New In | Rose Gold Beauty.

IMG_2527

Since the day before yesterday I’m a proud owner of the iPhone 6s Rose Gold! It feels soooo new, so fresh, and so clean! The colour Rose Gold looks so cute like a little puppy! Truly an apple of my eye! Ha…Get it? Apple…Hihi.

As you can read I’m a bit obsessed about it. Then again who wouldn’t? It runs so fast and comes with great features like 3D Touch and Live Photo’s. As a blogger the megapixel of a camera is quite important. What we all do for that Instagrammin’ Tweetin’ Snapchatin’ Facebookin’ perfect picture! So, I’m a major fan of their improved camera.

Whenever I got a new phone, due to extend phone subscription I want to personalize it asap. The first thing I do is order the apps Apple already has on it. Then I download my favourite apps and wander through google images for that perfect wallpaper. Mine is a sketch from Elie Saab.

I must say that I don’t like the 16GB I have on it. It should not be a choice to choose from 64GB, 128GB. Nowadays you just use a lot of storage. To me it is not a major problem, I just have to adjust but I understand for others it could.

Tell me Loves, any ideas for phone covers?

Ps. I reached a new milestone on Twitter, 1K followers! Yay! Do you follow me on it?

Leren Connor, she surprised me again! Her artistic expression I can see again in her festival collection. Her originality and attention to detail proves to be her trademark which I truly appreciate. When I see this collection the first thing that comes to my mind is happiness. The typical festival mood laid back and relaxed. Skirts from strips of fabric, tulle and crop tops anything goes!

”Over the last few months, Leren Connor and the team have taken a dramatic turn on the route to achieving their goals through the fashion industry and now the Festival scene.

This year LerenHQ Has spent a lot of time getting to know the Comic Convention industry which has also enticed the start of costume design through both Leren Connor and GYGO (get your geek on) the sister brand. Taking a step back from usual routine and embarking on a new path this small independent label has been making some big steps in all the right places.

So much has changed and due to this the team is thoroughly excited about the next year to come. Back in 2012 Leren attended her 1st Festival “Wilderness” as a trader, from this the team has been eager to get stuck in with the festival scene, this year it happened. At the end of August this label travelled down south to attend Into the Wild Festival, with the designs selling like hot cakes Leren is even more determined to get the Festival wear out there. Festivals are a great way to express costume design as well which is why it will also be a great marketing place for GYGO the sister brand which specializes in geek wear and costume design.

Her hold on environmentally friendly design also applies to this collection and that makes it yet again unique. You can see that she loves what she makes and it also radiates from her collections.

The growth she is experiencing is noticed. Hard work really pays off. Her devotion will bring her to high places that she deserves. We will hear from her again!

Do you love this collection as much as I do?

Having good beauty products is half the work of what comes looking with beauty. Not only the right tools but also what should not be missing in your vanity. The basic is truly what matters. Leastwise, it is a good start for making my work easy.

Let me show you Loves what my favourites are.

IMG_1832

Good mascara and eyeliners I cannot live without. These two are truly the ones I just buy every month even though I don’t need them. I have a bit of a ‘’bad habit’’ when it comes too mascara. I’m always trying and searching for the right brush. And I must say the small brushes of mascara works perfect for my small eyelashes.

A brown blush, in particularly a shimmer one for that Summer glowy look. I cannot get enough of it either. Who doesn’t want Summer all year?

IMG_1835

IMG_1836

I think that perfume is every woman’s guilty pleasure. Just the bottles are candy’s to look at. I’m a major fan of sweet and woody scented perfume. Same goes with nail polishes. Every woman should have a red one, the one for that classic look. And me…Well blue and silver. Needless to say.

IMG_1838

IMG_1840

Heat protected spray and BB cream are beauty products that you cannot miss. I use BB cream daily. It is a perfect alternative of foundation. I go for a BB cream for that natural look. I wrote about my hair secrets. You would know I style my hair a lot and a heat protected spray is counted in my hair routine.

As you have noticed my flat lays are not only with beauty products but also accessories. The reason behind it is décor and that accessories are just like beauty products a detail that makes a look complete.

What are your beauty favourites?

I’m not a travel blogger Loves, but these vacay pictures I really want to share with you. Delusion with me through cultural, historical, beautiful Morocco.

Oujda.

Oujda is my city that I go every Summer too. This city is a city in north-eastern Morocco, the eighth largest city in the country. The city is located about fifteen kilometres west of the Algerian border and about sixty kilometres south of the Mediterranean coast.
I truly find my peace when I go home. This city has not only beautiful architecture but the nature has clean air to breathe. The parks are full of flowers and greens that make you happy just by watching them. Most of all my lovely family are around me.
Whenever you go to Morocco, I recommend not staying in only one place. Make your own adventure!

Rabat.

Rabat is the capitol of Morocco.

Rabat 1

Rabat 2

Al Hoceima.

The beautiful port of Morocco.

BeFunky Collage6

There are many places I’ve been too in Morocco. Tangier, Asilah, Tetouan, Chefchaouan, Al Hoceima, Nador and more. It would be a travel book and not a fashion blog!

For someone who lives in two cultures (Dutch & Moroccan), lives with both worlds. As much I enjoy visiting my country I have a life in the Netherlands simply because I’m born and raised here. Morocco will always be a place to my heart.

Which city would you like to visit in Morocco?

I’ve been taking more care of my hair. I swear by Argan oil. This is truly my golden elixir! I use it daily, when I finish with showering and I apply it after I style my hair.

I did a blogpost before about Argan oil. It has many benefits that will help to protect your hair, to make it healthier and give that natural shine back. It should be in your daily routine to see the difference.

Moroccan women are well known for using natural beauty goodies. Remember my blogpost about rosewater? I use it for my facial routine. Same goes for rosewater, it has many benefits!

Why not mix these goodies together? I used this mix when I went to the beach in Morocco. I wanted to protect my hair from the salty water and the sun. I was so positive about it that I decided to use it more often. As you all know, water and oil does not mix. In this case it doesn’t matter because even though it didn’t truly mix together, the Argan oil was not so oily anymore which makes it perfect for daily use for the ones who don’t prefer oil at all in their hair. Besides a small drop of Argan oil only does not make your hair look like too oily! I use this mix mainly on the ends of my hair to keep it moisturized.

I see and feel that my hair is getting healthier. That I never dyed my hair has to do something with it too. I do style my hair a lot so I’m going to keep using these goodies!

What are your hair secrets?

I was invited to the exclusive H&M beauty event. Such a beautiful experience to attend too! Let me introduce you to the new beauty department of H&M, I promise you, you’ll love it!

H&M is well known from their varied collections, they have applied it to their beauty department too. From skincare to make-up brushes you’ll find it all!

Many colours dominate the shelves, a truly colour Walhalla. What I like about the beauty goodies is they are well pigmented and it stays long when you apply it. Perfect for my up-coming autumn make-up looks! Besides they are make-up candy’s to your eyes. The chic packaging will stand beautiful on your vanity.

I wandered around and took the opportunity to look for an eyebrow kit. The Espresso brow kit caught my eye. I’m going to use it for new looks this autumn. Since I already wanted to try contouring, these blend brushes came in handy. They feel so soft and look professional on my stand. The quality is good too, they don’t lose any hair.

Do you know the new department of H&M too?

IMG_2279

If you have read my previous posts you would know I prefer lightly make-up or no make-up at all. I’m still in my summer vibe; minty OOTD and a strobing make-up look. A nude colour on my nails belongs also in this summer essentials list.

I bought this goodie in Morocco; I’m not familiar with this brand. I searched Cairuo online but it didn’t help me much. That’s too bad because it is a good nail polish!

It covers my nails pretty well. I used it on my hand nails and toe nails and I must say; it doesn’t chip easily, which is good! You will shower a lot in Morocco because of the heat and removing your nail polish everyday should not be an activity to do during your vacay, right?

Event tough I’m not familiar with Cairuo, there is always first and getting to know a brand is not so bad at all when they deliver pretty goodies!

I like this nude nail polish! I even did a nude make-up look. I’m only looking for the perfect nude high heels! Then is my list complete.

Do you like the nude look too?

DRINKS | Moroccan Tea.

IMG_2181

IMG_2182

IMG_2183

IMG_2184

“You are not Moroccan if you don’t know how to make Moroccan tea.’’

Well, that is a strong opinion; then I have to confess: I can make Moroccan tea but there was a time I did not drink it! What you hear about Moroccan tea: too sweet! It’s true. That was the reason I did not drink it. I know what you think: don’t drink it sweet? Believe me when I say I do now but drinking Moroccan tea happens mostly during family gatherings and has a special way to make it. And it is kind of rude to ask only for you tea without sugar. But let me say; if they knew it before they will make it to your wishes.

So, the ones you see everywhere: a cup of mint tea with still the mint leaves in it is just a quick way to make it.

Ingredients:

  • Mint Leaves.
  • Dried Green Tea.
  • Sugar (or not).
  • Water.

Directions:

Boil water until you get bubbles. Pour one tablespoon of dried green tea in the pot. A Moroccan pot is perfect for it. It’s cultural, curvy and beautiful! If you don’t have one, don’t worry a normal teapot works fine. Pour a little bit of the boiled water in the pot swish or swirl it around and pour the water in a cup. Do not throw this away! We are going to use this later. Pour again a little bit of boiled water in the pot, swirl around pour it again in a cup. This time throw the cup away. We do this because the first cup still contains the core of the flavour the second cup is brighter as you can see whenever you make it and is basically not useful. So you are not wasting anything.

Add mint leaves in the pot; use a large amount of the leaves for that extra delicious mint flavour. Then add sugar, as much as you like. Pour the cup you left behind back in the pot and add more boiling water into the pot. Place the pot on the stove and boil it again until you see small foam bubbles. We do this to caramelize the sugar and this gives the Moroccan tea that special flavour!

Before serving pour the tea in a cup pour it back in the tea pot to mix all the ingredients. Pour then the tea high above the cup to get that special foam.

So many steps for that perfect Moroccan tea, enjoy it until the last drop!

I’m on holiday! Yay! Whenever you read this I’m probably already on the road; destination: Morocco!

I’m very excited and nervous at the same time. Even though I visit my country every year, it is always a responsibility. During my trip I go through Belgium, France and Spain. This means a long trip! But this equals enjoying my views and picnicking during my stops.

As much I like visiting my country, I have to let you down. Without Wi-Fi I cannot post until I’m in a hotel. So I have to be patient! Like last year I’ll keep you informed. There will be ootd’s shooting, new make-up looks and hotel reviews. My holiday is going to be very inspirational! I already feel it! I have so many ideas to share with you Loves.

Can’t wait like I do? Feel free to use #SaidaHoliday to see what I’m doing. Follow me on Twitter/Instagram @SaidaChahid for more updates and snap me your holiday pictures on SaidaSnaps. Would be amazing if we can keep this trending!

For the ones who are on the road too, I wish you a safe trip! And the Loves who are already lying on the beach enjoy!

‘’DJ play my favourite song, play it all night long!’’

Are your feet already tip toeing on the floor? Mine is! It is confirmed; music can make you feel good.

I want to share with you Loves my playlist. I’m still having a crush on the music from the 90’s until mid-2000. In particular to R&B, Rap, Hip Hop Arabic and Raï.

I’m not listening to music just because it is music. I know the lyrics from 2Pac – Changes out of my head. Same goes for Dear Mama. Day dreaming to slow jams is also typical me. Who doesn’t know the love songs from Usher, Ne-Yo and Keyshia Cole.

Raï music is very popular in Morocco and Algeria. Many Raï lovers find themselves with the lyrics. From social problems to politics to love; they sing about everything. Same goes with Arabic music.

These are my all-time favourites; enjoy Loves!

Carole Samaha – Khalik Bhehalek.
Keisha White – Weakness In Me.
Keyshia Cole – I Remember.
Cheb Khaled – Didi & Aisha.
2Pac – Changes & Dear Mama.
Usher – Burn.

It has been a while since you have heard from me Loves, I’m so sorry! The reason behind it is I don’t have the energy because I’m more focussing on Ramadan and my vacation. Who doesn’t know those days when you’re planning things and leave the things you love the most behind? Well, I’m guilty of that…

Nevertheless should it mean not to blog for almost two weeks! It’s all about planning and gosh I suck at it! (Any tips? They are truly welcome!)

Let’s get right into it!

I almost finished packing my suitcase. Although it was easy to take my whole closet with me, I had in the back of my mind the question: is it useful? As a fashion blogger you want to pile up your suitcase with ootd’s to shoot, no need to talk about the accessories!

When you are on the road (read: driving two days) you still want to look fresh, you don’t want to worry about your odour so a cute make-up bag comes in handy! Skip taking full sized products and stick with the travel ones. As in make-up taking mascara, BB-cream, blush and your favourite lip gloss or lipstick is more than enough. Besides you always can take more and put it your suitcase and in ‘’a worst case scenario’’ you can buy them during your holiday under the guise of exploring the country! Hihi…

You don’t want to get bored during your trip. It would be the perfect chance to read the book you had in mind or just to flip through a magazine. And what about writing your thoughts about your adventures?

I feel more excited now! Do you?

Lifestyle | When Are You An Artist?

IMG_1819

IMG_1820

I must confess; I don’t paint, write, sketch or draw all the time. Sometimes days or even months go by and I did not lift a finger on a paintbrush or a pencil. Just like the paper stays blanc so does my mind.

Sometimes I ask myself; what do you call yourself, it seems you have all the possibilities that comes with creativity? And I always end up with the same answer; I’m not an artist. I’m someone who enjoys to be creative. I can find joy in many true artist like Picasso and Moroccan artists like Abdelhadi Mourid and Samira Ait el Maalam. I am fascinated by abstract art but abhorrence art which is being hailed as a creative explosion; what is so creative about a blanc canvas or only a dot on a canvas that costs thousands of euros? Don’t get me wrong, every person sees art the way he or she wants to see it. But this seems to me absurd! I guess that’s why I don’t call myself an artist because a true artist don’t judge right? But then again what is wrong in being vanilla in the artist world? Isn’t art supposed to be a form of freedom?

Even though I don’t paint or have the chance to work on my creativity due to many reasons, when I have a reason I enjoy every bit of it and I hope that you all Loves keep enjoying the thing you love to do. Because no matter what comes between your thing that you love, remember how you feel about it! Don’t let someone tell you otherwise.

Ever since I did a review about Essence Lipstick (Cuteness Overload!) my obsession on lipstick started to grow. I have quite a stash now and I’m happy to add Calvin Klein to my collection!

It has a great pigment and the colour stays quite long on your lips. The lipstick itself has a chic look, it looks great on your vanity table!

In the beginning I was searching for the colours that suits mine skin tone and I must say it was quite a journey! Maybe it is me but I’m not waiting on a colour that makes me look sick because it does not do my skin tone right neither I want to make my teeth look yellow, who wants that?

I’ve noticed that any red, darker shades of pink lipstick colours suits perfect with my skin tone! My favourite Calvin is in fact the shade Venus.

I probably will add more Calvin’s to my collection and I recommend it to any lipstick lover, so move over MAC! Calvin is entering many vanity tables! Or you can take them both…Hihi

Which shade do you like Loves?

Event Report | DRKS. Dreams Do Come True.

IMG_1653

Last Sunday I attended the DRKS Bloggers Contest. I got impressed from the moment I walked into the trend show of DRKS until the end.

The hosts gave me and my sister a warm welcome. I imagined myself in a jewellery Walhalla! As I tried the jewellery on, with the help of the cute host, I felt like a princess!

MoiDRKS3

When the trend show started and the models walked on the catwalk too show the beautiful pieces, I did not get bored. So many various items that make the jewellery complete. Freshwater pearls, crystal and many more! Except nickel, you cannot find it in the collection. This makes it unique!

As I get to know more about DRKS, I knew this brand is a success and it will stay a success. The story behind DRKS is a dream came true. Miriam Derksen the designer and founder of DRKS ended her job as a lawyer to go after her dreams. With her 15 years of experience on designing she created her own style.

While trying the jewellery on, I noticed that the jewellery are so light to wear! She thought about this so well, wearing heavy jewellery, especially in your ears can be so annoying. Amazing that she thought about this little detail!

IMG_1638

IMG_1621

What I love about DRKS is that Miriam has an eye for details and a thoughtful thought towards her production and collections. Not only is the jewellery handmade in the Netherlands, she wanted her creations to be pure and honest! No mass production in low wage countries! How amazing is that?

It was so nice to meet her! She took her time to give answers to me and my sister’s questions. She even gave me advice to talk with other designers for a possible collaboration. Talking about women empowering!

I’m still having that lightly vibe. When I painted my nails, I thought about that summer blue sky! Beautiful colour.

This nail polish from Maybelline New York lasts up to 7 days! I had to try it, I hate having flaked nails after a while. And I must say it does what it says! I think it’s because it has calcium, iron and silica in it. Maybelline Forever Strong #610 Ceramic Blue is truly a pearl on your nails.

Who hasn’t waved their hands to dry your nails? With this Quick Dry Spray from H&M it is no longer needed! You just wait 60 seconds and spray it on your nails and you’re done. Saves you the crazy looks from your little brothers or anyone else hihi…

Beauty Tip | My Facial Care, My Routine.

IMG_1453

IMG_1454

IMG_1459

IMG_1457

Facial care is very import to me, I suffer from acne. Who else too? In my puberty I suffered from it a lot! Thank god every now and then some pops on my yaw line and cheeks. Let me spare you the details but please do let me know if you want to know how I have threaten my acne!

To spare my face from many break outs I treat my face with care! It slowly turned an obsession to me to have a clean clear skin.

I start my routine as, every morning I wash my face with lukewarm water. Dry it then off with a face towel then I smear my face with a skin purifying day and night crème from Kruidvat. This face cream contains Tea Tree Oil to reduce impurities. It also has Allantion and Camomile extract, for a soothing effect. I apply then my make-up and sometimes I don’t.

When de day is over I wash my face again, then I exfoliate with Odina Visage Peeling Crème. Sometime I use my Ayvo facial cleanser, mostly once/twice a week otherwise I use my facial natural sponge. Because exfoliating your face every day is a beauty don’t, doing it once/twice a week is perfect! I put my face crème on and I’m good during my night!

Before I go to sleep I use my rosewater to remove the last things off my face. Yes, even my crème! I prefer to sleep with nothing on my face. Rosewater nourishes my skin. It is anti-bacterial, perfect for my oily skin! Read more about it here.

Tip! Use a small towel only for your face! Instead of wipe, dab your face! Treat your face gently.
Tip! Never sleep with make-up on! Tired of your routine? Facial wipes works too.

What is your routine?

Beauty Review | You Make Me Wanna’ Blush!

IMG_1372 IMG_1373 IMG_1376 IMG_1377

The sun shines, many colourful pops of clothing on the streets, everybody looks at their best…And a blush comes in handy!

Beauty comes is many colours and sizes and we should embrace it! Cute blushing cheeks are not only adorable but also trending this summer.

In my make-up routine I use a blush regularly. It adds the complete touch of my look. In the winter season I mostly prefer a sun kissed brown blush for a healthy look. In the spring and summer season pink and peach coloured blushes are my favourite!

Many Loves ask me what the best way is to apply a blush. I always say: there are many ways and I’m not a professional make-up artist. I’m just a girl who likes make-up! The way I do it is from the apples of your cheeks until the half way of the end of my cheekbones. Blush should be used for an adorable blushing not like stripes until your ears like you are in the army! Such a blush don’t.

What is your best way?

Fashion is to me an artistic expression of defining who you are. Through clothing you’ll get to know a bit of people just by looking at their first sight.

Whenever I see the work from LEREN CONNOR I see refined modern art. The fashion and jewellery designer based in Derby England has an eye for details. She has truly magic hands.

Her focus on every clothing piece can be seen on the fabric and shape. The thoughts behind her collections is that no fabric is a waste. She believes in recycling, charity shops and second hand clothing pieces which makes her collections more and more beautiful.

“He who knows how to appreciate colour relationships, the influence of one colour on another, their contrasts and dissonances, is promised an infinitely diverse imagery.” ~Sonia Delaunay

”For S/S15 we bring you the colours of spring and summer, the vibes of the festival season, those relaxing summer nights, day trips out with the girls and the atmosphere of the heat and that inner rainbow we all have inside us. We all rejoice in the sun and bask in the fresh smell of blooming flowers and the cool breezes that pass through the freshly cut grass and moves through the trees. They’re the seasons of adventure and spontaneity, the months of relaxation, but also a time to get your best summer attire out the wardrobe and show the world your vibrant self.”

”S/S15 for us was all about mixing colour and print together, the atmosphere of summer and the calm of spring inspired me, inspiration from warm memories and the blissful moods of spring and summer, everything is always brighter and colour flows frequently in every direction. I began with pantones and began to bring in neutrals that contrasted well when the prints were brought into play, making sure the collection was versatile and capsule collection was key, it needed to target a wider audience.”

DSC_0591

”I wanted to create simple yet eclectic garments that you can wear either in the day and then mix it up in the evening, the collection ranges from festival wear, casual wear and evening wear. Fabrics through out the collection are a combination of recycled material and also fabric from our suppliers, I also had the pleasure of making our own fabric for this collection, in two of the jackets we see our free fabric which are made up from all the scraps of fabric used through out the collection. Three of the dresses are made from free lace with each piece having their own colour way. Recycling is and will always be a huge part of what we do here at Leren Connor and what a better way to show it off through our S/S15 capsule collection.”

Beauty Review | Moroccan Beauty Goodies!

IMG_1247

IMG_1244

Not only is Argan Oil the liquid gold from Morocco, there is a lot more Moroccan beauty goodies to find! From left to right let me introduce you to Henna, Rose Water and Ghassoul Clay.

Most of you all know what Henna is. But what does it really do?

Applying on your hair makes you hair healthier. It grows your hair faster and gives you your shine back from heat damage and many hair colouring. Just like Argan oil Henna should also be used pure natural. Read the package or go to your local Moroccan/Islamic store to buy the real deal.
Are you worried that your hair will turn in orange? Don’t! It depends on your hair colour how it turns out. How darker you hair colour how darker it would be. How lighter your hair colour how lighter it would be.

Not only is Henna a goodie for your hair, who doesn’t know about the body henna tattoos? If you want that darker orange colour to stay on your body part, sleep a day with it on your body part and that’s it!

IMG_1250

Rose Water is a flavoured water made by steeping rose petals in water. It can be used as perfume and as skin care. The benefits of Rose water are a blessing. You can use Rose water for puffy eyes, to soften dry skin, a make-up remover, apply it after you shave, it reduces the wrinkles progress, apply it when you have sunburns to ease the pain, as aromatherapy, use two cups of Rose Water to your bathwater to moisturize your skin and it tightens pores! It also can be used to freshen your face throughout the day as a spray mist. Perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer!

Rose Water is filled with ant-oxidants and various vitamins. I use it every night before I go to sleep to nourish my skin. It is anti-bacterial, perfect for my oily skin! And yes, it really does smell like roses!

IMG_1246

IMG_1251

Ghassoul Clay a Moroccan beauty goodie I recommend to everyone! Ghassoul Clay can only be find at the Atlas Mountains in the North Eastern of Morocco. This natural organic clay has many benefits like the other Moroccan beauty goodies.

Ghassoul is well known for absorbing impurities from skin and hair. It gives the skin and hair a highly minerals shot! For more than fourteen centuries it is used by Moroccan people. It is indispensable in many Moroccan Hammams and homes.

Ghassoul improves skin texture, reduces dryness, reduces flakiness, improves skin elasticity and improves skin clarity. Very impressive! Wait to know what it does for your hair.
Ghassoul can be used as natural shampoo and hair masker. It enhances the hair texture and volume, softens the hair and eliminates dandruff.

Ghassoul to me is a great stress reliever! I apply warm water with it and stir it up until it is a thick paste and use it as a face mask. I leave it like that for 20 to 30 minutes and when I rinse it off my skin has the glow of an instant boost! It removes the redness of skin which is amazing for acne. Love Your Event Report | I Love My Hair!

I was steady ready for the I Love My Hair Event! It is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to visit such events. I am very happy to get to know people who have the same interest as me!

What is it all about? HAIR! That’s right…This event was all about curly and frizz hair. As a curly head it was a very informational day.

How do you treat curly/frizz hair?

Curly/frizz hair is often mistaken as damaged hair but in fact all it needs is moisture. Use natural products for your hair avoid all sulphate chemicals! Don’t forget to use once a week a hot oil treatment for your hair. Coconut oil, Argan oil or olive oil works pretty fine!

Get to know your own hair! Do you eat healthy? Do you have stress? Got your hair to tight in a ponytail or bun? Hair loss? If you do it’s time to take good care of your hair and yourself.

Avoid stress by talking with someone about it or do something that sets your mind off on the daily things in life, change your routine! Loosen a bit of your hair tights on your ponytail or bun and wear your hair down.

Skip your daily eating habits! Replace snacks with healthy snacks like cherry tomatoes, carrots and cucumber. Vitamin B & D is a great help for your hair.

Sleep well and drinking water is a cliché but very affective!

My hair, don’t care!

I have curly hair that tends to dryness. I style my hair a lot but then again I take good care of it, at least that’s what I thought. To me is Argan oil a jewel for my hair I use it daily. I wash my hair with Dove shampoo and conditioner dry & damaged hair (because I style it a lot) and once a week a give my hair a mask from the same brand as my shampoo. That is enough right? Well…No! The problem is sulphate!

Because of this event I did not style my hair for *drum rolls* two weeks! Mooney Zichterman the power women behind this event opened my eyes. You should be happy with your own hair! I see and feel that my hair is softer then before and I’m losing less hair which to me was a big problem.

From now on I’m going to take more care of my hair do you?

Beauty Review | Essence Lipstick Cuteness Overload!

IMG_0859 IMG_0860 IMG_0862 IMG_0864

I am obsessed with lipstick….Since a month! I am a daily lipgloss user but now I can combine it with lipstick. The reason why I prefer lipgloss is that it is easy to apply, no lipgloss marks on your teeth! Because of the gloss it stays longer on your lips and you can apply it very quick without looking in a mirror! Using a lipstick gives you a lot more of work don’t you think? To me I have to look if I don’t apply it like a clown, imagine you giving a big smile to the cute guy you just past by, seeing yourself in a window with lipstick marks on you teeth! Well….I just describe a movie scene but you know what I mean…

I did not want to spend a lot of money on a expensive lipstick like MAC especially I know from myself that I am not going to use it a lot like lipgloss. I saw many Dutch beautybloggers reviewing Essence lipstick and they were were positive about it so I tought why not buy one to see for myself? And I did! They are right it’s a amazing budgetkiller! I love the pigment, it stays long on your lips and the Essence logo on the lipstick is a cute touch!

I am thinking to put my lipglosses on the hold and start using more lipstick…!

P.s. Do you also have the elegant feeling when you put lipstick on? When you make that kissing sound after you apply it…? Well at least I do!

Beauty | Argan Oil The Truth!

IMG_0827

Beauty lovers out there! You all have heared about Argan Oil right?

DON’T believe in the products that say it contains Argan Oil. Most of the products don’t have it! This is because the Argan Tree (Argania Spinosa) grows only on the South side of Morocco, it is very protected because of the effect that Argan oil has. Because of that many cosmetics companies are trying to get it in a other way or trying to reproduce it.

If you don’t use it pure don’t bother at all. In Morocco they call it liquid Moroccan Gold for a reason. So what does Argan oil exactly do?

IMG_0832

Skin:

Argan oil is most commonly used as a skin moisturiser to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, argan oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturiser. It is easy to use all over the body, including the face and neck. Simply smooth a few drops into your skin using gentle rubbing motions, as you would any face and body lotion.

It sounds crazy but if you have acne Argan oil is a very good remedy! Apply twice a week a little bit on your face and leave it like that during your day and shower afterwards or cleanse it of you feel instantly a soft skin! If you keep doing this for a long time your skin get healthier. This include for acne scars, stretch marks, dry skin, anti – aging and many more!

Hair:

Argan oil is proven to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. It is the ideal hair conditioner, and it can even help to treat split ends and tame frizzy hair. Due to its ability to tame frizz and give hair shine, argan oil is also commonly used as a styling agent. It makes hair more manageable and adds a healthy, attractive shine to any hair style. This is an ideal step to add to your daily routine after blow-drying. Rub a few drops of argan oil over your palms and then comb your fingers through your hair to apply.

I use it ALWAYS for my hair! After I shower I use little drops just to have the benefits listed above. Having problems with hair loss? Argan oil!

Foot, hand & nail treatment:

Argan oil’s softening properties are ideal for brittle nails, dry hands and cracked, hard skin on feet. It both moisturises and softens skin, leaving hands and feet supple and soft and nails strong and healthy. Try massaging a few drops of argan oil into cuticles, hands and feet before bed each night.

Lip Moisturiser:

Especially in cold or dry weather, lips can easily become sore, dry and cracked. Argan oil is the ideal product to ensure lips stay plump, soft and supple. Rub a drop or two into dry lips as a balm – but be sure to wipe off any excess.

I recommend Argan oil to everyone! All girls should have a bottle in there bathrooms! This is just of a glimpse of many benefits from Argan oil. Imagine what it could do if you use it in your food!

Do you want to purchase Argan oil, please go to your local Moroccan, Islamic food/convenience store. This is the only way to make yourself sure that you have the real deal. If you want to buy it online look for label that says 100% Argan oil. There is NO preservative products in pure Argan oil, if you read it on a label it’s not real. This also goes if it’s mixed with other cosmetic products. Argan oil is long maintainable.

I hope you like it loves!

Dutch Model Event Report. | A New World!

IMG_0232 IMG_0236 IMG_0302 IMG_0245 IMG_0365 IMG_0455 IMG_0404 IMG_0498 I attended the Dutch Model Event as you can see. It’s an event that visitors and future models can attend to get casted for fashion shows. That can be for haute couture and commercial. You also can get casted for television as in commercials and acting roles.

Ofcourse I was very excited! Like it was a new world for the future models it was for me too! I saw beautiful creations on the catwalk! I really liked the collection of Dutch designer Addy van den Krommenacker! This collection was ready to wear which is very nice to see from a designer. The last picture is his creations. http://www.addyvandenkrommenacker.com

I also liked Qalanjo. It’s a African/Somali clothing line that is modernized in traditional clothing. It was very beautiful to see the link between high fashion and culture. They did it very well! http://www.qalanjofashion.com
