Fashion #OOTD | Black & Grey.

IMG_3371

I can’t get enough of black and grey…Apparently. I think it’s because it is getting colder and darker every day. As you all know me; I don’t like the seasons autumn and winter. Too rainy, too dark too soon and windy! Especially the weather in the Netherlands changes just with a blink of an eye. Winter means also sweater weather! The only thing that I love. Sometimes I feel the need to snuggle all day with a comfy sweater. And whenever you go home you don’t want to change it you just wear your pjays instead of a skinny hihih…

The turtleneck sweater is made from mohair and is comfy oversized. It will keep me warm during these cold days. This time I wore a black waxed skinny. What I like about this skinny is it always stays black no matter how many times you wash it and it feels not to tight on my body like denim.

I roamed through many clothes racks, and still I did not find a black coat that I like. One day my lovely sister left hers at home and I didn’t give it back. If you read this sweetheart…Thank you! Hihi..

IMG_3355

When I threw a glimpse at my shoes (read: collection) I didn’t know what to wear or to choose. But I did know that I wanted something to wear that makes this outfit not from comfy to sloppy. Eventually it became one of my favourite black boots. I like the golden stud’s details on it. With the pointy nose and small heels it looks chic yet edgy.

Writing about details; I wore my bohemian necklace that I truly love! Since it’s a comfy look I chose my grey shopper. This bag is typical a throw-anything-you-want-in-it-bag. But the suede faux snakeskin look makes it not look sloppy.

IMG_3001

Is it just me or does lipsticks give you a good feeling whenever you use it on your lips or see it collecting dust on your vanity? Which woman doesn’t have at least one or thousand lipsticks from all the colours in the world? Or who doesn’t buy every single time the colour that suits perfectly on you and want to try another shade but you end up with the first one? Believe me when I say you are not alone. I salute you!

I have this with the colour fuchsia and only with the dark pink ‘’red-ish’’ shade. Whenever I use this lipstick colour on my lips I feel instantly more feminine, like fierce.

IMG_3004

IMG_3005

So I wandered in the make-up isle of my local drugstore and took these candies into the shopping basket. I love the cute and chic look from Essence lipsticks! You would think that a budget brand will not do his work like a high end product but oh boy you would think twice if you try Essence. I have nothing but good experiences with the brand.

Same goes with the make-up from H&M and I’m even not writing about my thoughts on the packaging. Love it!

IMG_3003

Talking about lipstick colours, I have mixed feelings about the colour nude. It is always attractive for me to buy one. It reminds me of Kylie Jenner because it looks so good on her! Secretly I want it to look good on me too but always end up with a fuchsia one.

Which fav colour do you have Loves?

Beauty Review | I Heart Chocolate.

IMG_2995

You want to take a bite, don’t you?! Hihi…It does look edible! I had the same thoughts when I saw it in my local drugstore. And I wanted to buy it even more when I knew it is a dupe of Too Faced Chocolate bar.

The 16 eyeshadow palette is literally an eye candy but the thing with beauty is that what’s inside that counts and to be honest I was more impressed about the package then the eyeshadow colours. A lot of colours looked similar and I rather had that the name colours was written inside the palette not loose on a foil paper.

IMG_2994

IMG_2996

For a dupe it is not that bad though. The pigment compensates the small flaws. When you smell it…Yes, it sounds weird but I always smell my make-up it’s a habit but also I’m not going to buy make-up that doesn’t make me feel comfortable wearing it; it does smell like chocolate! Hihi…Crazy right! If I could share the scent with you Loves you would agree with me!

IMG_2997

I swatched the colours so that you can judge for yourself Loves. From the top down: You Need Love, Piece Me Together, One More Piece, Love Torn, Stolen Chocolate, Thank Friday, More! And Pleasure Girl.

The first eight colours looked great then I started with the second eight colours and I lost a bit of my enthusiasm because some colours looks like the same or the same colour has a shimmery glow. This palette contains 16 colours and by the looks of it while I bought it I did not realize that the colors are a bit similar.

IMG_2999

Again from the top down: Meet Chocolate, Unforgiveable, Love Divine, Smooth Criminal, Chocolate Love, You Need More, What A Way To GO and Endorphins Ready!

IMG_2998

Despite this small flaw this palette is still a great eyeshadow to use for new looks! What do you think Loves?

Lifestyle Collab | Be Healthy Be Forever.

IMG_2798

As I’m getting older I have noticed that I’m taking more care of myself. Taking care of my health plays a big part of it. To me it is such a big part because I’m still going in and out to hospitals to check my health. I’m suffering from distended abdomen. Only drinking of water and my belly swells. It is very annoying especially when you know in your mind you did not eat anything and you feel already full. But you cannot live only on water. This common scene, I’m gladly that I still have especially sometimes I feel very bloated because of my stomach. I’m happier about the fact that I can say the reason of my swollenness of my stomach is caused because I’m lactose intolerant. So I have to change my diet drastically. And to be honest it is hard because I can’t eat the most of the food that I’ve been eating my whole life.

 IMG_5176 IMG_5249 IMG_0523 IMG_0445

Drinking Aloe Vera helps me to reduce the bloating feeling. This magical drink helps truly during my day! It even helps to regulate my bowel movements. This is perfect understandable because Aloe Vera has many benefits! It catered for proper digestion, it gives a good balance in your intestines, and it stimulates cell growth, is rich in minerals and is a good source of vitamins! Amazing right?

IMG_2799

I certainly believe that good health start in the inside. Whenever you feel good in your own skin you’ll show it on the outside. Be Healthy Be Forever helps me to stay steadfastly in my diet. Their personal advice to me is such a great help and since I drink it I feel more energetic and comfortable in my own body!

Beauty Review | Pink Nudes.

IMG_2449

As I said in my Touch Of Gold make-up look I’ve been wandering through my make-up stash. Since I started blogging I feel I purchase a lot of new beauty goodies to use for reviews and new looks. I have to put a hold on myself and my wallet and use the goodies I already have. I don’t want to throw the half away just because it is expired. That would be a waste right Loves?

I am already impressed by the new beauty department of H&M and over the clothing even more. The pigment of this eyeshadow palette is just perfect. Even the white one can you see very well. The light soft pink surprised me too. I thought you would not see the difference between white but the glow of the light soft pink is quite good to see. Imagine when you combine it with the other colours for a beautiful look.

Pink, I’m thinking i’m growing a new obsession on that colour…

Leren Connor, she surprised me again! Her artistic expression I can see again in her festival collection. Her originality and attention to detail proves to be her trademark which I truly appreciate. When I see this collection the first thing that comes to my mind is happiness. The typical festival mood laid back and relaxed. Skirts from strips of fabric, tulle and crop tops anything goes!

”Over the last few months, Leren Connor and the team have taken a dramatic turn on the route to achieving their goals through the fashion industry and now the Festival scene.

This year LerenHQ Has spent a lot of time getting to know the Comic Convention industry which has also enticed the start of costume design through both Leren Connor and GYGO (get your geek on) the sister brand. Taking a step back from usual routine and embarking on a new path this small independent label has been making some big steps in all the right places.

So much has changed and due to this the team is thoroughly excited about the next year to come. Back in 2012 Leren attended her 1st Festival “Wilderness” as a trader, from this the team has been eager to get stuck in with the festival scene, this year it happened. At the end of August this label travelled down south to attend Into the Wild Festival, with the designs selling like hot cakes Leren is even more determined to get the Festival wear out there. Festivals are a great way to express costume design as well which is why it will also be a great marketing place for GYGO the sister brand which specializes in geek wear and costume design.

Her hold on environmentally friendly design also applies to this collection and that makes it yet again unique. You can see that she loves what she makes and it also radiates from her collections.

The growth she is experiencing is noticed. Hard work really pays off. Her devotion will bring her to high places that she deserves. We will hear from her again!

Do you love this collection as much as I do?

I was invited to the exclusive H&M beauty event. Such a beautiful experience to attend too! Let me introduce you to the new beauty department of H&M, I promise you, you’ll love it!

H&M is well known from their varied collections, they have applied it to their beauty department too. From skincare to make-up brushes you’ll find it all!

Many colours dominate the shelves, a truly colour Walhalla. What I like about the beauty goodies is they are well pigmented and it stays long when you apply it. Perfect for my up-coming autumn make-up looks! Besides they are make-up candy’s to your eyes. The chic packaging will stand beautiful on your vanity.

I wandered around and took the opportunity to look for an eyebrow kit. The Espresso brow kit caught my eye. I’m going to use it for new looks this autumn. Since I already wanted to try contouring, these blend brushes came in handy. They feel so soft and look professional on my stand. The quality is good too, they don’t lose any hair.

Do you know the new department of H&M too?

I’m back in the blogging game! You have no idea what I’ve been through to get online on my laptop. Let me spare you Loves the details but it involves a sacrifice of a dead body, a diamond and a walk to Timbuktu!

For this make-up look I used the strobing technique. For the ones who don’t know what it is, it’s basically the same as contouring but without accentuating the highlights with a dark foundation. You only use an illuminating highlighter for the contour. Strobing make-up gives you a dewy glowy look, perfect for summer!

Most Loves use foundation as a base. I did not use foundation because it is so hot in Morocco. No need for it, I will look as a melting vanilla cookie. Instead I used Etos Mattifying Primer #501. After the primer I used Essence Stay All Day 16H Long Lasting Concealer in the colour #10 Natural Beige. I applied upside down triangles under my eyes for a natural look. For my eyes I used W7 Naked Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. In particularly the two colours on the left. I applied it as a smokey eye. In details: the first colour on the left I applied it on my waterline and the colour next to it on my eyelid. I did not use mascara.

To highlight my cheekbones, my nose and my cupid arrows (the little hills of your upper lip) I used Maybelline New York Blush #77 Rose. No need to be careful with the strobing technique. So I applied a lot for a summer highlight!

During summer I have sometimes dry lips so I used New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm #351 Caramel Apple to still have the benefits of a balm and the colour of a lip gloss/stick.

What do you think about this look?

Beauty Review | My Calvin’s!

Ever since I did a review about Essence Lipstick (Cuteness Overload!) my obsession on lipstick started to grow. I have quite a stash now and I’m happy to add Calvin Klein to my collection!

It has a great pigment and the colour stays quite long on your lips. The lipstick itself has a chic look, it looks great on your vanity table!

In the beginning I was searching for the colours that suits mine skin tone and I must say it was quite a journey! Maybe it is me but I’m not waiting on a colour that makes me look sick because it does not do my skin tone right neither I want to make my teeth look yellow, who wants that?

I’ve noticed that any red, darker shades of pink lipstick colours suits perfect with my skin tone! My favourite Calvin is in fact the shade Venus.

I probably will add more Calvin’s to my collection and I recommend it to any lipstick lover, so move over MAC! Calvin is entering many vanity tables! Or you can take them both…Hihi

Which shade do you like Loves?

Do you know the feeling; whenever the sun starts to shine and the temperature starts raising all you want to do is sit down and lay back? Only wearing on your body jeans a top and sneakers? That day was today.

Since I wrote Beached Waved Hair & Sneakers, I’m starting to like wearing sneakers! I’m glad they come in many various forms and colours. These simple ones, I have them for a long time, so long that I forgot I had them (oops…). They are still good to go, I remembered why I had them in the first place, they are so comfy!

I combined the jeans before. This time I wore it with a loose fit top. Whenever you walk it moves with you. You’ll get that feeling when you spin around in your favourite jaunty dress or skirt. I know I exaggerate, but you know what I mean hihi…

A white bag is indispensable in your wardrobe! It’s like a black blazer; you can wear, or in this case take it wherever you go! The combining possibilities are perfect too. What I like about the bag is the little holes details on it. To make it more fabulous I added a pearl necklace piece. It was broken and I did not want to throw it away.

On a simple outfit belongs simple jewellery. I fell in love with this Jade Stone necklace from Lana’s Sieraden. Same goes with silver jewellery, it just never goes out of style!

”I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I’m out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”-Marilyn Monroe

IMG_1539
IMG_1538
IMG_1527
For this make-up look I got inspired by Marilyn Monroe signature look. The red lips and winged eyeliner. What I like about this look, it is a classic one! It just never goes wrong.

First I used the Etos Skin Smoothing Primer. This transparent primer is a gift from heaven! This miracle wonder is a good basic before putting your concealer and foundation on. This was my next step. The concealer I used is Essence Stay Natural Concealer. I applied it under my eyes as an upside down triangle for a more natural look. When I finished with the concealer I used Delia Cosmetics Mineral Velvet Skin Long Lasting Matt Foundation. I like Matt foundations! It gives you more a natural look. To avoid that ‘’make-up face’’ I recommend a matt one. When I finish with my face, I let it be for a minute before I begin with my eyes.

For my eyes I used Essence Superfine Eyeliner. What I like about this eyeliner is that you just need to have a steady hand. You just draw the line and you already have the winged part. And that’s because of the shape of the liner. How amazing is that? For my lashes I used Essence Plump! No Clumps Volume Mascara. It really does not give you clumps! On my waterline I used Douglas Jumbo Shadow Pen. I must say that I’m a bit disappointed about this one. I had to apply it many times before I even could see the colour. Maybe it’s because it should be used on your eyelid instead of your waterline. Even tough, for the prize and Douglas is a well know store, is to me a disadvantage.

On my lips I used Essence Lip liner #14 Femme Fatale. This is the first time I use a lip liner. I did not want lips like Kylie Jenner (finally she admits she used lip fillers! As we didn’t know hihi) so I applied it on the arches of my upper lip and on my under lip I applied it at the end of my mount up to a centimetre toward the centre of my lips. Then I used H&M Lip Pen Million Dollar Lips to finish it off.

On my cheeks bones I applied Etos High Lighting Illuminizer to highlight my cheekbones, it gives you an open look! To finish it off I used Chanel Blush #44 Narcisse, just a bit for that blushing look!

It’s been a while since I made a make-up look for you all Loves. I want to do something different, something fierce! I really like my eyes and with this look I want to make them POP and keep the rest gentle.

For this look I used first Etos Skin Smoothing Primer. This transparent is dream come true for blemishing impurities. Before I went further, I let the primer leave a bit in and started with Catrice Cosmetics BB Allround Foundation Cream. It has a SPF 30 Factor which is good but I must say this BB Cream is good to work with and the pigment covers quite enough but is not a miracle wonder.

For my eye waterlines I used Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil 01 Black Fever. What I really like about the eye pencils from Essence is that they are soft and indeed long lasting! On my eyelashes I used Maybelline New York Define-A-Lash Volume Mascara. I ADORE this mascara! It has a great brush; it gives no clumps and truly gives your eyelashes a voluptuous volume! On the half of my eyelashes I used Blue Volume Mascara from Hema. It has such a great pigment! Do I need to say more about this gem?

For the finishing touch I used Primark Sun Kissed Shimmer Dust. Normally I only apply on my cheekbones and a bit on my t-zone (forehead, tip of my nose and chin.) but this time I blend it with my Pink Essentials Blush Brush all over my face to have a more natural look.

On my lips I used Calvin Klein 22312 Shades Of Pink Ultimate Edge Lip gloss. What a long name for a lip gloss! But it gives a gentle look on my lips.

What do you think about this look Loves? Isn’t it perfect for a night out?

Beauty Look | Summer Glow!

IMG_1021

IMG_1029

IMG_1025

Last days in the Netherlands are cold, rainy and at some places even snowy. Winter is coming and I don’t like it. This season is not my favourite one, so I was slightly happy to see the sun shining between the clouds!

For this make-up look I went for the summer glow. First I used the W7 Hide It concealer stick to blemish my impurities (acne scars.) After that I used mine liquid foundation brush to apply L’Oreal infallible 24H stay fresh foundation. I’m looking for a foundation that has a good coverage so this sample came in handy and I must say it works pretty fine!

I did not want to have a ‘’foundation face’’ so I used Essence All About Matt! Fixing compact powder to blemish the oil from my face. I always wait a couple minutes before I apply my eye make-up. I do this so that my face can have a ‘’minute of rest’’.

For my eyes I used the eyeliner Catrice Cosmetics Calligraphy. It’s perfect for wings because it has a pencil brush. Nice to work with! On my eye waterline I applied the Essence 2in1 Kajal Pencil. Using a white pencil really gives you an open look which is a good cover up for baggy eyes!

When I finished my eyes I used my H&M blush brush to apply Etos Bronzing Powder. I love this powder because it does not have one colour but many (light pink, white, light brown & pink.) it matches with mine skin tone perfectly.

For the last finishing touch I used Etos Highlighting Illuminizer #301 beneath my eyebrows, eyelids and cheekbones for the summer glow. I kept my lips simple because my eyes were already the eye catchers! Maybelline Water Shine Gloss #504/110 Baby Pink suits perfect!

Love Your Event Report | I Love My Hair!

I was steady ready for the I Love My Hair Event! It is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to visit such events. I am very happy to get to know people who have the same interest as me!

What is it all about? HAIR! That’s right…This event was all about curly and frizz hair. As a curly head it was a very informational day.

How do you treat curly/frizz hair?

Curly/frizz hair is often mistaken as damaged hair but in fact all it needs is moisture. Use natural products for your hair avoid all sulphate chemicals! Don’t forget to use once a week a hot oil treatment for your hair. Coconut oil, Argan oil or olive oil works pretty fine!

Get to know your own hair! Do you eat healthy? Do you have stress? Got your hair to tight in a ponytail or bun? Hair loss? If you do it’s time to take good care of your hair and yourself.

Avoid stress by talking with someone about it or do something that sets your mind off on the daily things in life, change your routine! Loosen a bit of your hair tights on your ponytail or bun and wear your hair down.

Skip your daily eating habits! Replace snacks with healthy snacks like cherry tomatoes, carrots and cucumber. Vitamin B & D is a great help for your hair.

Sleep well and drinking water is a cliché but very affective!

My hair, don’t care!

I have curly hair that tends to dryness. I style my hair a lot but then again I take good care of it, at least that’s what I thought. To me is Argan oil a jewel for my hair I use it daily. I wash my hair with Dove shampoo and conditioner dry & damaged hair (because I style it a lot) and once a week a give my hair a mask from the same brand as my shampoo. That is enough right? Well…No! The problem is sulphate!

Because of this event I did not style my hair for *drum rolls* two weeks! Mooney Zichterman the power women behind this event opened my eyes. You should be happy with your own hair! I see and feel that my hair is softer then before and I’m losing less hair which to me was a big problem.

From now on I’m going to take more care of my hair do you?

Lifestyle Review | Jnane Sbile, Fez Morocco.

IMG_0725 IMG_0724 IMG_0714 IMG_0713 IMG_0711 IMG_0707 IMG_0706

If you go one day to Fez a place in Morocco make sure you’ll visit this hotel! You get instantly introduced with Moroccan culture and the architecture.

It was a color bomb to my eyes, such a warm welcome! I really like Moroccan architecture; to be honest it seems we are very good at it, as I could see in this Jnane Sbile hotel which the meaning of is ‘’farm for travelers.’’ I know what you think…How do you mean a farm? The word Jnane in Arabic dialect is literally translated as farm but we mostly mean it as a resting place.

We had two bedrooms include a closet, shower cabin, television and mini fridge. It’s decorated with Moroccan paintings and decors like a mirror and a side table.

I really enjoyed staying here, next time I will definitely return!
