Collab | Beauty | By Dash Beauty.

NEWS FLASH: gather around mua’s and makeup lovers, its time to take notes! Meet vegan and cruelty free cosmetic brand By Dash Beauty, as their motto says: ‘’where beauty becomes magic’’ I couldn’t agree with it more. Say hello to high quality and pretty prices!

What I love about By Dash Beauty it is so feminine. If you look at their Instagram account, you’ll know what I mean. A feed with love for pink, shades of red and boss babes! When you want to see how the lip gloss colours or different eyelashes look like on a pretty face, you know where to go. From a classic red lip gloss to dramatic Betty Boop eyelashes to makeup accessories, to the perfect dress: it’s like a walk-in closet. Everything is right in front your eyes.

On my lips I used lipliner shade On Fire. Just to line my cupid arrow and the sides of my lips. I did not over line them, I don’t like an unnatural look. The pigment is so good, it does not smudge after hours. I love how it matches perfectly with the lip gloss I’m wearing. It’s called Flamingo and it looks exotic as it sounds. The shade gives me classic vibes, you never can go wrong with red coloured lips. The lip gloss contains shea butter and vitamin E, my lips stay moisturized during my day. A lip balm is not needed!

Are you also into cruelty free and vegan makeup?

Beauty | My Beauty Tools.

What I truly like about everything beauty, is the diversity you’ll find. There are many options available for your skin, you will find a product that suits you the best. From high end to drugstore to vegan to cruelty free to products for all skin types and colour. Thankfully beauty brands are very dynamic and changes a lot!

I don’t know about you guys, but I like to have items that I can use for a long time. If you had the opportunity to visit my room, you would find stuff I have for ages. My little brothers say that I have a store in my room, because I’m such a hoarder when it comes to reusable stuff. Or anything stuff…I’m just a person who takes care of her belongings. I believe I’m not the only one, after all we work for it.

If you are a everything beauty related addict like me, I would like to introduce you to my beauty must haves. First, I would like to start with a basic must have, makeup brushes. Having makeup brushes from good quality helps a lot with applying makeup. I like the brushes from Real Techniques, the hairs/bristles don’t come off and feel soft. When I apply my makeup with it, it goes smooth over my face and eyelids. I also like that they have written on the brushes what you can use the brushes for. Perfect for when you are a newbie in the makeup game. It also doesn’t cost much; it comes in sets. So, you have a couple of brushes that are worth your money. I have been using it for quite a while now and they are still in a good shape.

I have been thinking about my skincare routine a lot lately. As I’m getting older, I want to change or add products into my routine. When I was younger, I didn’t care much about skincare. Now I love to put a mask on, use vitamin c, eye serum and more! However, once in while or when I’m not too busy or tired, I like to use beauty tools for that extra bit of care. I’m hooked lately on my heart shaped rose quartz from H&M. I use it after my vitamin c serum, just to relax my muscles and for the blood circulation on my face and neck. I also love to put it in my refrigerator for that cold touch under my eye. The roller, also from H&M, I use it when I applied a sheet mask on my face. This way the ingredients of the sheet mask get absorbed through my skin. The tool with the rose quartz round vibrates. I namely use it on and around my eyes. During my day I wear contact lenses or glasses when I work behind a screen for 8 hours. Sometimes my eyes feel dry and irritated. So, I like to take care of them too. When I put a sheet mask on, I sometimes use a derma roller from Swiss Clinic on my jawline. Just to give my skin a boost and let it heal my acne scars, that I still suffer from due to PCOS. But that is a story for another day!

When I really want to pamper myself, I use the big guns. The light therapy device from Touch Beauty heats my skin gently and increases the production of collagen. It gives my complexion a youthful look. For those annoying and stubborn blackheads, I use Pore Perfection. The gentle suction helps to remove blackheads on my forehead, nose, and apple cheeks. When I’m finished my skin feels soft and has a natural glow. What I love about all the tools, is that it is easy and quick to use.

What is your beauty tool that I should try?

Beauty | My Favorite Perfumes This Season.

Perfume is next to bags and shoes my favorite obsession. My collection includes drugstore and high-end goodies, I don’t discriminate! I’m truly a fan of beautiful perfume bottles, they are so nice to look at, definitely eyecatchers. My obsession for perfume started at first with sweet girly scents. My preference was flower scented perfumes with a sweet touch. As I’m getting older and look further than my horizon, I tend to go for perfumes with a wooden undertone. This doesn’t mean I gave up sweet girly flower-scented perfumes. It’s more like I upgraded it to a more grown woman flower wooden scent. If you know what I mean? I also change my perfume like my wardrobe during the seasons. It’s like I’m adjusting it to my mood and weather. How colder the season, how warmer and sensual my perfume gets.

I don’t have a top 3/5/10 list because I like them all. However, I would like to start with Dior Pure Poison because it was for a long while on my mind to buy. My sister bought it for herself and I got hooked on it too.  It has a flower oriental scent, which makes the perfume feminine and sensual. It gives that warm feeling whenever you smell it. It also stays so long; you don’t smell it but the people around you will. So, don’t forget to shine because you’ll get random compliments during your day!

I received Perfect from Marc Jacobs from Glamour Magazine NL to review. I fell first in love with the bottle! It’s so pretty and cute. Even the story behind the name of the perfume is something that is amazing. Marc Jacobs got Perfect tattooed on his arm, to celebrate being perfect just the way he is and wanted to share with you all that you’re also perfect the way you are. What I love about the scent is that you smell the warmth of cedarwood, and it ends with a sweet finishing touch.

s.Oliver Black Label is yet again a flower scent perfume. However; it has an undertone scent of fruits. It starts first with the nuts from an orange, mandarin and a peach. After that comes the scent of flowers roses, jasmine and lilacs. It ends with the aroma from vanilla and musk. It’s just perfect, the feeling of warmth and sweetness in one! I also like the bottle; it looks simple and yet chic.

Chloe Nomade is the perfume I bought for myself for my birthday. As I have written in my blogpost, it became a tradition to buy perfume for my birthday. The bottle reminds me of the water bottle cowboys take with them when they ride their horses through the desert. The scent has a subtle flower and fruits scent. But the smell is not girly at all. It feels more like a warm day and out of the blue you feel a cold breeze. You know the smell is there, but it will surprise you how the smell changes when you smell it during your day.

Last but definitely not least, is L’Interdit by Givenchy. I fell in love with in since visiting Glamour Beauty Festival. It is also my first ‘’grown up’’ perfume. It is the first one I bought with more a wooden undertone. This one also stays long that you don’t need to spray much. L’Interdit means forbidden in French, it was created in 1957 by Hubert de Givenchy. It was made for Audrey Hepburn; she wore it for a year before its release to the public. She became also the first actress who got to be the face of a perfume. Now such a thing is indispensable, gorgeous actresses representing a perfume everywhere!

Event Report | Glamour NL Beauty Festival 2019.

It has been a while since I have been to the festival, but I’m still excited about it! It seems I have a every year turn back to this event policy. I liked it in 2018, 2019 and definitely got it this year on my planning.

The festival was powered by Zalando Beauty, which means a lot of new introductions of brands and their latest collections. Also, there were brands that was familiar to me and they showed their newest goodies. If you know me, I fall easily in love only by looking at their brand appearances. Yes, judging a book by its cover!  You can imagine I felt in my element. The venue was like last year at the Tropen Museum in Amsterdam and ladies: yellow and red marble with golden details everywhere! Perfect for shooting your pictures for Instagram. My influencer thoughts are speaking now, feel free to judge. Sorry not sorry!

There were stands of different brands showing their new collections and shared their latest news. You could experience the new product by looking, touching and by using their testers. There was also the possibility to buy products with a discount. Perfect for when you want to try something new! I also took a moment with my sister to pierce our ears. The stand was there, and my sister pushed me over the edge, I don’t regret it at all! I always wanted a second hole right next to my hole in my earlobe. I had that one since I was a kid and on my 30th I had the nerve to pierce a second hole.

You also could attend workshops about how to apply eye makeup, foundation and many more. There were masterclasses from Dutch influencers about how they use Instagram. I found my way already, but it was interesting to listen. I was impressed by the masterclass from power ladies who are leading ladies at their businesses. It was definitely a festival for beauty and brains!

During breaks you could buy healthy snacks and drinks. Or you could go and have fun at the beauty products grabbing machine and other fair like games. I got a makeup touch up by a makeup artist from NARS. The most important thing I did is having fun with my sister and a dear friend!

Beauty | My Top 3 High-End Make-Up Brands.

As a beauty fanatic I get butterflies in my stomach when I see beautiful makeup. I’m definitely a fan of attractive cases and packages. It’s like judging a book by its cover, with emphasis on judging. It’s like a kid in a candy store, like using lipstick as a little girl from your mother who said not too use it.

Let’s start with my number one, Chanel. From all the brands I used is Chanel definitely worth the prize. Everything is just perfect: the package, the quality, the structure and its non-chemical smell. The pigment has a good pigment and stays perfect during my day. Even when I don’t use it for a while, it ‘’doesn’t get old’’ like drying up. I also love the classic look. Black with a touch of gold and the white logo. So simple, yet so sophisticated.

The second brand on my list, Estee Lauder. I love the lipsticks of this brand. The pigment is perfect and goes smoothly over my lips. It’s also long lasting; I only do a touch up during my day. To see if I don’t have it on my teeth. Imagine smiling to your office crush with lipstick stains on your teeth, such horror! What I also like from this brand, is their beauty products. The Night Repair makes my skin soft and moisturize my skin perfectly. The Day Wear moisturizer gives a tint when you apply it. It’s like it melts into the shade of your own skin color when you use it. Quite impressive! I use it for a touch up or when I see dry places on my face to blend it in with the rest of my makeup.

Last but definitely not the least, Dior. J’adore Dior! To me this brand comes close to Chanel. Together with Chanel I call these brands the ‘’grownups brand.’’ The older I get, the more I treat myself with high-end quality products. Not that there is something wrong with drugstore brands, I’m an addict for those too! I mean it more as treating myself in a selfcare way. I’m obsessed with their perfumes; Dior Poison is my favorite. It has an oriental floral scent that makes you feel you’re wandering in Tokyo in a blossom forest. Like a fairytale! As you can see Loves, my color is pink red. I feel it comes close to my natural lip color. Even though I love makeup, I keep my daily makeup routine simple. When I do feel like let’s step it up a bit, I add eyeshadow and an eyeliner, a highlighter and instead of a BB cream I use a foundation. Writing about eyeshadow; a Dior eyeshadow palette is on my wish list. I know, I can’t help myself! Hihi…

What is your favorite high-end brand?

Beauty | My Favorite Nail Polish Colors This Season.

New season equals new colors! I love how the earth changes its color pallet during the seasons. It looks like that the world changes its ‘’home interior’’ to make you feel new and refreshing at home. This refreshing feeling, I also feel with changing my wardrobe from summer clothes to autumn and winter friendly clothes. The color changes from light to dark and vice versa. Same goes for my nail polishes. I tend to paint my nails in pastel or light colors during summer and during fall or winter, I tend to paint them with warm tones. Preferably in red pinkish shades.

On this picture I painted my nails in a dark orange/reddish shade. I love this color, because it reminds me of the color of leaves when they change during autumn. I got this one for quite a while and it is still perfect for use. The polish goes smoothly over my nails, perfect for a budget goodie!

As I mentioned before, I prefer red pinkish shades, like my lipsticks. The two reddish shades are my favorite red color for nail polish. One looks to me as warm sweet red, not too red not too pink. Right in the middle! Of course, there should be a classic red shade in my collection. It is like having a black blazer hanging in your closet. Or the perfect jeans that suits perfectly around your booty! Just unmissable.

If I want to change my red pinkish routine, I mostly use brown shades. It looks amazing on my small hands. To exaggerate for my sake, I paint my nails in a different color like the grey shade on the picture. Purely to get out of my comfort zone! Next day I mostly go back to red pinkish shades. What can I do…It’s a habit!

What are your favorite colors during the seasons?

Beauty | My Currently Favorite Makeup Products.

I just love when I buy makeup products that I truly use and not letting collecting dust on my shelves or vanity. I have been looking through my makeup collection and I noticed that I either use one brand the whole time. I even buy a new one if I almost finish it, while I have the same product just in another brand laying right next to it! It is quite a waste of money and we all have to know that some makeup products won’t last forever. When the expiration date is over, we need to accept it’s over! I know, it can be hard. We all have been to that point in our lives and I’m not only talking about makeup, if you know what I mean *kuch…kuch…that denim jeans we fitted before those extra pounds…kuch*, so time to step back, reflect and make better choices!

So, instead of running to Douglas to buy goodies that I already have, I went shopping into my own makeup collection. Since I saw the best Essence Cosmetics mascara budget mascara on Reddit, I’m hooked too! It does what it says, you feel like princess with your long eyelashes. I had my Bobbi Brown BB Cream in shade medium for a long time hiding in my makeup drawers. I did not think about it, until I caught myself buying the same BB Cream I use for ages. Time for a change! I’m so liking the Bobbi Brown BB Cream, it has such a good coverage for a BB Cream. I don’t even have to use a concealer to blemish my impurities. How great is that!

Dior, one of my favorite high-end brands. The quality is so good that you don’t need to use a lot for a perfect look. The lip balm moisturizes my lips very well and it leaves a sweet pinkish glow behind. Just Perfect! If I could let you smell Miss Dior perfume, I would Loves. It has a sweet yet wooden smell. A feminine scent with the good of two worlds, sweet and strong!

Makeup brushes, also a thing that I buy when I see one. It’s crazy how many I have. The only good thing about it, is having it back hand when I need to wash my brushes. Even though I have a lot they work very well. The ones from Primark is such a budget goodie! So why change a winning team, right Loves?

I have been looking for ages for the right peachy blush. It was quite a journey, I wanted the right shade. Whenever I thought I had it, I end up with a too orange pigment! Looking like an Oom-pah Loompa is not my intention to be. Glad I found it with the Coral Spectrum blush palette from Zoeva. It has a good pigment, a soft formula and not a chemical smell. The right things I need in makeup. Also, such a holy grail: Huda Beauty 3D highlight palette. I have the Pink Sands shades, the glow it gives is just amazing! To finish it off Loves, MAC Prep + Prime in Rose scented fix pray is such a good product that does what it needs to do: securing makeup all day long!

It was nice sharing with you my currently favs Loves, I’m curious about yours!

COLLAB |Beauty| Going Natural With Ziaja – Currently In My Shower!

Loves, I told you in my blogpost about my facial care products that I since I’m getting older, think more about which products I use. It is not like all of a sudden, I go vegan or ecofriendly. However, I do want to explore my options and maybe in the future I go all the way in. They say the older, the wiser, right!

Let me introduce you to mine currently in the shower goodies. I want to start off with the Argan & Tsubaki Oils hair products line from Ziaja. I know the brand for a while now and I love their products! Loves, this is a genuine collaboration as was the first one. Their products are based on natural products which equals to no skin irritations. Unless you are allergic to something, let me put this disclaimer right here! So, back to Argan & Tsubaki oils, sounds exotic right! Argan oil is the liquid gold from Morocco. Tsubaki oil is made from Japanese Camelia and Rise oil. The scent smells so good! Love it! I wish I could make you smell it trough your phones, tablets and desktops! The shampoo cleans not only my hair but my scalp too. It makes my hair feel soft and pliant and it restores my volume. On top of that, it contains no silicone and parabens. The hair mask of the line takes care of the hair without weighing it down. I felt it when I used it for the first time. The hair conditioner smoothing spray can be used on wet hair and dry hair. I like this because I apply it on the ends of my hair for that extra shine!

During showering I use Sukin foaming facial cleanser. It contains no chemicals at all! Their ‘’no list’’ contains no artificial colors, sulphates, parabens, silicones and many more. Without rinsing my face, I use an apricot scrub creme from Dutch drugstore Kruidvat. The apricot pits are grinded and mild to use for exfoliating dead skin cells. Sometimes I use a round facial brush with it, but not all the time. I love this scrub crème, it makes my skin feels soft and not tight, if you know what I mean Loves.

For my body I use Rituals Ritual Of Sakura. I love the smell of cherry blossom, it reminds me of spring and the trees look so beautiful! I like the luxury of their products, they look so chic! You really feel like you’re in a luxurious spa resort. It is also great to hear that they are trying to make their journey to greener practices. It makes me feel a little less guilty!

What kind of products are you currently using in your shower Loves?

Lifestyle | 10 Things I Can’t Live Without.

As I’m writing this blogpost, I’m feeling thankful. I do what I love on a laptop that I wanted and needed. Not only do I use it for my blogging, but also for my college. Making reports to writing blogposts and store pictures is just a glimpse of what I do on my laptop.

The next item I can’t live without, just like many Loves, is my phone. I got an iPhone 8+ and it works perfectly. It is just like my laptop, but in a small size. Again, I do everything with it. Post something on my social media to making notes.

Writing about notes, notebooks! You always will find one in my bag. They are perfect for writings and for to-dos. I also write my blog ideas in it, quick college notes and other scribbles. I am a hoarder when it comes to notebooks. When I see cute ones, I can’t resist to take it and put in the shopping basket. I have them in different shapes and sizes, it is truly like an addiction!

Drinking lots of water is such a struggle, I even forget it! Simply because I’m too busy during my day. To remind myself I got myself a water bottle, a sugar pink one that I put in my bag for on the go.

To relax and have me time after a hectic day, I light candles in my room. When I put the lights out and put a movie on or watch a series on Netflix I come to rest. My body goes instantly into the relaxing mode. I can watch good series or a movie for hours! On top of that, it suits my room decor perfectly.

As I’m writing this list, I have ended up with beauty related items. Wipes are definitely something I need in my bag. They come such in need when I just have eaten between my classes or I feel that my hands need a wipe.

I have to use hand cream after using wipes or washing my hands. My hands tend to feel taut and dry. So, I had to add it into my list! I feel so annoyed when I don’t find one in my bag that I let them in my bags for when I take another bag with me.

Same goes for lip gloss! I’m hooked on the ones from Dior. They are quite long lasting that I only apply it once or twice during my day. Even the glow fades away, I still feel my lips are well moisturized.

When I make myself ready to go, either to my classes or run errands, I have to use perfume. It turned into a habit for me. After using deodorant, I spray perfume on my neck, wrists and on my clothes and hair. I love how the scent pops up when you move during the day!

Jewellery is the last item on my list. If you know me well Loves, I love to add flair into an outfit. Jewellery adds that flair! I feel quite ‘’naked’’ when I forget to put earrings on or rings around my fingers. I just love how it looks on my hands and wrists!

What are your favourite items you can’t live without?

Event Report | Glamour Beauty Festival.

Last Sunday I went with my sister to the Glamour Magazine NL Beauty Festival. It was so amazing! My sister and me had a wonderful time, not only we spend quality time together but wandered trough a beauty heaven! They also chose the perfect location for it, marble and wooden, gold details everywhere. If you know me, you’ll know that I’m marble obsessed! So, imagine my feeling when I put my first step into the location. The fun part of it is, that I knew the location due to my studies. I paid more attention to the architecture than to the lecture, oops! Just by looking at the pictures I took, you would agree with me.

During the festival you could do many things like paint your nails, get a massage, do your hair and makeup! There were also many workshops, from skincare to food to men talk and brands stalls to inform you about their latest products. My sister and me did a lot, we almost forgot the time for the skincare masterclass. Oh, I’m forgetting fries! With pink mayonnaise! Seriously, pink!

There was a moneybox, where you go inside and have to catch a pink ticket while wind blows in the box. If you catch it, you’ll get a surprise gift. I felt like Charlie in the chocolate factory, my inner child woke up and I went in. I didn’t win, but it was fun to be in it!

My sister and I wandered through the stalls and informed ourselves about their products. I was curious about Moroccan oil, Cluse and Zadig & Voltaire. While I was at it, I got a touch up at the Givenchy stall. The makeup artist did so lovely that I took a selfie!

As I said, I attended a skincare masterclass. The speaker talked about all the ins and outs of skincare and it was good to hear the information. She talked about acne, preventing breakouts, natural products, chemical products and how important it is to use a day creme with SPF. She also answered a lot of questions and said that it is not scientifically proven that you get spots from eating chocolate. Good news right!

The main act was *drum rolls* Nikkie Tutorials with a live Q&A! She and her tutorials are pleasuring to look at. She gave honest answers and was down to earth. We also had a great laugh because during the Q&A she made jokes and references in which you will recognize yourself. Of course, she came all glammed up and it was so lovely. By the way, the rumours are true, she is tall!

It was such a fun day, I hope I can share my experience trough the pictures I took!

Beauty | Luxurious Lips.

When it comes to beauty products, I can get so excited just by looking at them! Most of the packages and casings have a luxurious appearance that I feel like a kid in a candy store. So much to choose from!

As you can see Loves, I prefer pink-red shades of lipsticks or glosses, because I believe that they match my skin tone. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it gives me a radiant look. They also come close to my natural lip colour especially the lip glosses. Perfect for a daily look!

I added new MAC Lipsticks into my MAC collection. It’s getting bigger and colourful! I even added a brown/wine red shaded one, a colour I normally won’t choose. I’m wearing on this picture MAC Liptensity lipstick in shade Eros. The pigment is so pigmented that I only used a bit, I put my lips together and it was all over my lips. I applied it then on the corners of my lips for a whole look.

Matt lipsticks does not have my preference, I prefer glossy ones. The ones that you can put easily on and remove quickly. I found that perfect one with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in shade #340 Envious. It goes so smoothly over my lips and it has the perfect red shade! I get a girly vibe when I apply Chanel Rouge Coco in shade #448 Elise. I have written a blogpost about it and I’m still in love with it. I mean, just looking at the Chanel logo makes me excited. Writing about being excited, I also had that feeling when I bought my first Yves Saint Laurent lipstick. I have chosen a sweet pink shade number 43. This sweet pink comes so close to my own lip colour that I don’t need to apply much.

Lip glosses are my ‘’on the road hero’s’’. Perfect for those days when you are in a rush and don’t have time to apply your makeup. Having one in my bag comes so handy! I apply it on my lips to distract it from my tired eyes. Or on my cheekbones for that quick glowy look.

Christian Dior is also a brand I fell in love it. They have such beautiful makeup that I couldn’t chose which beauty product I want. So, when I decided to buy a lipstick, I chose Rouge Dior Baume #568 in shade Rose Rose. It even smells like roses!

What is your perfect shade Loves?

Beauty | Oil My Hair Softly.

I have been on vacay to Morocco and I wouldn’t be from Moroccan origin if I don’t bring back oils. They can be used for anything, face, body and hair. Every Moroccan beauty queen swears by argan oil, the Moroccan liquid gold. Black seed oil for getting strong hair, rose oil for moisturizing your face and applying a drop on your hair for that sweet rose scented smell. Two birds in one stone!

As long as I can remember, oil belongs into my haircare routine. After I shower and let my hair dry for a bit, the first thing I do is use argan oil or blackseed oil on my hair. I have written a blogpost about argan oil and its benefits. I still swear by it because it is a truly holy grail when it comes to my hair.  Argan oil is proven to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. It is the ideal hair conditioner, and it can even help to treat split ends and tame frizzy hair. Due to its ability to tame frizz and give hair shine, argan oil is also commonly used as a styling agent. It makes hair more manageable and adds a healthy, attractive shine to any hair style. This is an ideal step to add to my daily routine after blow-drying or shower. I rub a few drops of argan oil over my palms and then comb my fingers through my hair.

Black seed oil is such a powerful oil, it truly does its wonders. It’s well known for its purifying benefits to clear acne prone skin. It nourishes the skin and within weeks your skin gets clearer! It smells like wet wood in a forest, at first its heavy and then its only leaving his nature vibe. A drop is more than enough, add it with your favourite conditioner for a quick hair mask boost or in your favourite facial creme for that natural healthy glow.

I use rose oil after I style my hair to get it shinier. It also gives my hair that perfect rose scented smell, like perfume. You also can use it as a bath oil to nourish you skin. It’s makes your body feel so soft! I sometimes use it on my hands and feet’s when I go to bed. It makes my skin softer and my cuticles are because of it, easier to manicure.

I cannot live without my oils! It’s truly rooted in my hair and facial routine. I remember when I was a child, that during my holiday in Morocco my aunts and niece comb my hair and use argan oil for my hair. Back home in the Netherlands my lovely mother would do the same. As a grown up I continue to do so and even pass it on my daughter!

Beauty Review | Sparkles In A Tube.

Highlighters in a tube are to me a great beauty invention! When I’m in a hurry I just grab one and put it in my bag without getting worried it gets broken or it opens in my bag and make a mess. Since it’s fluid I only use the tips of my fingers to apply it on my cheekbones, no brush needed. On top of that they are such eye candies! As you all know me Loves, I’m rose gold and simplicity obsessed.

The first thing I did is smell the product. I definitely buy with my nose and if makeup smells chemical I don’t buy it, no matter which brand it is. With these highlighter creams I am not worried about it. The first tube I swatched is called Pearl. I like this light-yellow highlighter a lot. When you apply it on your cheekbones and blend it with your fingertips you get an instant glow, it’s good pigmented. It even looks like that natural glow! Which is perfect for daily use.

The second highlighter cream is called Oyster Pink. I like this tube because it gives that shy glowy look, it suits perfect with my beauty look Sweetheart. This shade is also perfect for under your eyebrow to create an open look. On top of that, the tube has a perfect size, you can keep it in your bag for those quick touch up days.

Honestly Loves, I am impressed by these highlighter creams from Primark. Both are well pigmented and easy to use.

New In | Balmain X L’Oréal.

I was so in love with the Balmain X H&M collaboration that this match made in heaven with L’Oréal got me shook! I even pre-ordered it. When I got it, I was so curious about it that I opened it immediately! But, my first impression about it was: it looks good. Yes, just good. Even though from the outside it looks chic and edgy, just like all things from Balmain and I truly like that vibe. I suddenly felt a ‘’oh’’ feeling. The lipstick package felt fragile like, if I dropped it on the floor it would break. It even came with a small damage onto the cap so my hyped feeling slightly changed. But I learned don’t judge a book by its cover

When I opened it the first thing that you will notice is the smell. I loved it! As I told in my first impressions blogpost, I buy when it comes to makeup with my nose. Since I bought the lipstick online was the smell a pleasant surprise! The smell reminds me of autumn, a wood scent with a twist of a scent from lilies. It even sounds like a fairy-tale.

The lipstick comes with different shades and I couldn’t choose. The shades are so daring and so fierce! The opposite of me. I watched Balmain’s promo videos about it online, more than once and I still couldn’t decide. At one moment, I thought let me choose a shade that I wouldn’t chose easily. So, I chose Confession. It comes almost close to a nude shade and as you know me Loves, have I a love and hate relationship with nude colours. I am glad to find out, when I swatched it on my wrist that the shade has a peachy colour as a sub tone.

When I applied on my lips, the creamy lipstick went smoothly over them. The lipstick gives a matt effect which makes it long-lasting. I am happy to say that the lipstick has a place between my MAC Collection and high end favourite Chanel lippie!

Which shade from the collection would you chose Loves?

Beauty Review | Chanel #488 Elise.

After my MAC Cosmetics lipstick collection, I got the hang of buying high-end makeup that I caught my eyes on Chanel. Chanel is after Elie Saab my favourite brand. Chanel stands for me, as chic and timeless beauty. I chose for Rouge Coco lippie in shade #448 Elise. I don’t know about you loves, but I automatically speak with a fake France accent when I pronounce Elise. Since it’s an attack on my wallet, can we enjoy it with our noses up? I don’t judge!

The outside package looks like typical Chanel. Black with golden lettered details. I always liked that colour combination. When you open it, you’ll get that tingling feeling that we all know. Like when you open presents during Christmas, or in my case, during Eid. The first thing you see is the usual white Chanel logo on top of the lipstick cap. You also can see the logo in the inside of the cap, which is black. The lipstick is surrounded with a golden sheath. I like how a simple looking thing can have a chic appearance.

I hope that I’m not the only one who says that I also buy with my nose. It is kind of habit to smell makeup before I buy it. Chanel past the odour test! The smell can be the best described as the scent of dried rose petals. The lippie has Chanel stamped on it, I like this detail. I was at first a bit sceptical about the colour. I have a love hate relationship when it comes to colour pink. I hate the colour Barbie pink and pale pink, but I like the shades between them. Does it make sense? Anyway, I like it turned out well! Definitely my favourite lippie at the moment.

It went smoothly over my lips when I applied it. I felt instantly the hydration, it lived right up on my lips. Same goes when I swatched it on my wrist. The pigment is so great and long lasting! The shade also surprised me. It has a small amount of glitter, perfect for that last extra sparkle.

Note To Loves | MAC Lipstick Three-Versary Giveaway! ENDED.

I reached a new milestone: three years of blogging! Writing this sentence makes me feel so excited and most of all blessed. As a blogger, I felt many emotions during my blogging path. I struggled with writer’s block, months I couldn’t write! My fingers wanted to type but my mind was holding me back from what I love to do. Those months I felt insecure about my blog and asked myself many times: should I pull the plug? I struggled with lack of inspiration and motivation, how many outfits I should post? How many beauty looks? Does my readers like what I’m doing? So many questions holding me back from getting inspired to be motivated to write for my blog again.

However, when I do hit publish I get such a satisfying feeling. A feeling of perfectionism that is accomplished because there comes more to look than just hitting the publish button. English is not my native language. So, I must translate some words that I don’t know how to spell or I know the word in Dutch and Moroccan Arabic but not in English. I run through the spellcheck three times or even more! And on top of that I read my blogpost out loud to hear whether the sentence structure is good. So far, I did my very best and sometimes even when I hit publish I make small changes. When I do this, I sometimes blame myself by saying how couldn’t I have notice this spelling mistake? This cloud of perfectionism hangs on top of my head. Thank god after rain comes sunshine!

Speaking about perfection: making the perfect picture. I love taking pictures for my blog. I come in such ease when I combine colours and range the products. Using the right décor to add some flair into the pictures makes to me the perfect picture.

I am glad to say, with a smile on my face that I wouldn’t change anything about my blogging love. I appreciate my struggles. It makes me who I am: a girl that loves to blog.

Beauty | My MAC Collection.

Today I’ll be showing you Loves my MAC collection: so far. I remember when I bought my first MAC. I felt like a kid in a candy store, I couldn’t choose! I wanted them all. I fell in love with the sweet pink highlight. It suits my skin tone very well, it gives me that healthy glow. The pigment is so good that you don’t need much. A strobe or two and you are good to go.

After the Soft & Gentle highlighter came my first MAC lipstick. I was wandering across the MAC counter and I saw so many lipstick colours! Yet again I couldn’t choose so I looked at the names. Many caught my eyes, but this one the most. Fresh Moroccan! Of course, I felt that cheesy connection as a Moroccan. It was also autumn when I bought it, the deep brown/red-ish colour is such an autumn colour. It reminded me visiting Morocco during winter. When I was walking around like a tourist in my own hometown. So, bohemian! This Frost lipstick has a bit of a matt finish. It also has a bit of shimmer, but when I applied it on my lips it gave that chic feminine touch instead of that ‘’glitter girl’’ vibe. I like it so much!

Since I had the hang of it, my choice of getting more MAC items was easy made. Oh, Darling golden highlighter was the third beauty I bought. It truly has that extra dimension skin finish! Yet again the pigment is so great, it gives me that golden glowy look. Like I’m in love! When you apply it on the right places of your face, it accentuates the strong parts of your face that you love. Perfect with a contour.

The third lipstick I bought was Lady Bug. Not only is it a cute name, this Lustre lipstick goes so smooth over my lips whenever I apply it. I also wanted a red shade colour, but not too red. Lady Bug is perfect. Since it was sale on the MAC Cosmetics at that moment, I also put Captive in my shopping cart. Shamelessly. I wanted a shade that I can use daily and I found it in this Satin lipstick.

What I like about MAC is that is has a good quality for the price you pay for it. I also like that even though the packages are simply black, it has a classic look. The forming of the lipsticks reminds me of bullets. Certainly, they are killer items!

Beauty | Winter Love.

img_5141

Winter comes almost to his end and I’m not complaining. The weather in the Netherlands is quite crazy, just a week ago, there was snow and now it is vanished like a ghost. Winter doesn’t do good to my body and skin. Sometimes I feel like a hamster with sandpaper hands and knees that prepares itself for hibernation. To make it easier for me I used these lovely goodies, they were such a great help during this winter!

img_5145

I want to start with my UGG Australia boots and gloves, you either hate or love this brand. To me they are the perfect fashion items to wear during the cold, so warm and cosy! During the cold I, really don’t care if I would look like an Eskimo, they look good to me! Whenever I use Ziaja Coconut Hand Cream they stay extra moisturized when I put my hands in the gloves. I really like the smell and texture of their creams. Since my collaboration with Ziaja I use their Manuka Tree Cream daily. It smooths my facial skin just perfect!

img_5146

My skin tens to dryness during winter. Especially on my elbows, knees, heels and ankles. It feels so annoying! I’m glad I found my holy grail with Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Oil. The shea butter and warm vanilla makes my skin moisturized for a while, it nourishes perfectly right after a shower. What I love about this one is it is non-greasy and it feels light on my skin. Same goes for The Raspberry Kiss from Treacle Moon. I use it on places on my body that needs extra moisturizing. I love the cute little texts on the package and the smell. It smells like forest fruit ice cream, instant summer feeling!

Chap sticks! Oh my, can’t live without them. I have them everywhere! From two in my bag to three on my desk and on my nightstand. I always use them before I go to sleep or I must run for small errands. They are useful but then again I always get them lost. Who is familiar with this too Loves?

Since the sun only comes when it wants too, am I glad that we can get the sun in a ‘’package.’’ I apply it only on sun kissed places like my cheekbones, the sides of my forehead like a contour, the tip of my nose and chin. All for all, I’m glad that spring is right around the corner!

Beauty | Bad Impressions. #1

img_4322

I normally don’t get many bad impressions when it comes to buying new makeup. I mostly use the same products, when I need new ones I stick mostly with the products I am familiar with but I wouldn’t be a beauty addict if I didn’t try out other brands. That’s why I loved receiving the Style Tone Boxes. In the future I, will try other beauty boxes out!

Before I start Loves, I have a little disclaimer about the products that I don’t like. It doesn’t mean it is a bad brand, I can be in love with other products from the same brand I just got a product I didn’t like due to scent, pigment etc.

img_4324

Let me start first with Aveda Stress Fix Soaking Salts. I got it from a goodie bag at the Glamour Magazine Fashion – Vintage Live Event. At first I liked it. It has a lavender scent and lavender is well known as a stress relieving aroma. It got my attention, everybody has their own moments of stress and taking a tub can be indeed relieving but when I used it, I didn’t like the scent anymore! It turned into a lavender chemical ‘’smelly bomb’’ it hit me literally out of the blue and on top of it my skin stayed oily. When I rinsed it of the salts left oily residue behind. I like lavender but I don’t want the be a walking sticky lavender plant!

I love the beauty products from Max Factor, too bad I stumbled on a bad one. The package looks simple yet chic, I like the colour combination black and gold! When I first used it, the first thing I noticed is the scent. It was so harsh and too chemical! It smelled bad. Even so, I thought let me give it a try. It was too pink for my skin tone and the pigment made my facial skin look dry while it wasn’t.

img_4327

When I have breakouts, I want immediately them gone. To me the most effective way is to dry them out and after that moisturizing it. I thought I found with Garnier Pure Active my holy grail but no it wasn’t. The smell was too chemical. Not ideal if you smear it on your face. It doesn’t work at all and it made my facial skin not moisturized like it supposed to be.

I use my favourite concealer daily and I wanted to give it a rest and try another one out. I shouldn’t have done it! The concealer from H&M was too pale for my skin tone, even If I wanted to fix it by applying a sun kissed bronzer or compact powder it didn’t help. This was a typical ‘’stick with what you know moment.’’ Never again!

img_4330

I am not a frequent nail polish user but I was a bit hyped about the OPI nail polishes. Just a week later from when I purchased it I saw it dried out. Shaking it and pouring a bit of nail polish remover in it didn’t even work. I threw it away and it felt like I threw money into the garbage can…Literally!

I found in some budget products truly loveable products that they deserve more than the price you purchased it for and then some products I can understand why they are budget. The lipstick from Cien was just a bad colour, it didn’t suit me. In my opinion. Max&More has many good products but their lip glosses are bad. Not good pigmented at all and the scent smells like it is too old for usage. The brown bronzer was too dark for my skin tone. Whenever I used it to contour my face it stayed like dark spots, more like shadows on my face even though I blend the hell out of it! The anti-redness concealer was also to pale for my skin tone. The only thing good about it is it reduces indeed my redness but it changed me into a minty ghost. Too pale!

img_4331

I think that in the future I don’t purchase these products again but it doesn’t mean I’m not purchasing nothing from the brand at all. That is the beauty of cosmetics, every beauty brands have its wide range of beauty assortment and I as a beauty addict will always get my shot!

Beauty Review | Cheeky Highlights!

img_4437

Since I’m having the hang of it, from contouring and highlighting I’m getting more confident in it and that includes buying makeup. I notice that when I’m going to shop or go for some errands I always end up in a makeup aisle to look for that eye-catching item that I honestly don’t need. We all have been there right!

img_4439

I had that moment when I was looking for a highlighter that is budget and good pigmented to use daily instead of my MAC Soft & Gently highlighter. I end up with budget brand goodies; Essence Strobing Highlighter in shade #10 Let It Glow and Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder in shade #010 Light Infusion. Both packages are what you are used from the brands: ordinary and minimal. Essence has a more pinkish colour that comes close to my MAC but the pigment doesn’t come close to MAC. You don’t even see it when I swatched it on my wrist and that is okay because I don’t need to look too glowy for a daily look. The pigment from the Catrice highlighter is a bit better then Essence. This shade is perfect for daily use. The shade is pearly and that gives a more natural look, just like that summer glow we all know and want.

img_4452

img_4450

When I don’t want to use my MAC highlighter for a more covered look, like for Moroccan wedding or other parties as in for the upcoming holidays I can use another beauty! The Sleek Makeup Precious Metals in shade #029 is just heaven on your cheeks! The pigment is so great and it stays long! Even with the swatch I made on my wrist it was not easy to wipe it off. This palette has four shades: Platinum for your browbone, Antique Bronze for your cheekbones, Royal Gold for the bridge of your nose and finally Renaissance Gold for cupid’s arrow which is the little small hills on your upper lip. Heck, you can even use it on your body! Think about a slightly touch of the highlighter on your collarbones. Beautiful!

img_4441

I am very excited about all three of them. Because of the number of highlighters, I have now I can experiment safely with a peace of mind!

New In | Unboxing Love #1

img_4357

I was always curious about beauty boxes and looked online for information about them, at first I was sceptical because I want to have value of my money. I rather pay a bit much for full sized products then travel sizes so I ended my research when I found Style Tone. The reviews about this beauty box were laudatory so I wanted to try it too. I chose a three-month subscription for €35.00 and I don’t regret it!

I received my first box this month (September). I felt like beauty addict who needed a beauty shot!

img_4364

img_4365

I received a blush pen from Ellis Faas. That’s quite unique! A blush pallet that looks like a pen. In the mini magazine that comes with the box says about the blush pen that it gives your make-up look a dewy finish and a long lasting glow. Sounds good! The second product I took from the box is a Pore Qualifying Mineral Detox Mask from Figs & Rouge. The mask eliminates impurities and draws out excess oils for a clearer healthy complexion. As you all know me Loves I have an oily skin so I am very curious about this beauty goodie.

img_4369

Ladies you cannot have enough nail polishes, Style Tone must think that too because I received a feminine red colour from Emité in the box and I like it! What I also snooped out the box is a mono eyeshadow from Note. I got in a dark purple shade which made me shudder because I’m not used to dark colours as eyeshadow, then again for everything is a first. The next thing I received is a Eyerule No 3 Volumizing Curling Mascara from Ace Of Face. I was instantly impressed by the eye brush because it has a small top and I prefer that more over others because of my small eyes.

I can even enjoy it more because all products from the Style Tone box are cruelty free. Whoop!

img_4372

On television I saw a commercial about Girls Bag. It is a bag full of full sized products that every girl needs. Even though the target group are mostly teenage girls it didn’t hold me to try one out too! It came in a box but the reasoning behind it is the tote pineapple bag full of goodies. This bag contains not only beauty products but also healthy snacks. Nice!

img_4374

img_4376

The goodies you’ll get with the bag are; Rimmel London Volume Colourist Mascara, Herōme Trio W.I.C. Nail Polish set. Oelala! Maybelline Balm & Blush, SmoovAll Skin Contact Spray, Vogue Perfume Deodorant Butterfly and BioFreeze+ Gel. I am very impressed about the amount of beauty products! The price I paid for the bag is €19.90 and only the beauty goodies in it have more value than the asking price!

img_4377

Here comes the food part Loves; Nãkd Bar Cashew Cookie, JustNuts The Alarm Clock Bar, Katja Candy and Tranquini Drinks in the taste Regular and Jade. The snacks tasted good but the drinks….

The last goodies I received are an Boho Chique Bracelet and many vouchers. Amazing!

Beauty Review | Brush or Sponge?

IMG_4224

Brush or sponge? The new phenomenon in the beauty world and I tried it out to share it with you Loves. When I first saw it the first thing that came into my mind is ‘’well, that’s interesting.’’ The second thing that came into my mind is: ‘’quite expensive!’’ I just wanted to try one out so I began my search. I stumbled on the online store called Wish, you probably heard about it. It takes a while before you receive it but then again I paid only two euros for it. So, if I don’t get it in the end I won’t make a fuss about it.

IMG_4227

IMG_4238

I did receive it and I was curious from the moment I opened it! I truly thought while seeing YouTube videos about it that it is a sponge because of the coverage. It turned out that the hairs of the make-up brush are so close together that it looks like a sponge. The brush has a small difference than other brushes you are familiar with; the hairs are thicker. The brush also comes in different sizes and I chose the small one.

IMG_4229

IMG_4239

When I applied it on my face I felt a soft feeling that you mostly feel when you use a normal foundation brush. Even though I used a little dot of foundation it covered my face just the way I like it, a bit natural. Since I have it, it is easy maintainable. I removed the excess foundation with a face wipe and it cleaned easily. Imagine when you use a make-up brushes cleaner!

IMG_4226

I must say that it is a perfect tool to apply foundation with but I do want to add that it is not different then a normal foundation brush, the hairs are only thicker and that’s it. If you want to try one out I recommend a cheap one first just because they do the same work as a normal one. You would think that the oval form of the brush will make it easier to contour your face or go smoothly over your face because of our natural face structure but, trust me it doesn’t change a lot.

I can say now that I tried one out though!

Beauty | What Is In My Make-Up Bag?

IMG_3481

Let’s get nosy today! We are all guilty of taking a bag in a bag, right ladies? Today I’ll let you snoop in my make-up bag. Let’s imagine each other powdering our noses with the goodies from our pouches.

The bag is from Christian Dior. It is my all-time favourite make-up bag, I have it for ages. I fell naturally for the navy blue and silver colour. The pattern on the silver part of the bag are little lady faces. There is also written lady everywhere on it. Very ladylike!

IMG_3483

In my bag you can find my pocket brush. I use it mostly on rainy days to comb all of my hair or only the tail to maintain my wet hair. A make-up bag is nothing without a pocket mirror, that’s why I have two. It comes in handy when I want to use my Essence Oil Control Paper. I have an oily skin and during my day I don’t want to look like a glowing ball. The paper helps me to tone it down. What you also can find is a small jar with gel in it to tame my fly away. This little jar you can find it with the package of refill bottles that you take when you travel. I used a teaspoon to scoop the gel in it. If gel is not going to work I can use my hairclips. Perfect tools for a bad hair day!

IMG_3485

The pocket deodorant is from Odorex. I like the smell Jasmin and cotton oil. It is also alcohol free so it does not dry my skin out. Next to it you can see my hand sanitizer and then my flamingo tweezer to remove unwanted hair. What you also can find is Ibuprofen for when a headache emerges.

Here comes the beauty part; mascara: that is the beauty of having a lot of them; I can always put one in it without looking back. Same goes for my blush and eye pencils. I always use it to have an open look and sun kissed cheeks. Every once in a while I change the lip gloss or lipstick in a different colour but the lip balm remains the same, unless I have to change it because of hygiene. This counts for all the products.

Can I snoop in yours Loves?

Beauty Review | From Coral To Last Tango.

IMG_3000

IMG_3001

Is it just me or does lipsticks give you a good feeling whenever you use it on your lips or see it collecting dust on your vanity? Which woman doesn’t have at least one or thousand lipsticks from all the colours in the world? Or who doesn’t buy every single time the colour that suits perfectly on you and want to try another shade but you end up with the first one? Believe me when I say you are not alone. I salute you!

I have this with the colour fuchsia and only with the dark pink ‘’red-ish’’ shade. Whenever I use this lipstick colour on my lips I feel instantly more feminine, like fierce.

IMG_3004

IMG_3005

So I wandered in the make-up isle of my local drugstore and took these candies into the shopping basket. I love the cute and chic look from Essence lipsticks! You would think that a budget brand will not do his work like a high end product but oh boy you would think twice if you try Essence. I have nothing but good experiences with the brand.

Same goes with the make-up from H&M and I’m even not writing about my thoughts on the packaging. Love it!

IMG_3003

Talking about lipstick colours, I have mixed feelings about the colour nude. It is always attractive for me to buy one. It reminds me of Kylie Jenner because it looks so good on her! Secretly I want it to look good on me too but always end up with a fuchsia one.

Which fav colour do you have Loves?

Beauty Review | French Look Rose.

IMG_2717

IMG_2718

IMG_2719

I am surprised! My local grocery store sells make-up. The place where I thought they sell only groceries has a small beauty display. At first they only sold a small amount of beauty products like perfume, cotton swabs and pads, deodorant and bath/shower products. I used them once and I felt that these products are too harsh for my skin and hair. But I’m truly impressed by their make-up!

These products are very low budget but worth your money. I tried this French manicure nail polish from the brand Cien the brand from Lidl. When I tried the first try of painting my nails; the first thing that came on my mind is: this is not so bad at all!

The first try is perfectly fine if you want that natural French manicure look. I let it dry for a bit and put a second layer on my nails because I wanted a full coverage instead of see a through look, if you know what I mean?

I’m happy with the results! Do you? I’m going to keep Cien in my mind for probably a low budget look VS high-end look which is written on my beauty list.

To be continued Loves!

Beauty Review | Pink Nudes.

IMG_2449

As I said in my Touch Of Gold make-up look I’ve been wandering through my make-up stash. Since I started blogging I feel I purchase a lot of new beauty goodies to use for reviews and new looks. I have to put a hold on myself and my wallet and use the goodies I already have. I don’t want to throw the half away just because it is expired. That would be a waste right Loves?

I am already impressed by the new beauty department of H&M and over the clothing even more. The pigment of this eyeshadow palette is just perfect. Even the white one can you see very well. The light soft pink surprised me too. I thought you would not see the difference between white but the glow of the light soft pink is quite good to see. Imagine when you combine it with the other colours for a beautiful look.

Pink, I’m thinking i’m growing a new obsession on that colour…

What do you think about this eyeshadow palette Loves?

IMG_1805

Ever since I did a review about Essence Lipstick (Cuteness Overload!) my obsession on lipstick started to grow. I have quite a stash now and I’m happy to add Calvin Klein to my collection!

It has a great pigment and the colour stays quite long on your lips. The lipstick itself has a chic look, it looks great on your vanity table!

In the beginning I was searching for the colours that suits mine skin tone and I must say it was quite a journey! Maybe it is me but I’m not waiting on a colour that makes me look sick because it does not do my skin tone right neither I want to make my teeth look yellow, who wants that?

I’ve noticed that any red, darker shades of pink lipstick colours suits perfect with my skin tone! My favourite Calvin is in fact the shade Venus.

I probably will add more Calvin’s to my collection and I recommend it to any lipstick lover, so move over MAC! Calvin is entering many vanity tables! Or you can take them both…Hihi

Beauty Tip | My Facial Care, My Routine.

IMG_1453

IMG_1454

IMG_1459

IMG_1457

Facial care is very import to me, I suffer from acne. Who else too? In my puberty I suffered from it a lot! Thank god every now and then some pops on my yaw line and cheeks. Let me spare you the details but please do let me know if you want to know how I have threaten my acne!

To spare my face from many break outs I treat my face with care! It slowly turned an obsession to me to have a clean clear skin.

I start my routine as, every morning I wash my face with lukewarm water. Dry it then off with a face towel then I smear my face with a skin purifying day and night crème from Kruidvat. This face cream contains Tea Tree Oil to reduce impurities. It also has Allantion and Camomile extract, for a soothing effect. I apply then my make-up and sometimes I don’t.

When de day is over I wash my face again, then I exfoliate with Odina Visage Peeling Crème. Sometime I use my Ayvo facial cleanser, mostly once/twice a week otherwise I use my facial natural sponge. Because exfoliating your face every day is a beauty don’t, doing it once/twice a week is perfect! I put my face crème on and I’m good during my night!

Before I go to sleep I use my rosewater to remove the last things off my face. Yes, even my crème! I prefer to sleep with nothing on my face. Rosewater nourishes my skin. It is anti-bacterial, perfect for my oily skin! Read more about it here.

Tip! Use a small towel only for your face! Instead of wipe, dab your face! Treat your face gently.
Tip! Never sleep with make-up on! Tired of your routine? Facial wipes works too.

What is your routine?

Beauty Review | You Make Me Wanna’ Blush!

IMG_1372 IMG_1373 IMG_1376 IMG_1377

The sun shines, many colourful pops of clothing on the streets, everybody looks at their best…And a blush comes in handy!

Beauty comes is many colours and sizes and we should embrace it! Cute blushing cheeks are not only adorable but also trending this summer.

In my make-up routine I use a blush regularly. It adds the complete touch of my look. In the winter season I mostly prefer a sun kissed brown blush for a healthy look. In the spring and summer season pink and peach coloured blushes are my favourite!

Many Loves ask me what the best way is to apply a blush. I always say: there are many ways and I’m not a professional make-up artist. I’m just a girl who likes make-up! The way I do it is from the apples of your cheeks until the half way of the end of my cheekbones. Blush should be used for an adorable blushing not like stripes until your ears like you are in the army! Such a blush don’t.

What is your best way?

Beauty Review | Essence Lipstick Cuteness Overload!

IMG_0859 IMG_0860 IMG_0862 IMG_0864

I am obsessed with lipstick….Since a month! I am a daily lipgloss user but now I can combine it with lipstick. The reason why I prefer lipgloss is that it is easy to apply, no lipgloss marks on your teeth! Because of the gloss it stays longer on your lips and you can apply it very quick without looking in a mirror! Using a lipstick gives you a lot more of work don’t you think? To me I have to look if I don’t apply it like a clown, imagine you giving a big smile to the cute guy you just past by, seeing yourself in a window with lipstick marks on you teeth! Well….I just describe a movie scene but you know what I mean…

I did not want to spend a lot of money on a expensive lipstick like MAC especially I know from myself that I am not going to use it a lot like lipgloss. I saw many Dutch beautybloggers reviewing Essence lipstick and they were were positive about it so I tought why not buy one to see for myself? And I did! They are right it’s a amazing budgetkiller! I love the pigment, it stays long on your lips and the Essence logo on the lipstick is a cute touch!

I am thinking to put my lipglosses on the hold and start using more lipstick…!

P.s. Do you also have the elegant feeling when you put lipstick on? When you make that kissing sound after you apply it…? Well at least I do!
