Red but it came out lighter.

What do you think Loves, would you do a double up too?

Beauty | What Is In My Make-Up Bag?

IMG_3481

Let’s get nosy today! We are all guilty of taking a bag in a bag, right ladies? Today I’ll let you snoop in my make-up bag. Let’s imagine each other powdering our noses with the goodies from our pouches.

The bag is from Christian Dior. It is my all-time favourite make-up bag, I have it for ages. I fell naturally for the navy blue and silver colour. The pattern on the silver part of the bag are little lady faces. There is also written lady everywhere on it. Very ladylike!

IMG_3483

In my bag you can find my pocket brush. I use it mostly on rainy days to comb all of my hair or only the tail to maintain my wet hair. A make-up bag is nothing without a pocket mirror, that’s why I have two. It comes in handy when I want to use my Essence Oil Control Paper. I have an oily skin and during my day I don’t want to look like a glowing ball. The paper helps me to tone it down. What you also can find is a small jar with gel in it to tame my fly away. This little jar you can find it with the package of refill bottles that you take when you travel. I used a teaspoon to scoop the gel in it. If gel is not going to work I can use my hairclips. Perfect tools for a bad hair day!

IMG_3485

The pocket deodorant is from Odorex. I like the smell Jasmin and cotton oil. It is also alcohol free so it does not dry my skin out. Next to it you can see my hand sanitizer and then my flamingo tweezer to remove unwanted hair. What you also can find is Ibuprofen for when a headache emerges.

Here comes the beauty part; mascara: that is the beauty of having a lot of them; I can always put one in it without looking back. Same goes for my blush and eye pencils. I always use it to have an open look and sun kissed cheeks. Every once in a while I change the lip gloss or lipstick in a different colour but the lip balm remains the same, unless I have to change it because of hygiene. This counts for all the products.

Can I snoop in yours Loves?

Beauty Review | KIKO Milano.

IMG_2713

IMG_2712

I’m having Spring vibes with these colourful KIKO eye candy! I fell of course for the nail polish because I have a fling on the colour fuchsia and since I already have blue mascara I wanted to try the colour green, so why not finish it with an emerald green eyeshadow?

This is my first experience with KIKO and I’m hooked! With just one swipe and my nail was covered with the colour. It depends on yourself if you want a thicker layer. I do think that the nail polish bottle has a dull appearance. It is not something special or attractive. You would choose it only because of the colour. If you are into that, go for it! It didn’t stop me either.

Oog

IMG_3450

IMG_3458

When I swatched the eyeshadow on my pols I’ve noticed that it has a matt pigment. You know me Loves, I do not really like matt make-up but this one looks pretty good. The packaged reminds me a bit of MAC. Black with a transparent opening. I like that the brand name is pressed into the eyeshadow palette. I gives that little extra chic touch.

Green matches brown very well. When I tried the mascara my eye colour stood out. It is very beautiful and different than usual. A Moroccan wedding is therefore a great opportunity to show it off or if you dare to use it during your daily work for that extra sparkle!

What do you think Loves, already in the mood for Spring?

Beauty Review | MAC Soft & Gentle.

IMG_3320

IMG_3321

IMG_3322

My first MAC gem is a fact and I’m in love! You know me Loves; shimmery and shiny make-up is my cup of tea. Many bloggers are very enthusiastic about the brand MAC and I’ve read many reviews that have won me over to buy and try it for myself. I don’t regret it!

I roamed the store like I was a kid in a candy store, so many beautiful things that I couldn’t choose! Lipsticks, foundations, blushes caught truly my eye. Eventually it became a highlighter that is well known.

IMG_3323

IMG_3325

IMG_3330

Soft & Gentle is a luxurious powder with 77-Mineral Complex that adds highlights to the face and body. You can apply it on the parts of your face like your cheeks, cheekbones, and the tip of your nose. Think about the strobing technique. Since you can also apply it on your body, how about a little swoop with your brush on your collarbones?

Although the package looks simple yet chic, it suits MAC. With limited editions and collaborations with artists the package will be adjusted. It makes me only more excited about it!

IMG_3324

IMG_3333

IMG_3326

What I also like is that it gives a natural glow on your face. I applied it on my face with a strobing technique and although you cannot see it well on the pictures because of natural light it gave my face an open look.

What do you think about this highlighter Loves?

Beauty Look | Golden Smokey Eye.

IMG_3253

IMG_3257

I tried a new contour look! I must say that I was more confident at the moment to try it again. Because of I want to stick with my way of applying make-up as ‘’natural’’ as possible, I’m glad to say I’m satisfied with the result.

Let me get right into it Loves! First I used my all-time favourite Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Concealer in #10 Natural Beige. Not only suits this concealer perfectly with my skin tone, it also has light reflecting pigments for a naturally radiant complexion. I’m truly having a ‘’natural’’ look during my day which I prefer. I applied it under my eyes as upside down triangles for a more natural look. After that I applied it on my skin imperfections to tone it down.

When I was done with the concealer I used Max & More Contour Stick. This stick has a contour part and a highlight part. It is very convenient whenever you want to travel or just for a quick touch up during your day! The other thing that I adore, yes adore. Max & More is cruelty free! Amazing right? Because I have an oval face I contoured the parts of my face where I supposed to do it. I used the highlighter of the stick under my eyebrows for a glowy open look.

For my eyes I used I Heart Chocolate from I<3Makeup. I used the shade Chocolate Love on the inside of my eyelid until the middle of my eyelid. Then I used the shade More! From the middle until the outside of my eyelid. Then I blend it all for a whole look. On my under eye waterline I used You Need More shade for an overall look. When I finished I used again my all-time favourite Essence Eyeliner Pen for a small wing. For my eyelashes I used Waterproof Intense Black Extreme Volume Mascara also from Max & More. I must say that this mascara is a ‘’meh’’ the brush is a bit big for my eyelashes which makes me feel I do not use it optimally on my eyelashes.

I mostly use a bronzer on my cheeks but this time I used Max & More Pressed Powder Blush in Peach #031.

Last but not least, on my lips I used Max & More Liquid Lip Colour in Aubergine. Such a great colour!

Is it just me or does lipsticks give you a good feeling whenever you use it on your lips or see it collecting dust on your vanity? Which woman doesn’t have at least one or thousand lipsticks from all the colours in the world? Or who doesn’t buy every single time the colour that suits perfectly on you and want to try another shade but you end up with the first one? Believe me when I say you are not alone. I salute you!

I have this with the colour fuchsia and only with the dark pink ‘’red-ish’’ shade. Whenever I use this lipstick colour on my lips I feel instantly more feminine, like fierce.

So I wandered in the make-up isle of my local drugstore and took these candies into the shopping basket. I love the cute and chic look from Essence lipsticks! You would think that a budget brand will not do his work like a high end product but oh boy you would think twice if you try Essence. I have nothing but good experiences with the brand.

Same goes with the make-up from H&M and I’m even not writing about my thoughts on the packaging. Love it!

IMG_3003

Talking about lipstick colours, I have mixed feelings about the colour nude. It is always attractive for me to buy one. It reminds me of Kylie Jenner because it looks so good on her! Secretly I want it to look good on me too but always end up with a fuchsia one.

Which fav colour do you have Loves?

You want to take a bite, don’t you?! Hihi…It does look edible! I had the same thoughts when I saw it in my local drugstore. And I wanted to buy it even more when I knew it is a dupe of Too Faced Chocolate bar.

The 16 eyeshadow palette is literally an eye candy but the thing with beauty is that what’s inside that counts and to be honest I was more impressed about the package then the eyeshadow colours. A lot of colours looked similar and I rather had that the name colours was written inside the palette not loose on a foil paper.

IMG_2994

IMG_2996

For a dupe it is not that bad though. The pigment compensates the small flaws. When you smell it…Yes, it sounds weird but I always smell my make-up it’s a habit but also I’m not going to buy make-up that doesn’t make me feel comfortable wearing it; it does smell like chocolate! Hihi…Crazy right! If I could share the scent with you Loves you would agree with me!

IMG_2997

I swatched the colours so that you can judge for yourself Loves. From the top down: You Need Love, Piece Me Together, One More Piece, Love Torn, Stolen Chocolate, Thank Friday, More! And Pleasure Girl.

The first eight colours looked great then I started with the second eight colours and I lost a bit of my enthusiasm because some colours looks like the same or the same colour has a shimmery glow. This palette contains 16 colours and by the looks of it while I bought it I did not realize that the colors are a bit similar.

IMG_2999

Again from the top down: Meet Chocolate, Unforgiveable, Love Divine, Smooth Criminal, Chocolate Love, You Need More, What A Way To GO and Endorphins Ready!

IMG_2998

Despite this small flaw this palette is still a great eyeshadow to use for new looks! What do you think Loves?

I am surprised! My local grocery store sells make-up. The place where I thought they sell only groceries has a small beauty display. At first they only sold a small amount of beauty products like perfume, cotton swabs and pads, deodorant and bath/shower products. I used them once and I felt that these products are too harsh for my skin and hair. But I’m truly impressed by their make-up!

These products are very low budget but worth your money. I tried this French manicure nail polish from the brand Cien the brand from Lidl. When I tried the first try of painting my nails; the first thing that came on my mind is: this is not so bad at all!

The first try is perfectly fine if you want that natural French manicure look. I let it dry for a bit and put a second layer on my nails because I wanted a full coverage instead of see a through look, if you know what I mean?

I’m happy with the results! Do you? I’m going to keep Cien in my mind for probably a low budget look VS high-end look which is written on my beauty list.

To be continued Loves!

I did a new make-up look for you Loves. Finally! The look I made is perfect for the upcoming holidays. It is not too heavy, which is nice during your day when you spend time with friends and family celebrating!

First I used Etos Mattifying Primer. This primer mattifies the skin lengthy and absorbs sebum, perfectly suited for oily skin. The primer fades imperfections and provides a levelling effect. What I love about this primer is it is free of preservatives and perfumes and it has vitamin E in it. Whoop! After the primer I used Essence Stay All Day Concealer #10 Natural Beige. This concealer is truly my all-time favourite. It matches my skin tone perfectly! I applied it under my eyes as an upside down triangle to blemish my dark circles. Applying it as an upside down triangle gives more a natural look. Then I started with the last part of my face make-up. I used Max Factor Xperience Weightless Foundation in Beige Linen #50 such a mouth full! It does feel weightless and it is oil free. Again, perfect for my skin type! On the apple of my cheeks I used Primark Shimmer Blush. The pen broke so I poured it in a clean Nivea facial cream jar. Handy right?

On my eyes I used H&M 4 Eyeshadow Palette in particularly the purple and light beige colours. I like shimmery make-up more than matt ones. It sparkles beautifully in the light! I like the effect that it gives. Back to my eye make-up; first I applied the beige eyeshadow colour on the inside of my moving eyelid until the middle of my eyelid then I applied the purple eyeshadow colour on the middle of my eyelid until the outside of my eye. Then I applied Essence Superfine Eyeliner Pen for a wing. On my eyelashes I used Essence Maximum Definition Volume Mascara. Yet again my all-time favourite! On the corner of my eyes I used Douglas Jumbo Shadow Pen for a highlight.

Last but not least I used Calvin Klein Lipstick in the colour Desire. I forgot to put it with my flat lay but click here for the swatch!

While I was shooting for this look I had to work asap! The weather changes so fast in the Netherlands and I use natural light for my pictures when I finished the rain started to poor and dark clouds filled up the sky. The lipstick colour that I used reminded me of Purple Rain from Prince. What an imagination!

As I said in my Touch Of Gold make-up look I’ve been wandering through my make-up stash. Since I started blogging I feel I purchase a lot of new beauty goodies to use for reviews and new looks. I have to put a hold on myself and my wallet and use the goodies I already have. I don’t want to throw the half away just because it is expired. That would be a waste right Loves?

I am already impressed by the new beauty department of H&M and over the clothing even more. The pigment of this eyeshadow palette is just perfect. Even the white one can you see very well. The light soft pink surprised me too. I thought you would not see the difference between white but the glow of the light soft pink is quite good to see. Imagine when you combine it with the other colours for a beautiful look.

Pink, I’m thinking i’m growing a new obsession on that colour…

I think I have eaten an ‘’beauty inspiration’’ cookie. I’m having a beauty mood, I went through my vanity and paid a visit to my make-up stash and noticed that I have a lot unused lovely goodies. That has to change! So I put the ones I used a lot out of my sight and brought the unused ones in sight. While I was at it, let me do a new make-up look!

I have a routine when it comes to putting my make-up on, namely when I do a make-up look for my blog. First I used the Primer from Etos to smoothen my skin from impurities. Then I used Essence Stay All Day Concealer under my eyes. I apply it as an upside down triangle for that natural look. After that I blemished my natural redness with it. I let it just like that for a minute to let it dry on my face. When the minute was over I used Max Factor Experience Beige Linen 50 Weightless Foundation. It covers just enough. What I like about this foundation is its oil free so it won’t clog pores. Yay! And it has SPF 10 which is always good.

When I let it again dry for a minute I used Essence All About Matt Fixing Compact Powder to prevent oily skin during my day. Then I started with my eyes. I only used the two colours under on the palette from La Femme #01. I have this golden oldie for a while now and blamed myself why I didn’t use it before! It is so beautiful. It has a good pigmentation and I love the sparkles in it! I used the golden colour first. I started on the inside of my eyelid to the middle of my eyelid. Then I blended the brown/golden colour from the middle until the outside of my eye. To finish my eyes I used Volume Mascara from Hema.

Last but not least I used on my lips the lipstick from Calvin Klein Venus. I love my Calvin’s!

Perfume bottles, an eye candy on every vanity or dresser. The essence of smell, it brings you to memorable moments. I just get an ‘’hmm…ahh’’ moment every time I spray it on myself.

Yes, I love perfume! Not going to lie or even deny…Nope! Smelling good is very important to me. Not only with perfume but also with good hygiene.

I want to show you Loves my three favourites. I enjoy all three of them so a top three is irrelevant. Éclat d´Arpège from Lanvin has a fresh intense wooden smell. It is perfect if you don’t like that heavy wooden smell, like I do. Dolce & Gabbana Rose The One is a perfume that surprised me! I thought it would smell too sweet, like girly-girly cotton candy. If you know what I mean. It has more that feminine smell, a typical business woman smell. It sounds crazy but I want you to imagine the smell. The name already said it; it has a rose smell combined with citrus and florals like lily of the valley and peony. A perfect combination! What I like about Wish Pink Diamond Chopard is not only the shape of the bottle, a diamond! But also you can use it daily. It is not heavy or not sweet at all. More like floral and fruity. This is not a crazy because it has a fusion of apricots, mandarin, sandalwood and amber.

Let me share with you Loves some tips to enjoy more of your perfume. To keep the smell longer whenever you spray it. Place the eye candy’s far away from the sun. Keep them in a room that has a room-temperature. The heat ‘’absorbs’’ the smell and changes the colour. It would be a shame if that happened! Especially because you paid quite a dime for it. Spray it on your hairbrush. Every time you comb your hair, your hair will smell like your favourite perfume! Plus its way better then spraying it directly on your hair because most perfume has the ingredient alcohol in it and you don’t want to have dry hair because of it. Put a tip of Vaseline on the places you want to spray it on, think about your wrists, behind your ears, on your chest. Spray it into the air and walk right under it with your clothes on to enjoy more of the smell during your day!

Which is your favourite perfume Loves? Maybe I could add it to my collection. Sharing is caring!
