Event Report | Glamour NL Beauty Festival 2019.

It has been a while since I have been to the festival, but I’m still excited about it! It seems I have a every year turn back to this event policy. I liked it in 2018, 2019 and definitely got it this year on my planning.

The festival was powered by Zalando Beauty, which means a lot of new introductions of brands and their latest collections. Also, there were brands that was familiar to me and they showed their newest goodies. If you know me, I fall easily in love only by looking at their brand appearances. Yes, judging a book by its cover!  You can imagine I felt in my element. The venue was like last year at the Tropen Museum in Amsterdam and ladies: yellow and red marble with golden details everywhere! Perfect for shooting your pictures for Instagram. My influencer thoughts are speaking now, feel free to judge. Sorry not sorry!

There were stands of different brands showing their new collections and shared their latest news. You could experience the new product by looking, touching and by using their testers. There was also the possibility to buy products with a discount. Perfect for when you want to try something new! I also took a moment with my sister to pierce our ears. The stand was there, and my sister pushed me over the edge, I don’t regret it at all! I always wanted a second hole right next to my hole in my earlobe. I had that one since I was a kid and on my 30th I had the nerve to pierce a second hole.

You also could attend workshops about how to apply eye makeup, foundation and many more. There were masterclasses from Dutch influencers about how they use Instagram. I found my way already, but it was interesting to listen. I was impressed by the masterclass from power ladies who are leading ladies at their businesses. It was definitely a festival for beauty and brains!

During breaks you could buy healthy snacks and drinks. Or you could go and have fun at the beauty products grabbing machine and other fair like games. I got a makeup touch up by a makeup artist from NARS. The most important thing I did is having fun with my sister and a dear friend!

Glamour Beauty Festival 2019 was this year a fact. I went last year and had so much fun then, that I went for the second time. I’ll keep you posted about it in a new blogpost about it so, to be continued.

I’m not a person who has a week of outfits hanging on a clothing rack. I dress myself in the morning based on how I feel. Sometimes I go for comfy and sometimes I like to play dress up. Playing dress up was my mood that day, I woke up exciting about the beauty festival. What came first in my mind, was a hairclip. I wanted to put my pearl hairclips in my hair to add some flair into my hairstyle.

Something black was my second thought. I bought a while ago the flared jeans from Zara and I love how comfy it fits. I also love that it has the right width as flare. Not too wide, not too big. Perfect for showing just the tip of my pointy black boots. I wore with it a blossom printed blouse also in black. But the small flowers compensate all the black. On top of my blazer I wore a sleeveless faux fur coat. It’s such a fashion must-have this season and I have it for years. So, investing in a good faux fur coat is just perfect, it never goes out of style. I chose my bag as an eyecatcher. I just love how luxurious it looks!

Luxury means also to me a classic red lipstick. I went for a touch up at the NARS stand and the makeup artist was such a lovely lady. She asked me what kind of color I wanted and talked to me about the shape of my lips. With this simple touch up, I felt beautiful the whole day!
