COLLAB | Lifestyle | Room Inspiration & Room Decor Statement Pieces.

My room is my favourite place in the house. It’s a place I spend most of my time in. If the walls could talk, they will tell you everything I have been trough. So, you can imagine I like to take care of my little place.

I like to keep things organised and tidy. I love to use my space usefully because it gives order in my head. So, I’m a big fan of drawer organising and was happy to find acrylic organisers at my local dollar store, called Action. Europeans know which store I mean, a store that makes us happy! Not only I keep my makeup organised, but also my jewellery and my sunglasses. It creates a clear view of the stuff that I have. It’s quick and easy to pick up when I need something from the drawer.

I am without a doubt happy with my clothing rack purchase. I hang my outfits for a week on it, so that I don’t need to search for it in the morning. When it comes to shoes for the week, I put it on the shelf right under the rack. For the shoes I don’t have space for, I use a trolley to organise them. The trolley comes so in handy, because of the wheels under it. I just roll it out of the space, it fits perfectly there.

After organising I like to spice up my room with decorations. I’m obsessed with the statement posters I received from Gallerix. The posters framed in a black wooden frame, reminds me of my roots. I haven’t been to Morocco for four years now and I miss it a lot! The city poster reminds me of the memories that I have during my stay in Morocco. Like visiting my local souk(market) where I bought the jewellery box. A true statement decoration!

The Sheikh Zayed mosque in Dubai poster caught my eye, same goes for the Ornate Entrance door. It gives me that Arabic aesthetics that I truly love.

With code Saida30 (valid till 26th of February) you’ll get 30% off at Gallerix. Happy shopping!

Disclaimer: the poster has been gifted to me. Posters and frames has been chosen by myself.

LIFESTYLE | Club 30! Perks Of Being In Your 30s.

Hello September! Hello birthday month! Hello, making it a month to remember! Am I making you excited too? I bet I’m not the only one who gets this feeling, when you’re alive and well and your birthday month is coming up. However, I do believe some of you could have a mixed feeling about getting older. Even I don’t feel like a kid in a candy store over the years I’m getting older. Since years ago, I don’t celebrate my birthday in the sense of throwing a big party and invite whoever I can and of course, want. Celebrating my birthday means to me, celebrating being grateful. Let me take you to the perks aisle of being in your 30s.

I don’t know about my fellow 31 years clubbers, but I truly believe in: getting older means getting wiser. I’m not talking about not making mistakes or following strictly the rules of life and not coloring outside the lines, not that it is a bad thing. I’m talking about having a different mindset from what you had when you were in your 20s. Those mistakes become learning moments. Those strictly living by the rules of life becomes having experiences in live. Coloring inside the lines becomes thinking outside the box.

Because of this mindset, your confidence keeps growing whenever your life experiences become learned experiences. Old situations become better to handle and new situations become easier to start with. Not only how you adjust to situations and your emotions, your thoughts and opinion changes when your getting older. Don’t forgot the relationships you have. In terms of love, family and friends. Aware and unaware you hold on too who are important to you and who brings you joy and love. You will not tolerate childish behavior, disrespect and ignorance. It will be easier to cut ties. When you do: hello drama free life!

Holding to things that makes you happy is also something that you are going to do. It will become something that you truly treasure. As I have written earlier, every year I’m celebrating being grateful. It became a tradition in my life to go out to dinner with my family. Celebrating them for always being there for me. I love them around me! My birthday is also a moment to reflect about myself. How I did the last couple of months. I’m grateful about what I achieved with my studies and blog. I’m going to graduate next year, and I still love my blog after 7 years. I have collaborated with brands that I’m very proud of! I also celebrate my mental health. Sounds crazy, but it helps a lot when I look back to moments that was hard for me and be proud about how I conquered it. I also gift myself perfume, because it is well deserved. Why perfume? Because that beautiful bottle is pretty to look at and the scent represents your lovely and sexy self.

The aisle of perks is coming to an end. Welcome to getting older and less f*cks to give!

COLLAB | Fashion | My 10 Wardrobe Essentials Wishlist.

Pictures are originally from: Spartoo.nl

‘’I wish, I wish…’’ Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a bottle to rub so that a friendly genie comes out, who let all your wishes come true? Especially when the genie has an Anna Wintour fashion mind!

Wishlist’s perfect to make for the upcoming holidays. I don’t know about you Loves, but these lasts months of the year equals sale, sale, sale and sale! Think: Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas shopping. Hello, discounts! Even more perfect when you can do your shopping online, while sitting comfortable in your pajama feeling the warmth of your fuzzy socks under your blanket. To make it even more comfortable, at Spartoo.nl you’ll find everything in one place.

So, let me share with you my wish list. I got this beige trench coat from Michael Kors and Levi bootcut jeans on top of my list. I love how chic the trench coat looks! It’s a perfect office style coat, which suits perfect with the bootcut jeans. Further down my list comes the Levi T-shirt. It’s weird, because this basic piece was always on my mind. However, when my paycheck comes, I always seem to forget it when I go shopping. I hope I don’t forget it because of this list. A golden watch comes next. This timepiece is from Michael Kors, I like the details of the watch and if you know me, you would know I like golden arm candy. It just never goes out of style!

The Ugg boot, you either love or hate it. And I love it! Years ago, I had one. I was so obsessed with it that I wore it the whole fall and winter season for….* drumrolls * four years! Don’t judge, those boots are expensive! The next piece on the list, is also a timeless item. The leather jacket is from Guess. I love the faux fur collar, inside the jacket is also layered with faux fur. Keeps me perfectly warm.

The beauty item on my list is the makeup pouch from Furla. I like that shade of red, suits perfect with my Guess red wallet. My list wouldn’t be complete without a bag on it. Yes, I’m a bag-a-holic and no I wouldn’t go to an AA meeting, if there was one! Next item on the list a Tommy Hilfiger wallet. Why? I don’t have particular reason, but I like it has a sophisticated chic look. Also, I’m obsessed with big wallets where I can put all my passes in. Last, but not least: biker boots. I already have one, but I want to update it to a new one. I have mine for quite a while and even though they are still perfect, it is time for a change.

What is on your wish list?

Beauty | My Currently Favorite Makeup Products.

I just love when I buy makeup products that I truly use and not letting collecting dust on my shelves or vanity. I have been looking through my makeup collection and I noticed that I either use one brand the whole time. I even buy a new one if I almost finish it, while I have the same product just in another brand laying right next to it! It is quite a waste of money and we all have to know that some makeup products won’t last forever. When the expiration date is over, we need to accept it’s over! I know, it can be hard. We all have been to that point in our lives and I’m not only talking about makeup, if you know what I mean *kuch…kuch…that denim jeans we fitted before those extra pounds…kuch*, so time to step back, reflect and make better choices!

So, instead of running to Douglas to buy goodies that I already have, I went shopping into my own makeup collection. Since I saw the best Essence Cosmetics mascara budget mascara on Reddit, I’m hooked too! It does what it says, you feel like princess with your long eyelashes. I had my Bobbi Brown BB Cream in shade medium for a long time hiding in my makeup drawers. I did not think about it, until I caught myself buying the same BB Cream I use for ages. Time for a change! I’m so liking the Bobbi Brown BB Cream, it has such a good coverage for a BB Cream. I don’t even have to use a concealer to blemish my impurities. How great is that!

Dior, one of my favorite high-end brands. The quality is so good that you don’t need to use a lot for a perfect look. The lip balm moisturizes my lips very well and it leaves a sweet pinkish glow behind. Just Perfect! If I could let you smell Miss Dior perfume, I would Loves. It has a sweet yet wooden smell. A feminine scent with the good of two worlds, sweet and strong!

Makeup brushes, also a thing that I buy when I see one. It’s crazy how many I have. The only good thing about it, is having it back hand when I need to wash my brushes. Even though I have a lot they work very well. The ones from Primark is such a budget goodie! So why change a winning team, right Loves?

I have been looking for ages for the right peachy blush. It was quite a journey, I wanted the right shade. Whenever I thought I had it, I end up with a too orange pigment! Looking like an Oom-pah Loompa is not my intention to be. Glad I found it with the Coral Spectrum blush palette from Zoeva. It has a good pigment, a soft formula and not a chemical smell. The right things I need in makeup. Also, such a holy grail: Huda Beauty 3D highlight palette. I have the Pink Sands shades, the glow it gives is just amazing! To finish it off Loves, MAC Prep + Prime in Rose scented fix pray is such a good product that does what it needs to do: securing makeup all day long!

It was nice sharing with you my currently favs Loves, I’m curious about yours!

Beauty | Oil My Hair Softly.

I have been on vacay to Morocco and I wouldn’t be from Moroccan origin if I don’t bring back oils. They can be used for anything, face, body and hair. Every Moroccan beauty queen swears by argan oil, the Moroccan liquid gold. Black seed oil for getting strong hair, rose oil for moisturizing your face and applying a drop on your hair for that sweet rose scented smell. Two birds in one stone!

As long as I can remember, oil belongs into my haircare routine. After I shower and let my hair dry for a bit, the first thing I do is use argan oil or blackseed oil on my hair. I have written a blogpost about argan oil and its benefits. I still swear by it because it is a truly holy grail when it comes to my hair.  Argan oil is proven to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. It is the ideal hair conditioner, and it can even help to treat split ends and tame frizzy hair. Due to its ability to tame frizz and give hair shine, argan oil is also commonly used as a styling agent. It makes hair more manageable and adds a healthy, attractive shine to any hair style. This is an ideal step to add to my daily routine after blow-drying or shower. I rub a few drops of argan oil over my palms and then comb my fingers through my hair.

Black seed oil is such a powerful oil, it truly does its wonders. It’s well known for its purifying benefits to clear acne prone skin. It nourishes the skin and within weeks your skin gets clearer! It smells like wet wood in a forest, at first its heavy and then its only leaving his nature vibe. A drop is more than enough, add it with your favourite conditioner for a quick hair mask boost or in your favourite facial creme for that natural healthy glow.

I use rose oil after I style my hair to get it shinier. It also gives my hair that perfect rose scented smell, like perfume. You also can use it as a bath oil to nourish you skin. It’s makes your body feel so soft! I sometimes use it on my hands and feet’s when I go to bed. It makes my skin softer and my cuticles are because of it, easier to manicure.

I cannot live without my oils! It’s truly rooted in my hair and facial routine. I remember when I was a child, that during my holiday in Morocco my aunts and niece comb my hair and use argan oil for my hair. Back home in the Netherlands my lovely mother would do the same. As a grown up I continue to do so and even pass it on my daughter!

Note To Loves | I’m On Vaycay, See You Soon! XO S.

It has been two years since I’ve been on a vacation, that sounds crazy! I missed everything about my roots: the culture, architecture, mosaics and the colourful souks. The natural beauty products and their traditional fashionable clothing. Gosh, I missed my great grandmother and her feminist stories with a touch of humour! Her laughs and her wise life lessons, I missed her a lot. I missed the farm of my grandfather and the sound of his voice when he calls me or my little brothers from far. As a born and raised Moroccan girl in the Netherlands, is the Moroccan vibe we have here not the same as in Morocco. Surely, versatile Morocco.

I’m going to Morocco by car, driven by my hero of a dad. We go through Belgium, France and Spain before we take the ferry to Tangiers. It’s going to be a long trip, but definitely one with joy and a touch of annoyance, because of sleepyheads that drops on your shoulders.

The first thing that I do is settle in our home. I have the habit to go through every room and corner to visually remind myself of memories that I have experienced in our home. Then I visit my room and make it my own and homey as soon as possible! Only then I’m able to rest and enjoy my vacay. Loves, are you excited as I am? Follow my journey during my trip on my Instagram and see a glimpse of Morocco and get inspired!

During my vacay I hope to work on my time management. I really want to learn it, because I’m juggling between my studies, blog work and chores. It’s like that 24 hours isn’t enough! I worked with planners and to do lists, it’s not working for me. If you have any tips Loves, share them with me! I’m happy to try them out.

Back to my vacay: you can read my excitement, yay! Have you been to Morocco or another Islamic country? I’m curious about your experience, if you blogged about it feel free to share your links.

Lifestyle | With MAHI On A Holiday.

My summer holiday from college officially started, until September am I a free elf! This summer am I going to work on myself, my blog and my studies. These are my top priority on my to do list during my summer. However, summer wouldn’t be summer if you don’t put your to do list aside. My yearly visitation to my roots in Morocco is off the table, this little setback doesn’t hold me to enjoy this year my second roots country: the Netherlands. I’m going to be a tourist in my own country by taking small holidays to see what the Netherlands should offer me besides my backyard. How better to do this together with a MAHI?

I was instantly obsessed with it as soon I put it on my wish list. Since I got it, I mostly use it for college but it is also perfect useable as a hand luggage. Since minimal and simple belongs to my sense of style, I chose this The Classic Tote bag and I love it! Leather is well known for its long shelf life and that’s what I love about leather bags. For a personal touch, you can get it embroidered, I chose my first name and last name first initials in the colour black. To me it gives that bit extra.

At this moment, I’m planning for a little getaway, I think it’s going to be somewhere in Europe. It is not official yet, but I’m already thinking what I’m going to put in my MAHI. Naturally I’m taking my notebook with me to write down my thoughts and blog related work. I will also take with me a travel size fashion magazine just for a bit of beauty related inspiration for my blog. And most of all the travel size is perfect for a holiday so I don’t have to carry a normal size fashion magazine with me. I also take with me my favourite sunny at the moment, Ray Ban sunglasses in my floral glasses case. When I’m on a holiday I don’t think a lot about my makeup. My currently lovie Chanel lippie is more than enough. However, my hair is quite important to me. So, I’m taking my hairbrush with me and of course it is travel size. Perfume is a must take for me, deodorant is also perfect but I feel that the scent doesn’t stay longer like perfume. So, for a quick fresh up I take a perfume with me that has a woody citrus scent like GUESS Seductive.

The last two items that I wouldn’t miss to take is my phone and camera. My phone for accessibility and my digital camera because of the size, my other camera would only be in the way of shooting memories!

Since it is quite a big bag, I will take clean underwear with me and other toiletry. The rest of the space is reserved for goodies I couldn’t resist to buy under the guise of ‘’cultural references’’!

Fashion | Crossbody Bags & Clutches.

img_4632

When it comes to diversity in fashion, style comes in different items and sizes. You will always find something that truly belongs to your style, to me that is the beauty of fashion. I define my style as “not perfect”. This means to me that my style comes in many names, from minimal to edgy to bohemian. I like oversized, layering and neat. I like, chic, casual and girly. When you could look into my closet you would see what I mean when I write that fashion can be a Walhalla for mixing and matching and I love it!

Today I’m showing you Loves not my all cross body and clutches collection. I promise you would love it especially when you have “fashion is more than clothing” in the back of your beautiful minds.

img_4636

I don’t stick to one colour when it comes to my bags. I believe that bags are just like shoes you can match them with many styles. I do stick with chic, minimal and bohemian designs because they come close to my own style. I wanted to add a bright colour into my collection with a chic yet edgy touch. When I saw the pink one at Primark I liked it instantly! This is the clutch that I had in mind. Normally I keep my taste save but I had ‘’why not?’’ moment when I saw the beads cross body bag. I hold it in my hand with this ootd because the sound of the beads was a bit overwhelming while walking. Holding it in my hand the sound was slightly less.

The bleu Guess bag was my first designer bag I bought. I remembered the day that I bought it, I was with two of my best friends and just got my first pay check. I was so excited! I have it for years now and even if it contains traces that it is worn a lot, it is still dear to me that I don’t want to throw it away. I think that this is what they mean when they say you cannot forget your first love hihi..

Imagine yourself in colourful Morocco with many colours around you, Moroccan architecture, their traditional clothing and the souks with little mountains of spices. Are you imagining it already Loves? This vibe I’m still having when I look at my orange leather bag from Morocco. I fell in love with the beauty of the colour orange and the details on it.

Which one do you like?

Note To Loves. | Escaping Routines} Moroccan Love.

IMG_5646

I am in Morocco! I’m saying this with such a relieve, from the moment I put my feet on Moroccan soil and the heat greeted me the fatigue of my daily routines in the Netherlands burned with the heat. I feel blessed to visit my country again and I’m glad to give you Loves an inside snoop!

Of course I travelled in pink….and black. I wanted to travel light weighted so a suitcase and a valise is more than enough besides I wish I could take my whole wardrobe with me.

IMG_5659

I flew with Air Arabia and to be honest it is a good airline and the stewards did their job well but, ordering food and drinks took so long that we almost landed and when I ordered the cold drinks were warm and some warm drink like cappuccino they didn’t have it. Slightly disappointing. I’m not the hardest person but these small things are a welcome card for an airline and if it isn’t complete you just going to feel like mwah.

Confession: I don’t like to fly. As the plane rises I say a little prayer same goes when the plane is going to land. If we have turbulence my belt is closed tightly and I’m not even moving out of my chair. So the three hours I stayed in the sky I squeezed my eyes 267 times, said a prayer 154 times and hold on tight on my belt like it is going to save me when we going to crash! Hahaha…What a mess! Through land, seas and the sky traveling to any country that you have your mind on is a great experience to have.

I’m wishing you all Loves if you are also on a holiday in a country that you love to enjoy! My journey in Morocco is just getting started follow me on my social media for more inside scoops!

I’m not a travel blogger Loves, but these vacay pictures I really want to share with you. Delusion with me through cultural, historical, beautiful Morocco.

Oujda.

Oujda is my city that I go every Summer too. This city is a city in north-eastern Morocco, the eighth largest city in the country. The city is located about fifteen kilometres west of the Algerian border and about sixty kilometres south of the Mediterranean coast.
I truly find my peace when I go home. This city has not only beautiful architecture but the nature has clean air to breathe. The parks are full of flowers and greens that make you happy just by watching them. Most of all my lovely family are around me.
Whenever you go to Morocco, I recommend not staying in only one place. Make your own adventure!

Rabat.

Rabat is the capitol of Morocco.

Rabat 1

Rabat 2

Al Hoceima.

The beautiful port of Morocco.

BeFunky Collage6

There are many places I’ve been too in Morocco. Tangier, Asilah, Tetouan, Chefchaouan, Al Hoceima, Nador and more. It would be a travel book and not a fashion blog!

For someone who lives in two cultures (Dutch & Moroccan), lives with both worlds. As much I enjoy visiting my country I have a life in the Netherlands simply because I’m born and raised here. Morocco will always be a place to my heart.

Which city would you like to visit in Morocco?

Beauty Review | My Hair Secrets.

I’ve been taking more care of my hair. I swear by Argan oil. This is truly my golden elixir! I use it daily, when I finish with showering and I apply it after I style my hair.

I did a blogpost before about Argan oil. It has many benefits that will help to protect your hair, to make it healthier and give that natural shine back. It should be in your daily routine to see the difference.

Moroccan women are well known for using natural beauty goodies. Remember my blogpost about rosewater? I use it for my facial routine. Same goes for rosewater, it has many benefits!

Why not mix these goodies together? I used this mix when I went to the beach in Morocco. I wanted to protect my hair from the salty water and the sun. I was so positive about it that I decided to use it more often. As you all know, water and oil does not mix. In this case it doesn’t matter because even though it didn’t truly mix together, the Argan oil was not so oily anymore which makes it perfect for daily use for the ones who don’t prefer oil at all in their hair. Besides a small drop of Argan oil only does not make your hair look like too oily! I use this mix mainly on the ends of my hair to keep it moisturized.

I see and feel that my hair is getting healthier. That I never dyed my hair has to do something with it too. I do style my hair a lot so I’m going to keep using these goodies!

What are your hair secrets?

We all have those days that you look at yourself in the mirror to self-reflect. To think about the choices you have made it the past and going to make in the future. There will be a time that you’ll say to yourself ‘’enough is enough, you need to change.’’ Or you would say ‘’I am proud at where I am, I need to continue.’’

Everything happens for a reason, as well as with my blog. I don’t want to make excuses because it would not bring back the lost time. This is me, explaining why it was quiet for a while. As you all know I went on a holiday to Morocco, my country. I was full of energy about it and believe me when I say I enjoyed every bit of it. There were slightly troubles with having an internet connection whereby I could not blog for couple of days. When the problem was fixed I blogged and felt very happy about it because I had a lot of inspiration! Then the problem came back and it could not get fixed! I was so upset about it! Eventually I’ve accepted because I must.

The silence gave me time to think about myself. To self-reflect. I don’t know about you Loves but vacay to me is relaxing and detoxing! Not only on health but also mentally and spiritually. And I have noticed that blogging wasn’t my first priority. I had mixed feelings about it and quit blogging crossed my mind. I felt so sad….

I also noticed that I’m a bad planner. Believe me when I say: I have many planners that I write on but yet it always seems that something comes between my plans and it is so frustrating that I feel that nothing comes to an end or I’m wasting my time!

Bear with me Loves; I’m changing myself to be better at planning and blogging. I hope you’ll have the patience because I’m coming back!

Beauty Review | Cairuo.

If you have read my previous posts you would know I prefer lightly make-up or no make-up at all. I’m still in my summer vibe; minty OOTD and a strobing make-up look. A nude colour on my nails belongs also in this summer essentials list.

I bought this goodie in Morocco; I’m not familiar with this brand. I searched Cairuo online but it didn’t help me much. That’s too bad because it is a good nail polish!

It covers my nails pretty well. I used it on my hand nails and toe nails and I must say; it doesn’t chip easily, which is good! You will shower a lot in Morocco because of the heat and removing your nail polish everyday should not be an activity to do during your vacay, right?

Event tough I’m not familiar with Cairuo, there is always first and getting to know a brand is not so bad at all when they deliver pretty goodies!

I like this nude nail polish! I even did a nude make-up look. I’m only looking for the perfect nude high heels! Then is my list complete.

Do you like the nude look too?

DRINKS | Moroccan Tea.

“You are not Moroccan if you don’t know how to make Moroccan tea.’’

Well, that is a strong opinion; then I have to confess: I can make Moroccan tea but there was a time I did not drink it! What you hear about Moroccan tea: too sweet! It’s true. That was the reason I did not drink it. I know what you think: don’t drink it sweet? Believe me when I say I do now but drinking Moroccan tea happens mostly during family gatherings and has a special way to make it. And it is kind of rude to ask only for you tea without sugar. But let me say; if they knew it before they will make it to your wishes.

So, the ones you see everywhere: a cup of mint tea with still the mint leaves in it is just a quick way to make it.

Ingredients:

  • Mint Leaves.
  • Dried Green Tea.
  • Sugar (or not).
  • Water.

Directions:

Boil water until you get bubbles. Pour one tablespoon of dried green tea in the pot. A Moroccan pot is perfect for it. It’s cultural, curvy and beautiful! If you don’t have one, don’t worry a normal teapot works fine. Pour a little bit of the boiled water in the pot swish or swirl it around and pour the water in a cup. Do not throw this away! We are going to use this later. Pour again a little bit of boiled water in the pot, swirl around pour it again in a cup. This time throw the cup away. We do this because the first cup still contains the core of the flavour the second cup is brighter as you can see whenever you make it and is basically not useful. So you are not wasting anything.

Add mint leaves in the pot; use a large amount of the leaves for that extra delicious mint flavour. Then add sugar, as much as you like. Pour the cup you left behind back in the pot and add more boiling water into the pot. Place the pot on the stove and boil it again until you see small foam bubbles. We do this to caramelize the sugar and this gives the Moroccan tea that special flavour!

Before serving pour the tea in a cup pour it back in the tea pot to mix all the ingredients. Pour then the tea high above the cup to get that special foam.

So many steps for that perfect Moroccan tea, enjoy it until the last drop!

Are your feet already tip toeing on the floor? Mine is! It is confirmed; music can make you feel good.

I want to share with you Loves my playlist. I’m still having a crush on the music from the 90’s until mid-2000. In particular to R&B, Rap, Hip Hop Arabic and Raï.

I’m not listening to music just because it is music. I know the lyrics from 2Pac – Changes out of my head. Same goes for Dear Mama. Day dreaming to slow jams is also typical me. Who doesn’t know the love songs from Usher, Ne-Yo and Keyshia Cole.

Raï music is very popular in Morocco and Algeria. Many Raï lovers find themselves with the lyrics. From social problems to politics to love; they sing about everything. Same goes with Arabic music.

These are my all-time favourites; enjoy Loves!

Carole Samaha – Khalik Bhehalek.
Keisha White – Weakness In Me.
Keyshia Cole – I Remember.
Cheb Khaled – Didi & Aisha.
2Pac – Changes & Dear Mama.
Usher – Burn.

Which one do you like and what is your playlist?

P.S. did you know I’m on Snapchat? SaidaSnaps.

It has been a while since you have heard from me Loves, I’m so sorry! The reason behind it is I don’t have the energy because I’m more focussing on Ramadan and my vacation. Who doesn’t know those days when you’re planning things and leave the things you love the most behind? Well, I’m guilty of that…

Nevertheless should it mean not to blog for almost two weeks! It’s all about planning and gosh I suck at it! (Any tips? They are truly welcome!)

Let’s get right into it!

I almost finished packing my suitcase. Although it was easy to take my whole closet with me, I had in the back of my mind the question: is it useful? As a fashion blogger you want to pile up your suitcase with ootd’s to shoot, no need to talk about the accessories!

When you are on the road (read: driving two days) you still want to look fresh, you don’t want to worry about your odour so a cute make-up bag comes in handy! Skip taking full sized products and stick with the travel ones. As in make-up taking mascara, BB-cream, blush and your favourite lip gloss or lipstick is more than enough. Besides you always can take more and put it your suitcase and in ‘’a worst case scenario’’ you can buy them during your holiday under the guise of exploring the country! Hihi…

You don’t want to get bored during your trip. It would be the perfect chance to read the book you had in mind or just to flip through a magazine. And what about writing your thoughts about your adventures?

I feel more excited now! Do you?

Not only is Argan Oil the liquid gold from Morocco, there is a lot more Moroccan beauty goodies to find! From left to right let me introduce you to Henna, Rose Water and Ghassoul Clay.

Most of you all know what Henna is. But what does it really do?

Applying on your hair makes you hair healthier. It grows your hair faster and gives you your shine back from heat damage and many hair colouring. Just like Argan oil Henna should also be used pure natural. Read the package or go to your local Moroccan/Islamic store to buy the real deal.
Are you worried that your hair will turn in orange? Don’t! It depends on your hair colour how it turns out. How darker you hair colour how darker it would be. How lighter your hair colour how lighter it would be.

Not only is Henna a goodie for your hair, who doesn’t know about the body henna tattoos? If you want that darker orange colour to stay on your body part, sleep a day with it on your body part and that’s it!

Rose Water is a flavoured water made by steeping rose petals in water. It can be used as perfume and as skin care. The benefits of Rose water are a blessing. You can use Rose water for puffy eyes, to soften dry skin, a make-up remover, apply it after you shave, it reduces the wrinkles progress, apply it when you have sunburns to ease the pain, as aromatherapy, use two cups of Rose Water to your bathwater to moisturize your skin and it tightens pores! It also can be used to freshen your face throughout the day as a spray mist. Perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer!

Rose Water is filled with ant-oxidants and various vitamins. I use it every night before I go to sleep to nourish my skin. It is anti-bacterial, perfect for my oily skin! And yes, it really does smell like roses!

Ghassoul Clay a Moroccan beauty goodie I recommend to everyone! Ghassoul Clay can only be find at the Atlas Mountains in the North Eastern of Morocco. This natural organic clay has many benefits like the other Moroccan beauty goodies.

Ghassoul is well known for absorbing impurities from skin and hair. It gives the skin and hair a highly minerals shot! For more than fourteen centuries it is used by Moroccan people. It is indispensable in many Moroccan Hammams and homes.

Ghassoul improves skin texture, reduces dryness, reduces flakiness, improves skin elasticity and improves skin clarity. Very impressive! Wait to know what it does for your hair.
Ghassoul can be used as natural shampoo and hair masker. It enhances the hair texture and volume, softens the hair and eliminates dandruff.

Ghassoul to me is a great stress reliever! I apply warm water with it and stir it up until it is a thick paste and use it as a face mask. I leave it like that for 20 to 30 minutes and when I rinse it off my skin has the glow of an instant boost! It removes the redness of skin which is amazing for acne. It removes dead skin cells, removes surface oil and oil from inside and around comedons/pores. A gem right?

Beauty | Argan Oil The Truth!

IMG_0827

Beauty lovers out there! You all have heared about Argan Oil right?

DON’T believe in the products that say it contains Argan Oil. Most of the products don’t have it! This is because the Argan Tree (Argania Spinosa) grows only on the South side of Morocco, it is very protected because of the effect that Argan oil has. Because of that many cosmetics companies are trying to get it in a other way or trying to reproduce it.

If you don’t use it pure don’t bother at all. In Morocco they call it liquid Moroccan Gold for a reason. So what does Argan oil exactly do?

IMG_0832

Skin:

Argan oil is most commonly used as a skin moisturiser to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, argan oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturiser. It is easy to use all over the body, including the face and neck. Simply smooth a few drops into your skin using gentle rubbing motions, as you would any face and body lotion.

It sounds crazy but if you have acne Argan oil is a very good remedy! Apply twice a week a little bit on your face and leave it like that during your day and shower afterwards or cleanse it of you feel instantly a soft skin! If you keep doing this for a long time your skin get healthier. This include for acne scars, stretch marks, dry skin, anti – aging and many more!

Hair:

Argan oil is proven to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. It is the ideal hair conditioner, and it can even help to treat split ends and tame frizzy hair. Due to its ability to tame frizz and give hair shine, argan oil is also commonly used as a styling agent. It makes hair more manageable and adds a healthy, attractive shine to any hair style. This is an ideal step to add to your daily routine after blow-drying. Rub a few drops of argan oil over your palms and then comb your fingers through your hair to apply.

I use it ALWAYS for my hair! After I shower I use little drops just to have the benefits listed above. Having problems with hair loss? Argan oil!

Foot, hand & nail treatment:

Argan oil’s softening properties are ideal for brittle nails, dry hands and cracked, hard skin on feet. It both moisturises and softens skin, leaving hands and feet supple and soft and nails strong and healthy. Try massaging a few drops of argan oil into cuticles, hands and feet before bed each night.

Lip Moisturiser:

Especially in cold or dry weather, lips can easily become sore, dry and cracked. Argan oil is the ideal product to ensure lips stay plump, soft and supple. Rub a drop or two into dry lips as a balm – but be sure to wipe off any excess.

I recommend Argan oil to everyone! All girls should have a bottle in there bathrooms! This is just of a glimpse of many benefits from Argan oil. Imagine what it could do if you use it in your food!

Do you want to purchase Argan oil, please go to your local Moroccan, Islamic food/convenience store. This is the only way to make yourself sure that you have the real deal. If you want to buy it online look for label that says 100% Argan oil. There is NO preservative products in pure Argan oil, if you read it on a label it’s not real. This also goes if it’s mixed with other cosmetic products. Argan oil is long maintainable.

I hope you like it loves!
