Lifestyle – Tips | How I Prepare For College.

College; the place I spend most of my time and I must admit, it can be challenging. I don’t know about you Loves but I have a hate/love relationship with my studies especially when I’m not prepared or I have a workplace that is a mess and I mean this not only on my desk but also my home. So, my first tip: create a good working place. It can be your room, at the library or the study places at your college and university. Pick a place where you not get easily distracted. When you’re living home, like me. I let them know that I don’t want to be disturbed and that I’m only available in case of a fire. Its sounds pernickety but because of this you can focus on your studies.

Having good stationary is half the work and this is the part I love to put afford in! I’m quite obsessed with cute pastel coloured pens and marble printed notebooks, well with everything that is marble printed. I vow for making things your own and personal so don’t feel embarrassed if you want matching stationary or even a themed one. Feel free! Let’s admit it; it feels good to have those frills.

Whenever I have home work to do or some reading, I place it into my to-do organizer. These organizers come in very good use when you place it on your desk or close to your view to remind yourself that a task is waiting to be done and when you finished it, place it in your done organizer before you store it permanent or you want to take it with you to hand it in. I find this systematic organizing very helpful during my studies and personal tasks.

I find binders also helpful during my studies. Using tabs to separate paper for different subjects, it is just a good way to use one binder for many subjects. I use this mostly to write summaries for my exams. To give myself small reminders and if I want to emphasize important words or tasks I use post its. I stuck them on the inside of my binder, now I have it always close to my sight.

To stay motivated and having an overview of all my homework, daily tasks and to-do’s I use printouts. I found online perfect ones! I got mine calendar from Scattered Squirrel and other printouts from The Organize Student. Definitely credits to the owners! I use them daily, they are easy to use and perfect for an organized freak like me.

  1. I also love marble printed things. No matter what they are lol. A tip I used during college was that I did quicker assignments first and then concentrated to those which took more time.

  2. Reblogged this on MARSHALL W THOMPSON, SR and commented:
So much has changed sense I went to college. My grand child may need to know about this. There are so many things girls have to deal with than boys do. The boys just need to deal with me! I am beginning to understand why women are better humans than men. My research on “girl stuff” has opened my eyes to a lot as well as raised a few eyebrows. I have enjoyed it, so who cares. Thanks, #SaidaChahid Peace, Marshall

  3. That is a college student or any person’s for that matter dream desk setup! You are so cute with your labels, tabs, and just overall impeccable organizational skills. I also love the color scheme of all your materials, its so pretty to look at! Great way to start off a fresh college year!
