Finally, a new outfit post on my blog. The weather is so horrible here in the Netherlands that on somedays I need to wear my winter coat. When you think the sun is shining, in a blink of an eye you start to sing Rihanna’s Under My Umbrella. I was just glad I could get out of my house and pick up my click & collect at Ikea and shoot my outfit. Two birds in one stone!
There is one style I can’t get enough of and that is anything oversized! I love the combination of a skinny jean and an oversized blazer or blouse, in this case: both. I thought my blazer had little checkered patterns on it, I was wrong. It is called dogtoothdessin, I never heard about it that I had to google it. It sounds fancy and the best way I can describe the pattern is, close your eyes: a vintage look blazer that you took out of your grandfather’s closet. Now you don’t have to google it.
Who is also guilty of having black skinny jeans in abundance? I’m raising my hand. Only because I have an obsession about black needs to stay black. Whenever I see my washing machine did me wrong, that b*stard, I don’t want to wear it anymore. It makes me feel like it didn’t wash properly, I know I’m a bit OCD in this.
White, a color you either love or hate. I’m growing to love it! I had an obsessive moment for white boots, I looked and searched everywhere for the right one. What I like the most about the ankle boots is its pointy nose, the zipper on the back and the shape of the heels. It gives that sixties disco vibe!
Speaking/writing about white, it’s a perfect color to combine with gold. The golden details pops up with white. It is so chic and never goes out of style. That’s the beauty of bags and shoes, no matter what the trend is at the moment, they will always suit your fashion sense.

I’m going to be straight up with you Loves, this coronavirus got me f*cked up! Imagine with me why: your day is only filled up with studying, working to provide and no time to do something that you love. For me: my blog, hence my long absence. As I’m writing now, at this very moment I literally forced myself to breathe again. Just a bit tough, but still breathing. Now, imagine further with me: on top of all, you are in quarantine. I still went only outside to my work and for groceries. That’s the only store that was open, bless those hard workers. I really felt trapped. I missed going out to shop, going out to dinner and a movie with my sister. I missed my daily trips to college. I missed my visits to the library. I missed simply just running errands. I missed being free!
When everything in the Netherlands slowly went out of lockdown, my sister and I decided to do something fun with her kids. Gosh, those angels needed it more than me. We went to a park based on characters of Dutch fairytales, called Sprookjesbos. The kids had fun, we had fun and I took the moment to shoot my ootd. Two birds in one stone!
I wore a split end skinny jean from Mango. I loved how it looked with my heel sandals from H&M. Confession: I took my black ballerinas with me because for real, who walks on heels visiting a theme park? I kept the rest of my ootd simple. You never can go wrong with a white shirt. I like the strings on the sleeves. It adds that bit of flair on a plain white shirt. As you all know me, I’m obsessed with bags! If you don’t: now you know. I’m well known for taking big bags with me, everywhere I go. This time I took a small one and to be honest: it felt good. This time I wasn’t carrying bricks with me for no reason.
Quick question Loves, what was your first go to after lockdown?
